Thanks to this video, I can now neatly tell "striking" from "strumming", though I still don't feel able to distinctly translate them in french.

Hi Bobby, I appreciate that you used another angle so I can see exactly how you hold the pick and strum the strings. Really helpful! I'm still trying to find out what is the best angle for me, as my middle finger, ring finger and pinky tend to abrase the strings when strumming and it's becoming quite painful. If I adjust my wrist to where those three fingers are further away from the guitar, then I tend to tense up. Quite a beginner dilemma. Let me know if you have any advice!

Thank you for the kind comment and question below! Two ideas come to mind... 1) hold less of the pick so that more of the pick has space to make contact and keeps your knuckle further away from strings, 2) notice that when I strum that I actually stick out my pinky, ring, and middle as if I am making an “A-OK” sign, which keeps knuckles away from strings. I prefer that approach as well for being able to mute the strings with the flat part of my palm/fingers. In any case, staying relaxed and trusting yourself is important. It comes with time, and you can do this! Let me know how those ideas work. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

How to slide guitar with a pick? Can i slide also with fingers?

Doing a “pick scrape” along length of strings takes practice. Just keep trying it with the edge of your pick (right hand) down the length of the low strings. But if you are asking about “slide guitar” then you need to buy a slide that goes around your finger (left hand). I hope that helps! 🤘🏻
