Great variety of Little & Large - so many variations. Once again , it is such a pity that few seem to know how to set up a plow on a Ferguson - so simple - NO Tail wheel needed to adjust on a Plough. The Tandem seems to be doing better with that different plow though. Funny how some have so much front end wiight and others not at all, how track width varies so much etc ....Just shows you!! good to see. Cheers

65 Massey Ferguson a very good all round tractor. I have a IMT 539 it's the same as the TO35 Massey Ferguson they are good little tractors after adding some weight to them.

At the time the mf65 was built no other tractor could match the hydraulics gear box or Perkins engine international had grinding gears and Smokey engines

Do you people fill the rear tyres with water for more traction?

Well if they knew how to set up the plough combo PROPERLY : ie how to use DRAFT /Draught Control and have the correct track width, plow weight / Number of furrows ( at least 3 ) and THREW AWAY he Wheel on the Plow - It's a FERGUSON, remember? - they SHOULDN't be using a depth control wheel. Heavens to goodness, I've used a 4-F 14" with full disc coulters and Auo-reset trips without using a depth control wheel.( not on a 650 - but had a 3-F on a148MP -no bother at all. Water( + Salt) was fine because it APPEARED to allow the tyres to Hug the ground better than Hi Air PRessure with wheel weights. Problem with UK MAsseys, they ALWAYS came as standard with Narrower t tyres and lower PRs compared with the opposition. 11/12.4 -28 or 32 or 36 whereas Ford & IH used 12/13.6-28 or 32 or 36 with 6 or maybe even 8PR whereasMF sold 4PR as standard. It was interesting to see the variation in wheel setups: Std 32" optional 36" and the Hi-clearance Front axles with 38" wheels:Just a pity that most only seemed to have 2-Fur ploughs: Put a SINGLE Furrow plow onto a big tractor and mamke a fool of it - more draft than weight transferred onto rear axle. Hope this helps

You will have to unscrew the oil plug on the left side of the gear lever. Then you will see the large gear in the gearbox. You take an iron rod and press the clutch you try to bring it back to gear by leveling it vertically ...
If the gear does not move, you must rotate the drive shaft through the gears and then try to equalize the gear.
