First of all, let me thank Dr. Nabil for his excellent piece of work.
I have found English to be a very difficult language to master and Prepositions in particular. This is something I have copied from Cambridge English Dictionary. See how in, under and about are used. There are practically no rules in applying prepositions. The correct application of prepositions depends on circumstances.
I think she coped very well under the circumstances.
Obviously we can't deal with the problem until we know all the circumstances.
She died in suspicious circumstances.
We oppose capital punishment in/under any circumstances.
Under no circumstances should you (= you should not) approach the man.
The meeting has been canceled due to circumstances beyond our control.
Having lived more than two decades in North America where 24/7 the medium of communication is English yet to this date, I struggle with correct usage of prepositions. On one occasion I had met a librarian in British Columbia and asked her how I would know to use correct prepositions. The lady was bit lost to find me asking her such a question. All she said prepositions are like that. Keep reading books, regularly converse with your US and Canadian friends and do not think much about prepositions. Well, in the present changing global environment and colonial mindset in its eclipse phase, nobody truly cares if its correct preposition or not.
I have one advice to the readers. Please do not view or try to understand preposition based on explanations like since something is sitting on something means it will always be ON. This way of learning to apply preposition is nothing but a recipe for disaster. Again this mindset will lead you to too many confusions with correct application of prepositions.
I agree with you. You showed that sticking to one rule only can lead to mistakes in many other cases. However, when a child whose first language is not English starts to learn the language, can you tell him/her to try to only learn by listening to their friends or family or television? It might be disastrous for people with more advanced knowledge in the uses of preposition, but for new learners this kind of explanation is necessary and life-saving. Thus, students struggling with the basics of preposition can rely on the teachers who are trying their best to make it easy for them. Also the rules that are generally taught in these videos may not show all the uses of one preposition but the rules that are described are not wrong in any way. Your comment also provides the view from a different perspective and has helped me to observe the use of prepositions in different circumstances.

স্যার আপনি তো শুধু at, on, in নিয়ে কথা বললেন। কিন্তু এইগুলো ছাড়াও আরও বেশ কিছু প্রিপ্রোজিশান রয়েছে যেগুলো নিয়ে কথা বললেননি। যেমন Besides, about, to after, with, from, by, of, into, for ইত্যাদি নিয়ে কথা বললেন না। দয়া করে এগুলো নিয়ে ও একটা লেকচার দিবেন।
