- Caitlin Clark finished with a team-high 22 PTS, 8 AST and 6 REB and Kelsey Mitchell (17 PTS, 2 REB, 2 AST) was back in the starting lineup, but the Fever fell to New York 91-80.

Keep Clark at point guard and she will continue to cook
when the rest of the team plays team ball .... they looked like a last place team.
The degree of difficulty on those 3's is insane, most of them she is travelling sideways from distance through the air whilst aiming and letting it fly, just pure athletic entertainment CC, ty.

Watched this live on the WNBA League Pass last night at 1AM my time. From the Philippines. Totally worth it seeing Caitlin with the ball and shooting with more confidence. Good game, everyone. Keep your heads up. Go, Caitlin! Go Fever! Looking forward to the next game. 🤘🥳

Caitlin played well I'm happy she finally played an efficient game. The whole team needs play defense better. And Caitlin teammates needs be more efficient and they will win games. But I'm impressed with Caitlins game 3.

PLEASE bench Wheeler. I know she has a big contract, but she is turning out to be the biggest liability right now. Yes, Boston isn't doing well, but I'd rather her stay on court than Wheeler. It's getting painful to watch when Wheeler has the ball.
Boston is just out of shape. She'll get better as the weeks move on.

It should be Clark, Katie, Lexi, Wallies, Smith, Fagbenle, Berger playing. They have energy, fast and can catch the ball, good ball rotation too.

Was hoping Celeste gets to play, too. I think she only played a few minutes during the preseason games, showed she worked well with Caitlin. She should fit right in with the others mentioned here.
@@torigabriel6025 I could not agree more. I’m a Hawkeye, and I know Celeste was from a Rival school at Ohio State but I watched her games and her defense is excellent. Celeste needs to be grtting some time to Get used to WNBA pace and playing. Celeste and Caitlin get along as friends very well actually, And they worked well together during team practices and drills
I think Fever could win, if the difference had been less than 20 points in the first half. They dropped that difference to 11 points!
If they made all those missed layups probably the outcome would of been different.I am rooting for Caitlin all the way.the haters will get their just do someday

Nice progress. There is a reason the Fever got the 1st pick in the draft. They get dominated inside the paint and in rebounding while playing porous defense. They are a young small team that is still working on their team chemistry on offense but it will get better as time goes. They do need some bigger players inside as they don’t have a player that can score with their back to the basket or block shots.
0:36 is almost exactly where she hit that buzzer beater against Indiana lol. She definitely likes her signature spots.
Sabrina vs Clark will be legendary for years. I think both coaches need to make a pact to let them guard each other.

A very respectable loss by Fever to a championship contender.👏 (Doesn't hurt to listen to fans, does it?) This game is good for their confidence. More dynamic offense and fun to watch with CC22 quarterbacking. She will just have to absorb those TOs until her teammates learn to catch her bullet passes. Hope their defense improves vs the best defensive team on Monday. If they can eke out a win against Connecticut, it will be huge. ROY for Clark and playoff contention waving on the horizon.👋 And please play Berger and Taylor.🙏

Good game today. Much better letting Clark have the ball more. I could see the excitement in her eyes again. She had been looking so defeated. Mitchell and Wheeler are weak ball hogs who insist on shooting when better shooters are open. They are NOT shooting Point guards! And how many “bad games” are you going to let Boston have?” She is a liability also. He put on muscle but no cardio at all. Constantly out of breath. And missing too many dimes. Clark could have easily had a double double if not for Boston and the game might have even been won. I know they are your vets, but if they don’t want to share the ball get rid of them, they are liabilities. Missing way too many baskets by being selfish. Sabrina and Stewart left way too open too often.

Indiana has the slowest frontcourt in the W, they'll never be able to play at the pace they want with these three in the game

This was more enjoyable, and looked alot smoother. I know there’s still going to be critics out there with negative comments, that’s normal anymore these days. , I’m just more hopeful, Being a lifelong Hawkeye I actually got to see my Caitlin get into a better rhythm tonight more typical of Caitlin Basketball. She’s always been a great Passer so hopefully the players get used to those bullet passes. Watching alot of the Fever practices and drills, Caitlin was often passing the ball behind the back and from every direction with very Quick Passing, but Other Fever Players were Not Used to that, and I still don’t think they’re quite used to it, but they are getting better. I’ve seen Every single game of Caitlin’s, including high school , Caitlin has an incredibly high basketball IQ she’s a Hard Study of the Game. And No Offense but Caitlin likely knows far more about The Game than Coach Sides does, and if Coach keeps her in Her comfortable Point Guard Position allowing Caitlin to Help lead the Directional flow of the game, including transition, things are going to be alot smoother.
On a personal note, I would love to see Celeste Taylor playing getting some time to feel the WNBA pace. Celeste is a great defensive player and her and Caitlin know each other very well, and actually get along well, Celeste, Caitlin, Lexi, Katie Lou and Grace all did excellent during training and drills together and work well together. I love aliyah Boston, but I think with Katie Lou’s height, and Physique she should be put more under the basket, more often, and see what happens. I think that people would be surprised to see her physical prowess and abilities versus Aliyah’s.
Lastly, I think the entire team needs to play better Defense, I’m just not seeing much of that, And that’s why I think early on right now Things need to be switched up with various players coming into the game to try some different Defensive schemes and strategies.
Indiana Fever all eyes are on you .. Not Just CC .. The team, coaches , and the franchise .. From the casual fan to hard core basketball fans that are giving the W another chance .. The spot light is here ..I keep hearing Eminem yelling .. Look... If you had... one shot... or one opportunity... To seize everything you ever wanted... one moment... Would you capture it? Or just let it slip?

Fever team- Study the rules of the game. Too many fouls! Fouling during defense isn’t worth it. Do *not* shoot if you aren’t confident in making it. Pass it. Losing the ball to the other team isn’t worth it.
Coach Sides - Better game tonight. Liked to see Caitlin playing more similar to her style. Her shooting skills need to be utilized a little more. Each player has their strength - build plays based on it. Quit the Boston play of pushing under the basket…it isn’t working. Smith needs to work on keeping the ball in her hands. Utilize Fagbenle’s height for defending. She can swat the ball. And she’s doing great layups, she just needs to better judge how much power to use. Mitchell’s a strong offense when it comes to pushing a player off her and often pushes through several. Strategize plays that support that. She could be doing it in a quicker sequence. She can’t be pushing through a wall of players under the basket. Berger might have a thing for 3’s. Samuelson seems good at corners.
To Both Teams: This game was fine, but it’s still good to avoid unnecessary physicality. Nobody wants to see it. All of you know how to defend while minimizing the chances of injuring other players. Keep it smooth.
I am sure the entire Indiana Fever management team, coaching staff, and players will read your comment and use it to shape their decisions. They probably wouldn't have thought about any of that if not for your comment.
I am sure also, that everyone knows "cameront2023" is a very knowledgeable person regarding basketball, and when they say something, the whole league better listen.

more conditioning, practice catching those long passes, more movement after a pass....keep on getting your opponents second guessing.

It's obvious that the more that Caitlin has the ball in her hands, the better the offense is going to be. It needs to go through her. Some of her teammates are really out of shape, and there's no excuse for that. Isn't this their chosen profession?

Its a given that the fever will struggle this season. They have to ride the early season bumps they will be better. Clark is gonna be better.
Need a rotation of berger/wheeler off the bench , play the hotter player...
Wheeler needs to be traded or let go. berger, taylor, hull needcto all see some minutes. need to pick up another big that can run the floor and catch a pass.
Thay need to build a team around Caitlan. The other players don't want to play ball, nice hand shakes and tattoos though.

Clark needs to be on ball at all times. She is a negative off ball.
But Clark isn’t perfect. She needs to participate on defense. She hurt her team on that side of the ball.
