Thank you for the feedback Sean! Your past portfolio reviews were super helpful and gave me a ton of inspiration to improve my own. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words Sean. I got a bit carried away with the banners on the app pages! I will definitely take your advice and continue improving :)
You could try an expanding section under each app on the my work section. That way you could let someone see at high level, after expanding, what went into the app and THEN have the option to see all the details. Might be a happy medium
Honestly, these freshmen CS students are so far ahead of the game that they don't even need the websites. They'll get great internships and subsequent return offers from a resume alone.
Hey Sean, as someone who must surely have been in the same position. How should a beginner in App Development approach the design concept for an app idea? Where do you get your inspirations apart from those Portfolios? Have you done some sort of app design course next to learning app programming? And at last, how complex should an application be before submitting it to the app store, so it would be worth to add to ones portfolio?
I never took a design course, but have been involved in app design for 5 years now. I spend a lot of time on design sites like dribbble (yes, three b's), behance, muzli, various design UA-cam channels, etc...
Hi Sean, I’ve been developing iOS apps for about 4 yrs already, but I haven’t made any side projects/apps that I can put on my portfolio because of NDA. Can you suggest what are good apps to start with?

Thanks for submitting. It's a good portfolio overall, but there are always improvements to be made 😀

You're probably right. Internships are huge. But having a great website can't hurt
It's very nice to see how much you value design and have good points of view about it. Keep up doing these great videos, Sean!
Thanks Alex!

(This is a question for everyone) In all honesty as an IOS developer would you rather develop your own portfolio website or use a site like Wix?
I think Reade could actually use some improvements😅
Is it absolutely necessary to have published in the appStore in order to have a good junior iOS portfolio?
It certainly helps, but I wouldn't say it's 100% necessary. You can have a strong portfolio of projects without one being on the App Store.
@@seanallen Thank you
Do iOS developers pay someone to make their portfolios or do they code it themselves?
Both. Some build their own, some use sites like Squarespace
Way to make me feel like shit
