Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is a role-playing video game developed by Square and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1996. Super Mario RPG's story focuses on Mario and his friends as they seek to defeat the Smithy Gang, who has crashed into their world and scattered the seven star pieces of Star Road. Super Mario RPG is the first RPG in the Mario franchise, drawing from major elements of Square's RPG franchises such as Final Fantasy. The main form of fighting enemies is turn-based combat with a party of up to three characters. It is also the first game in the Mario franchise to have gameplay within an isometric 3D environment, allowing for a new variety of the exploration and platforming elements reminiscent of the Super Mario series.
Super Mario RPG was critically acclaimed, and particularly praised for its humor and 3D-rendered graphics. A remake of Super Mario RPG was announced for the Nintendo Switch in June 2023 and released on November 17, 2023. It was developed in the Unity engine by ArtePiazza, which had previously worked on games in Square Enix's Dragon Quest series. It features full 3D graphics, updated character and enemy names, with Princess Toadstool being called Princess Peach to reflect her modern nomenclature and Frogfucius being renamed Frog Sage, and the option to switch between the original music and a newly arranged soundtrack by Shimomura. New battle mechanics include the ability to damage all enemies when performing perfect action commands, and powerful team-specific "triple moves" performed after building a gauge using successful action commands. Other additions include an easier difficulty setting, a bestiary to view enemies the player has encountered, and post-game content, including a sound player and more difficult boss rematches. According to the review aggregrator Metacritic, it received "generally favorable reviews", and 96% of critics recommend it on OpenCritic.
I like how after you got the Super Slap, you just gave Peach the basic Slap weapon instead.
IT SUCKS the Frying Pan is not only her BEST weapon its buyable as soon as the Axem rangers are killed.

"Piece of cake, huh???" Dr. Topper, thou art cruel! Some of those questions were pretty brutal, and the fact that you need to restart after failing is just icing on the cake.
But at least the game AUTO saves as soon as you enter each door but auto saves AGAIN after you lose.

So, about the "take 21 coins" thing, what you wanna do is try to end on a multiple of 5.
Since you can do a maximum of 4 at a time, you can always do that as long as he messes up at least once.
So like, you start off taking however many, let's say 3, and he takes another 3 to make it 6.
Now you can get multiples of 5 every round: you take 4 to make it 10, no matter what he picks you can adjust to make it 15, and no matter what he picks the following round you can adjust to make it 20, forcing him to take the 21st.
The strategy varies depending on how many points you need to get, and how many coins you can take at once, and it needs to be a one-on-one so it won't work in the Mario Party minigame. So, like. It can get complicated, but there is a strategy to it.
I like how this guy set a game for Mario that is mathematically solved _in his favor_ and then still loses.
An interesting gimmick for the final dungeon, the variety of trials outside the normal gameplay loop.

16:07 yeah I think is better if you actually finish bowser castle then when you come back you an actually use the warp to the bowser doors or the “boss room” whenever, and that is great considering your reward to beating said boss, I would HATE to have to do those bowser doors every time I want to get there.
Correct but on the ORIGINAL SNES game that's NOT really possible IF you DO decide to enter Bowser's Keep itself.

Good grief, that trivia thing would cause many inattentive players to rage quit I fear. Not too bad with the first games gauntlet Masae, you only had to do the marble hopping game twice before winning. I don’t like that kind of puzzle either, you are not alone.

I prefer the PUZZLE NOT action doors after the 2 battle ones.
Oh my gosh I HATED that stupid Puzzle door. I got suck on that for a long while the first time I played this game (well the original of course)

Personally, when I go through the Six Doors the first time, I try to avoid the Puzzle ones as they only reward Rock Candy while the other Doors have weapons for the other party members.
Yeah, Rock Candy is great, but in this game, you can only carry three at a time. Plus Masea's already beaten Culex, which is one of the best bosses to use Rock Candy on. In the old game, a lot of people grinded Rock Candies specifically to use on Culex (myself included) Though the Axem Rangers are another good boss to use them on.
I will also say that it's worth it to get the Drill Claw, Star Gun, and Sonic Cymbals. The super slap isn't better than the frying pan, so you might be fine to do one puzzle room and skip that weapon.
About that Culex DOES have a POST game version of it so the 3x Rock Candies that you can still get NOW SHOULD be used for the Post game Culex boss and NOT the OTHER Post game bosses you must kill first.
But even on the SNES version I still prefer getting the Rock candies here if you didn't fight Culex yet.
