Did a double take when I realized who this was. Translating The Name has been in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. Saw Saosin like 10+ times in my life, all the way back with Anthony in 2003 and with Cove quite a few times. You guys pretty much got me into music. As for Kyle, Counterparts has been a more recent obsession. Caught you guys with Emmure in Pittsburgh last year, picked up a vinyl copy of YNYA. Man, two of my favorite drummers in one comment section.
I always love visiting your drum videos, and literally feel like they’re the coolest drum videos, the audio, the bokeh on the videos, the feel, all of it.
TheOnlyJayke please tell me he was the guy who always had it at the angle where you could only see his arms playing? And have the screen appear on the right side? If so I used to fucking love that guy and if this was him I’d be soooo so happy
harry_sandusky what do you think of you're not you anymore? I didn't catch on until tragedy will find us.. But this album rocks and it will always hit home to me cause of the shit i was dealing with when it came out. Love this band. They're playing in Boston with Emmure 5-12
William Hamill as of now i think i like Tragedy more than YNYA (but i still love YNYA) but I said the same thing about TDBHH when Tragedy first came out so it’ll probably continue to grow on me even more. lyrically i think i like Tragedy more but I think the songs/ album tie in together much more on YNYA especially in the music video for the song YNYA i think we see that. Tragedy just seemed like a lot of different miserable songs but they didn’t attempt to work together towards anything (not that they needed to). I think YNYA has more/better bangers but there is a song or two that i thought was a little weak and i didn’t see that on Tragedy. They’re both definitely 2 of my favorite albums but as of now i think Tragedy edges it out a little, but i’m sure that’ll change soon enough. I also like that the album is short because it’s not hard for someone to commit 27 minutes on an album and the sound doesn’t get old on that time because you’re not stuck listening to it for outrageous amounts of time. these are just my thoughts though
I thought the name rang a bell! I used to binge heavy on the Shadows EP by Majesty back when it was released! Good to see him doing well in the big leagues!
Kevo Gillespie Aaah, thanks so it's more like a "rideable" crash than, lol. That's a fat ass bell in that crash, but my AAX ones have massive bells too. That and the loud, long decay on it made me assume it was a ride. Do you know how they hold up? I have an A-custom China and its my favorite China I've ever heard, and I have a massive chunk missing out of my 18'inch Aax, and its crack around the bell :(. Sad day when you destroy a 250+ cymbal xD
ssblind73 - Kyle Brownlee Dude! Holy shit I thought that was you but u wasn't sure. Been subbed since your Dahlia video on the Window. Way to fucking go dude!!!!!
rumble131 I know it's dumb haha. I have to get the earplugs that reduce decibel limit and not cut frequencies since I need guitar cues and I haven't done it yet... whoops
Just not natural. Guy is absolutely fine but seems like he’s trying to play something that he can’t/isn’t comfortable with. Sounds like a really good cover.
the most impressive aspect, no click track.
I've peaked. my favorite drummer watched one of my videos. thank you for watching alex
Thanks man! It’s definitely the most stressful aspect for me haha
Alex Rodriguez also lets tour together it’d be fuckin sick
Kyle Brownlee would love to buddy! Safe travels

Man the video and sound quality is on point these days! Keep these coming!
That upwards camera movement at 2:17 was hot as FUCK.
Cayem ALWAYS do the best videos haha

This guy is a beast. I've gotta say though, his face is so calm 😂 I don't understand how cause when I'm drumming I make all sorts of weird faces lmao
Absolute monster!
the fact they aren't using click is actually way too impressive.
Jonathon LaVaccare Its actually insane
Hardly anything coming out of his monitors as well, mental!
@@markhickton4054 you sure hes not using in ears?
@@noahperkins2623 He doesn't have any hearing protection. He's gonna regret that later in life.
@@noahperkins2623 Yes - no monitor in his left ear and no cable running down his back for the right ear.
Definitely this is one of my top 3 counterparts songs
This guy is so fun to watch
Tight drummer.
1:22 and 1:35 give me chills every time I hear those parts.
Never really got into Counterparts, but this is fucking insane. Gave me a whole new appreciation for this band and their percussion.
that snare sound😍😍😍😍😍
used to watch this guys covers of counterparts now hes in the band fuck
dreams come true?
Hydrogen Carbonate who is he
Kyle Brownlee. This isn't his first stint in the band. He played on their American tour of The Current Will Carry Us. Kelly joined after that tour
eventually one day every hardcore musician in ontario will have been in counterparts
Whens my turn then haha
Yo just so happen to scroll across this group and I’m not disappointed, drummer is very simple but unique all in one
That's the #1 Rock Band drummer right there.
SO DAMN GOOD DUDE
You see... No need of a 100 pieces drum to be excellent !!!!👏👏👏👏
Anybody remember when this guy used to make Rock Band drumming videos? Lol
TheOnlyJayke please tell me he was the guy who always had it at the angle where you could only see his arms playing? And have the screen appear on the right side? If so I used to fucking love that guy and if this was him I’d be soooo so happy
he was SS_Blindzor
This is just awesome
Not gonna lie, I was kinda worried I wouldn't like the drumming on the new album with Kelly gone, but this dude fucking rips
Kraig Long where did he go??
William Hamill he was abusive to his significant other so they felt it was best to part ways with him because it’s not what the band is about

Best hardcore punk drummer on earth
Sounds and looks amazing. Keep it up!
Goddamn. One of the tightest drummers I’ve ever seen.
He is just awesome! Sounds so tight!!
""ssblind73: Counterparts - Bouquet FC!"" -- love seeing kyle kill it
I just feel like the camera movement at 0:42 deserves more credit
Wow great drumming brother!!!!👍👍👍👍
That's one "crashable" ass ride.
im pretty sure its an A custom 20" thin crash
BurnThePope fr haha first kelly and now this guy lol

Nice...he is good!
Hands to swift for the camera 🔥
I remember when he was making Rock Band FC vids on UA-cam. Meow!
i just realized this is bLiNdz0r from back in the YT rock band days. He's come a long way
Anybody know what drumheads he’s using?
I fw these new songs but I think it's difficult to outdo TWFU.
Sweet drummer, so tight :) love the snare drum also, what is it? X
Way late response, but he uses a Pearl Vinnie Paul signature snare. It’s BEEFY.
Yas
Anyone know what cymbals hes using here?
His not even using iem damn salute this guy
these drum cams could pass as drum playthroughs in terms of sound quality
Looks like he's about to ask for the mission report, December 16, 1991
beast
any ideas on what snare head he's usin? sounds killer
Andrew Cummins as far as I know he uses an Evans hybrid coated on his snare
0:41 holy shit i felt that
Top 1
What cymbal set up?
what hihat stand is that??
This drumkit sounds ridiculously awesome! what kit does he use anyways?
d4sher1 Bubinga Tama Starclassic drums with a Pearl Vinnie Paul Signature snare!
Thanks mate! hope there's more videos like this coming out in the future. looking forward to the new album! :D
What cymbal set up is that?
This guy makes it looks so smooth.
how was this already a year ago fuck
kelly or him? double best!
nice
60fps? Looks TIGHT.
Goddamn
Those hats are a big as my ride.
....not really but they're huge haha
Hurts to watch him play with no ear protection
It's called "hardcore" for a reason
@@KeepTheGates Being deaf is bad-ass
@@nicolascage5323 it's still loud. Ears ringing type of loud.
@@nicolascage5323 Before I got in-ears I used to play with 2 wedges. The ringing after a show was so loud I couldn't sleep.
This is literally connor denis' long lost brother
Oh of course
Is he even using in-ears?
I was wondering the same thing! I think he just has a speaker monitor right there beside him.
Ross D Nope, nothing at all
What a G
As far as I can see he's not wearing any ear protection either which if I'm correct is very stupid
rumble131 I know it's dumb haha. I have to get the earplugs that reduce decibel limit and not cut frequencies since I need guitar cues and I haven't done it yet... whoops
You HAVE to tell me what camera that is. It’s incredible
Holy shit even without metronome
if he's not wearing any ear protection, he's going deaf in 15 years
Steve Cohen No screw you
or 5 Dx
His face the whole time >😐. Hahah sick skills tho!
fucking nuts
🤨
uhhhh, kelly who
Feel bad for his ears
se vc é brasileiro, vc riu da tumblrnail kjkjkkkkkk
Brasileiro é um treco horrível mesmo
Solid playing but this guy is gonna go deaf early.
