I ordered a 8x8 premium layflat imagewrap hard cover photobook, I've make sure that everything in the preview was okay, I did turned on the enhancement brightening option and all the photos were placed perfectly, but I found out after I placed my order ( I didn't add on anything, the paper was on the general option) they helped me made a free e-book for my project, but the lighting, textures (I placed high quality paper texture images) on my photos were super different from what I checked in the editor's designing menu. This is my first time using Photobook Malaysia, the photobook hasn't arrived nor printed, so I'm wondering if there's a difference between the free e-book lighting or the printed photobook ?
It has to be said ur presentation and delivery of information regarding photo books is absolutely first class. So understandable and EXTREMELY insightful to the point I know exactly what I'm looking for. First class Sir! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Glad to hear I can add text on my photos with "Photobook" as I couldn't find a way to do this with photos on Windows 10.. Do you have a particular software you recommend to keep photo's on my Desktop? I did like the old Kodak software until it went away.. So I now use Windows 10 . I am a really old guy just starting on this medium to see my holiday pics so any/all help will be appreciated..
Photobook US has been awful to deal with. The do not deliver on time and have really bad customer service. They assemble the photobooks in Malaysia and ship via DHL. They offer expedited service of 5-7 days or super rush service of 3-5 days. I am in day 14 and my package is stuck in Hong Kong. They havent refunded my expedite and super rush fees on two of the projects I am working on. Also, remember to turn off brightening enhancement, it made most of the photos in my 150 hour project(s) washed out.
Regarding the quality, you need to contact them, I never had that issue, but it does happen and I'm sure they would reprint it. Regarding shipping, it's been a nightmare for everyone. I had the same issue with my own shop. Covid, customs delays and other issues make it impossible to guarantee and time frame, whichever shipping company you choose.
Thanks for this! But I just looked at the website and for the Flushmount, it says it's printed on E-photo matte paper. No other option in the description. What if I finish the whole layout and it doesn't give me the option for the cannon paper?

Hallo Photobook Guru :-) I have watched you videos for a long time and they are great :-) I used mixbook for a long time, but i am not really hapy with the printing. My photo's i know a really sharp because i got some of them in real photo are not that shart in mixbook. Still i do want the travel book look and not only photo's in the book. Now i am looking at this option and it is looking really good. How would you say the print is with Photobook America using canon printer vs mixbook print ? Just discovered your channel and what a help it has been! To better understand whats the right choice in choosing what photobook company to go with. Im in the process of making my first photobook and I love the editing tools of Photobook America but I have a question - Can the spine of the book be edited on a Lay Flat? I dont know if I’m doing something wrong, I fell in love with your newest Photobook America book with the High Gloss and i tried to edited the spine of it and nothing happen..

should i leave the photo enhancement always on? i found out on my first 3 photobook with photo enhancement ON, the photos looks fine. but I learned to turned it off after I bought a canvas on their website and the canvas colour was washed out. so on my last photobook I turned the enhancement OFF, for the first time, and they sent me terrible photobook its so hard to look at it they all are over saturated. it was JPG full resolution, 300dpi, sRGB 24bits. i just contacted them on the issue and I hope they will fix it cause I don't know what to do with it.
I wish I saw this video before my order. I just found out that they cannot print different language. I put some notes in Chinese that it does not work.

I have come across your videos and they are great. Thank you. I've made a number of books through Mixbook and currently looking for an option for a pet rescue project I am working on. I want to print around 60-100 books in the end and don't want anything with a logo on it. This seems to be the only option I have found. Every other book company prints their logo on the book. I like the idea od a lay flat but don't want such thick paper so will consider the first book with the canon paper.
I found the interface to not be user friendly. I used a blank book because I was doing a large family history book and needed all of the space that I could get. It took me months to do this- as opposed to a drug store album interface- which had many layout options, it automatically resized the picture (which I had to do for each and every one of my 1968 pictures in the Photobook) and it saved more regularly. Additionally, the reviews in America seem to be really poor. Am I missing something? They used to be on Groupon, so I got great prices, in addition to the Photobook All Access pass. Now, they have no Groupons, they changed their pass - in middle of my one year membership, to no longer include free shipping and I am up a creek without a paddle. Is your experience different because you use the pre-configured albums? Is it different in Europe? Are there any changes happening currently? Is there a way for me to move my current project to a different Photo site or am I stuck? I want to order 55 more books, but the price is 400% more than I paid.
Exactly and I havnt used them it looked overcomplex and rigid in designs I am not using them for a pro job that will net 15,000 USD phtobook annually for end users in production I use PHOTOBOX in london and get a colleague to ship to Bangkok simple effective with great results

Just a quick question - I am trying to choose the Canon High Lustre paper, after choosing flush mount (14''x11'') and all it allows me to choose is the 190gsm E-photo Matte for paper type. I am using the Photobook uk site is this why?
The Canon papers are not available for the flush mount albums unfortunately. You can make a lay flat book with flush mount binding and choose the Canon Paper.
I've been going back and forth with Photobook America and the 11" x 8.5" Medium Landscape Flush Mount photo book is the largest size you can get with the Canon 210gsm HD lustre paper. Weirdly, you cannot get canon paper or a presentation box with the flush mount albums.
I recently ordered a book from Bob Books to check out their silver halide printing. I haven't received it yet. How do the Canon DreamLabo prints compare to silver halide?
@@drathen1556 The results are stunning for both products. I personally prefer the high gloss of Bob Books. The colors and the blacks are very rich; however, the Photobook blacks have more detail and, therefore, look more realistic. My family (my primary audience) likes the Photobook better, so that is what I am going to go with. Sorry for the delay in replying. It’s been almost two years since I did a project, but I’m getting back into it again.
Hi Photobook Guru, thank you for your video, very informative. One question, what is the maximum number of pages for a 11 x 8.5" on perfect binding? I have a project on Photobook Canada with about 290 pages that took me ages to make it as it is about my adult kid's life. It's pretty much done and I need to make a final preview, unfortunately I cannot open it now. I've been trying to open it at different times, different browsers and different computers, it still doesn't open. Do you know what the problem is? Thank you very much.
I think it's 300 pages. Make sure you're on the page where you created the book. That is Photobook Canada, not Worldwide or America. Try updating what needs to be updated

I thought I would have the option and didn't. I got to checkout and it said "E-photo matte" with no option of changing it. Very disappointing.

Great informative video - the only thing missing that I would’ve like to know about is how many pages per book based on format and page type.
It's different for every combination depending on paper, format and binding, so you would need to check it for the combination that you choose

I don't think the editor allows the spine to be edited, but you can try.

I think you can copy paste layouts from one page to another, but you can't save favourites.

Very well, just as good. Silver Halide is perhaps a tiny bit softer.

with that size it should be, but the editor should give you warnings if quality is not adequate

Hello! What measurement of font was your hot stamping? I loved that measurement but on the site I only found a 36pt
I used the 14pt text and the ARGENTINA is 2.3" long and 0.25" wide
