good info on copper. I am glad you pointed out that bare bright wire is graded different in other countries. USA is one of them, has to be at least as thick as a pencil lead. When the refinery melts the fine wire a certain amount just burns up and is gone. That is the reason they give us.
@scrapitall200 getting back on track, James. Losing my brother took it's toll but having to do that and deal with being my mums executor after she died was just too much all at once. It meant I hadn't had time to really process any of it. Does feel like I'm coming out of the other side of it now, though. At least I can think about my own life again.
Mate if its pink don't touch it only cut the white which is aluminum oxide, and inside the boiler of that type is an asbestos rope avoide cutting them open. Nice to see you back at it brother. Once my bucket hits 500 I cash in otherwise I have to go back to work😅😅😅 having far to much fun for that malarkey. Stay safe brother
The mosfitts and transistors are nice. They have very little gold but i process them anyway. I mostly do gold recovery but you need copper for the stockpot. I use the copper i get from the transitors to put in my stockpot. Then i get the pure copper back when it gets to the waste bucket.. love me some copper.
@@ScrappingScotland worst part of aging to me is seeing my friends and family die off. My best friend growing up died two years back. Makes me wonder if I am getting close. Nobody can tell. I just keep on doing what I want to be doing. If I die tomorrow I did what I wanted to do. That's about all I can.
@richardhulbert9480 I hear you buddy. We never know what's coming. Never thought the last year would see me lose my mum and my brother. My mum had 5 sons and in the only one left. None of them died an old man.

@@richardhulbert9480 I'm sure it was your advice that I quoted about the little gold content Richard.
I processed over a kilo of them. My stannous showed barely any gold. But It held gold. I put that solution aside till I had more

@@Derbyhobbiescrapper thanks for watching buddy
Nice to see you back mate 👍
@mindofmetal thanks buddy. Needed a little holiday for sure. Went to Budapest but back and refreshed.
Great video mate , got to love all types of copper 😍😍
Thanks buddy. Hope you're doing well
Great tips
I opened a compressor from a 35 year old refrigerator and sadly it was mostly aluminum
@Kreacher1974 wow, that's really surprising. Would have 100% thought that would have been copper
Where are the best places to sell here in scotland ? just regular car scrapyards ?
@agenda697 depends where you are. Some scrap yards are better than others. Some are quite strict some aren't, some give better prices than others etc.
