I have to disagree with the claim that it is peaking progesterone levels which cause PMS symptoms. It's actually during progesterone's plummet to the bottom that the symptoms of PMS tend to appear (the week before menstruation, not two weeks before menstruation). If your luteal phase is unpleasant it's bc you don't have enough progesterone. Progesterone or the pro gestation hormone (promotes pregnancy) is a feel good, calming hormone. So if you feel anxious 😟 or depressed 😔 say the last week of your cycle consider supplementing with topical bioidentical progesterone for that week. And not progestins or synthetic progestogens.

Understanding the entire menstrual cycle helped me stop overthinking emotions I feel during certain phases. I know people have known about the PMS stuff but I couldn't understand it until I saw the entire cycle and what goes through the body during a certain phase.
@@southernbek9158 im so sorry. Unfortunately many women have to teach themselves about their own bodies. I was lucky enough to have slightly better curriculum in my school than yours , but still not enough to truly understand my body.
Its nice to see my sister raise her daughters differently though. She is very open about periods and talks about it with them even though they are still very little. Progress 💕
@@Madcattus right?? Its crazy how much it helps to know exactly where you are in your cycle. I started tracking it and eating specific foods during specifically phases and my energy levels greatly increased, but i also allowed myself the time to rest during my menstrual phase, which tampax commercials like to make us think we should be full of energy and playing extreme sports in white shorts 🤣
@cloudk1073 that's all we can do, right? It feels like it's becoming more normalized now instead of acting like it's gross. "Ew periods" like get over yourselves guys, we don't want to have to deal with it either but we're the ones cursed with it
Bless his heart. He sounds scared. That period anger and hunger is unreal 😭
I'm only scheduling dates when I'm in the follicular phase now
i hope he finds that special someone who wants to learn everything together
Love how this guy just authentically wants to know. It means she's grumpy from pms-ing and is feeling stressed by everything. Send her food from afar. Then show your face in about 10 days.
Oh and thanks Dr fir this PSA. It was needed
I was watching this and my period started in the middle of watching this video. He's a fucking wizard.
Being its been two weeks youve since ovulated and now back in the luteal phase.
@@brianfitch5469 ..... I'm gonna cry. I got reminded of this and now I know why I feel like this. Thanks but also I wanna punch a wall.❤❤
😂😂😂This guy is a comedian!! The deep swallowing & the shakiness in his voice😅😅😅
Progesterone really be turning me in a Steven King main character I’m not even kidding. She was very thoughtful on that one
Is she? Because if his a real one she gonna be with him at every phase. You can't just lock yourself up every 2 weeks that's insane. Soz but I can't believe girls think this is a good strategy. I always told my sister you need all of the phases of you to approve of him. Not just the ditsy flirty (aka ovulation)version of you.
Dude sounds like he's about cry.... bless his heart!
I love this... I'm literally not myself while menstruating I don't trust myself to make decisions like bring innocent strangers into my emotions bullshit even if I like them and they think they can handle me... I was born alone, I'll suffer alone, I'll die alone .
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a med student I was laughing so hard lol
she’s a keeper. Smart and aware. Don’t fuck this up boy.
Yeah as someone in her luteal phase currently, I can tell the switch in my mood, way happier in follicular phase😊
Seriously, I was just wondering why I was so exhausted for seemingly no reason today, and very sensitive and emotionally low. Then I looked at my tracker and saw that I was 5 days out from my period, and everything made sense 😅
Well but considering they luteal phase last up to 14 days this is how you gonna be for half of the most the for your partner.
Or maybe you are suggesting that you should only meet with your partner during follicular phase?😅
He is so gentle listening to this young man freaking out lmao
Bro, just give it a couple weeks and ask her out again. It's golden that she is self cognizant enough to recognize when she is most likely to be awful. Unfortunately that probably means that PMS gets pretty bad for her.
All girls get pms. It's rare when right before that time you don't feel a bit moody, anxious or depressed. It can happen, but usually, you can feel it.
Raspberry leaf tea helps
@@Elle44289this is true, but some women have very severe PMS or even PMDD.
Which means when the follicular hits, he gonna experience that scene of him getting dragged back into the bedroom by his ankles.
Idk if it means she has a bad pms, who doesn't want to put their best foot forward on a date/early in the relationship? Feeling kinda sick and depressed/anxious isn't feeling or presenting your best.
So proud of this new generation ❤
Awww bless his adorable heart.
I love the voice of the girl we dont see a lot in this short clip her voice can lead and back up its beautiful ❤
This is one of the funniest covert medical videos I've seen in a long time. 😂
This poor guy. What a total sweetheart. 😅.
Lol this kid wanted to go viral instead of googling the answer
There's a website literally called 'let me Google that for you' and you send that to the person. Great for cases like this :)
He's also very clearly playing up the confusion for the joke. It's okay. It's funny. You can laugh along if you want.
Just think of what you're saying. The only way he would think this could go viral is by KNOWING the actual answer.
This is just a funny joke, he knows what he's talking about.
@@shloka3915 yes, its a joke but such a bad one. Its this "women are Aliens, an i right, Guys?"😂
@@MZBS639 I don't know, I'm a woman and I didn't feel like that at all. It didn't make me laugh like crazy, of course, but it made me smile. But I was mostly answering about the thing in the comment saying that the guy didn't care to google the answer ^^. After that, finding the joke funny or not, it's just a question of taste...
I want to give this poor man a hug 😅 I hope they got together later and had a nice time
How I know I'm in this phase is because everything that anyone says to me grates on my nerves. The irrational anger is mind-boggling, luckily I'm old enough not to act on it anymore. She did him a favor.
God bless all with peace, love, health, safety, prosperity, and protection!
God bless his soul 😊 the way he's saying it is cracking me up 😂😂
Omg this explains my mood for the last two days.
I have to disagree with the claim that it is peaking progesterone levels which cause PMS symptoms. It's actually during progesterone's plummet to the bottom that the symptoms of PMS tend to appear (the week before menstruation, not two weeks before menstruation). Also, a common treatment to help ease severe PMS symptoms is topical progestin. I'm really not sure why this idea that PMS is caused by excess hornomes persists when it is the sudden _loss_ of said hormones that coincidences with PMS.
Because no one studies women.
Also the idea that she's being 'considerate of (insert male here)' is beyond laughable!
@@tiegrsidesignsandstudio4794 fuck!ng THIS!
I am currently in that phase and didn't have a name for it. Thank you!
She’s so real for that

This is so funny, 😂 What a funny thing for her to say . And it's super cute, but he cared about what that was about.
We need more indepth health classes
I get bad bad pms & am on the edge of having pmdd , that girl was being so sweet. She's a keeper. I get really pissy during the luteal phase & by God it's hard.
The compassionate nod Dr. Rubin was doing when he was talking about astrology 🤣
Im glad people are finally learning about this
Men should be taught this is health. Save them headaches in life.
I mean sure, for some people the luteal phase is PMS. But for at least 5% of menstruating people it is much, much worse. PMDD and endo for starters.
Definitely, it always made me extremely depressed and anxious and exhausted, that's why I've been on birth control for so much of my life
I commend that girl! She out here saving lives! He is a miracle walking 😂
Fertility cycles based on their monthly period cycle. Usually denoted by taking their temperature every morning the second they wake up and noting it. Basil body temperature.
OUR SCHOOLS SHOULD BE TEACHING THIS AS PART OF SEX ED!!!!
you guys don't learn it?
In Turkey we see it in biology class.
Can we just focus on trying to get actual sexual education into sex rather then skipping right into the "women have body phases like the moon"
@@MacabreAfterpartyIt's really important for a sex ed.
@@kyokosakura3192 No, learning about safe sex is really important to sex ed.
@@MacabreAfterparty not every girl have sex but almost every girl have a cycle. Girls needs to learn about their body first then learn about safe sex.
By the way safe sex isn't something so hard to learn.Just use condom. That's it. I don't understand why people make a big deal about it.
“Moaoaoaoaom… i threw up” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg im crying this is too funny. Its adorable funny. Like shes sweet for telling him she needs a better head space and actually still considers him despite that and him because he seems to gave left distraught and confused but respectful and seeking help 😂🤣
Women who have pmdd call the luteal phase hell week. We are literally different people for that week. She doesn't want to go on a date with you because you'd be meeting psycho Betty instead of nice Sarah.
Not all women are like this. Also does that mean he can't day her at all? Because it will happen every month.
I had 4 miscarriages years ago. It turned out to be a luteal phase defect. I had to take extra progesterone 2 weeks out of the month for many months to make sure the uterine lining became thick enough to sustain an embryo. Science is important. Good job young lady in knowing your biology.
Awww, sweet baby boy 😭
Damn, it’s like she punched his soul. Give this man a hug.
He's a keeper. Poor boy was so confused and she was being so nice. She didn't say no as well. Just said please wait till my pms is gone.
What a great guy.....and a great girl, for letting him know it's not an issue with him, it's an issue with her...temporarily.
I hope the dude sees this. I of course only have one clip’s worth of an impression of how he is as a person but he seems a decent sort at first glance.
He seems quite dense and a bit dishonest, But there are enough dense and dishonest Girls to match him. Good luck to all

@@kyokosakura3192 that too
Thanks for this! I am a woman and learned something new!

Always find myself attracted to people I'd never normally like or "keep around" in this phase. So I'd be wasting his time to be honest.
Living according to my menstrual cycle *helped* save my relationship.
We used to fight every time I ovulated.
But now I don't take my anger too seriously during that phase and let it pass first.
You kind of sound like Charlie from Smiling Friends in a good way
I was literally thinking the same exact thing
If your luteal phase is unpleasant it's bc you don't have enough progesterone. Progesterone or the pro gestation hormone (promotes pregnancy) is a feel good, calming hormone. So if you feel anxious 😟 or depressed 😔 say the last week of your cycle consider supplementing with topical bioidentical progesterone for that week. And not progestins or synthetic progestogens.
This young man is lovely ! Hope he got the date!
This man is a national treasure
They really should teach us more about the menstrual cycle in school
They teach this in health, but people are probably too busy giggling about pms, periods, and vaginas to pay attention lol
@@eringill6697Not every school is the same.

I really wish theyd teach that kinda stuff in school again. It REALLY is needed. If we knew more about eachothers bodies, we'd be more appreciated all around and wouldnt have miscommunication like this poor guy had.❤
How is this considerate? She just basically said she is a psycho because of the period.
I love how defeated he looks. The quivering voice makes it even better🤌🏻
it kind of surprised me that some people feel bad during their luteal phase because that's like two weeks! so it's basically the most "normal" it gets... like girl are you okay?
Look into conditions like PCOS and endometriosis. They cause significant pain and aren't uncommon. I think a study showed nearly 30% of women within the US have pcos, so it's rational that issues would be common to hear.
I thought most women felt horrible most of the time until I was pregnant.
for me i don’t get physical pain while in my luteal phase until just a few days before i start menstruating, but im not myself in the head. i get irritated extremely fast and my patience for anything is at a zero. i also feel like my judgment for my actions and words are gone/i have no control over them so i can be really vengeful and crass towards the people i love. i don’t like to use “im in this phase” to excuse my actions but im always upfront with where i am in my cycle and apologize beforehand if i seem like a more hostile version of myself
@@healinggrounds19 what do you mean? did you feel better when you were pregnant?
@@astermorgue is it really for the whole phase? that sounds so annoying and hard to deal with. i only have that right before and during my period.
When your lower back is hurting, you have a splitting headache and everything pisses you off, it's probably not the best time to go out if you want to keep your head on your shoulders.
This is sweet in a weird way. Her for being considerate and saying, "i want to meet you when I'm not gonna be PMSing," him for being so curious to ask.
