He obviously does not. They tuned down the intruments and even changed the melodies of many verses. Because Joey is not capable anymore of singling like 30 years ago. And that's ok. But please stop talking such nonsense and train your hearing.
Holy shit his vocals are amazing. Seems like he has taken care of his voice well during the pandemic and rested it. Happy for him and excited to see them in Stockholm in june 😍
Europe should have been the headliner. Simply the best performers, the songs are more anthemic and rocking than those AOR love songs played by other two bands. And especially, they're still playing with the same classic members as the band who played in The Final Countdown album in 1986. The exact same 5 persons!
@Dermot BYRNE Or maybe because EUROPE was younger? Foreigner and Whitesnake are their big brothers actually, coming out in 70's while they 1st got recognized by whole world in 1986. Seniority. But one anomaly, Whitesnake opened for Def Leppard in UK Tour several years ago

They were supposed to in 2020. The tour was booked, tickets were sold. It was an United States outdoor Amphitheater tour that was to take place summer 2020. Europe as openers, Whitesnake in the middle and Foreigner headlining.
They were great, absolutely, Joey Tempest super engaging and so on, but there's something could have been delivered better: Kee Marcello's solos. I mean, Superstitious, that solo is a classic, should be played note by note and whar John is doing? Playing the first part flawlessly and messing up tbe climactic part 😭 Whyyy? Don't think its a matter of chops.. Same goes for Ready Or Not. His own solos were absolutely perfect lol

@David Sim Music definitely! John is not very the kind of shreddy guy, 3 notes per strings, etc.. but, dont get me wrong, I like John as in terms of musical taste is excellent! For example, TFC solo is super iconic and the choice of notes of the pentatonic part is amazing \m/
Though I love John and feel bad of the personal tragedy of losing his first wife, I miss Kee Marcello and the solos for the Out of this World songs ("Ready or Not" and "Superstitious") are just not the same. I actually prefer Kee over John cause he's more melodic, but that's just me. In any case, these guys still got it. \m/
yep, totally, both "expecting worst" and "guy can sing"! and from experience (e.g. Deep Purple) I can tell it probably sounds A LOT better on location than in the video. great band, and they have a lot of great songs! :-)
Didnt get to see them at Newcastle.....they opened the doors 45 mins before they came on and still 1.5k people waiting to get in....rather alot of pissed of fans... cheers for vid
