Always love seeing first timers play ultrakill, hate the back seaters who teach you all the tech on the first play through though.
Glad you enjoyed, but eh its aight they're helping
I mean, the tech is essential, would have played the entire game without knowing Shotgun parry or Rail coining if i didn't search for it.
It's also very helpful for later areas and bosses.
But don’t tell people the tech for them, give a hint like “any hitscan weapon can hit coins” or literally anything the terminals later in the game tell you (like what I just used) don’t outright tell the person “you can parry your own bullets”
@@TheRoosterManWastaken I don't think everything should be said, like certain stuff from later weapons, but tech that isn't on the Terminal like slam storage or b hoping.
And hitscan is kinda vague, if you don't know much about the game you won't know what a hitscan is or what weapons are, or other stuff i won't say to not spoil to much.

Quick tip with the marksman. Try keep steady between throwing and shooting the coin, it helps a lot
Also, if you time the shot correctly (when the coin flashes), the shot splits into two. (Only works on (normal) Revolver shots.)

Quick bit of advice, you can actually parry with a point blank shotgun blast against most attacks. For example, the explosive beam that the Malicious Face shot.
Best advice that can be givin for Ultrakill is to have as much fun as you can, dosent matter if you use any meta strats or op weapons just do whatever u want for maximum dopamine overdose

The cybergrind can spoil you on enemies that haven’t showed up yet so keep that in mind.
Yo, you can parry malicious face lazer atack with marksman coins :D just throw coins and stay on play, and if marice (malicious face) hits coin woth lazer beam, it will rickoshet back into him also it gives you ultraricoshet bonus
MICAH KILLS FUNNY DEMON MEN WITH NOTHING BUT A GOLDEN COIN
Well, good luck with ultrakill. Its one of my favorite games, so here are some *tips* and fun facts (in no specific order, its just a few things I would have liked to know before starting out):
There are 5 weapons in ultrakill, each with 3 variants. Blue is the basic, and green and red are the purchasable ones. The Red ones are still under development so only the revolver and [Spoliers] has it.
If you buy both shotguns, you can quickswitch between them to avoid the cooldown animation.
You can i-frame the green shotguns overcharge.
If you parry, all your health regenerates instantly (except hard damage)
Hard damage is the gray part of your health bar. Its there so players don't just tank all the damage without conciquiences, if you take way too much damage, in a short period of time (multiple hundreds) Then hard damage will start to build up, you gotta wait for it go away. But, actually, the higher your style is at the right, the lower amount of hard damage you take. When you have the ULTRAKILL style rank, hard damage just straight up doesn't exitst.
Your style meter goes up with big amount of kills, and style-ish actions, like coins.
The shotgun has a special ability that the game doesn't tell you about directly, if you don't read the whole ass manual.
It was originally a bug, but Hakita (the guy who made the game) decided to keep it as a mechanic. You can... punch... you can parry.... your own... shotgunshells. And if you combine it with the shotgun quickswitch you will turn into a 50 caliber anti air machine gun.
There are 3 types of parries. One is projectile, there are two kinds, green and red, red is straightfoward, and green is homing. There is also the yellow flash, the yellow flash means you can parry it. To train it, fight swordmachine. And the 3rd type is the blue flash, the blue flash is unparriable, except for one single late game enemy. In Act 3. So for now, don't worry about it, just run or dash.
There are secret missions that you can find. There is one secret mission on every layer, I'm not gonna spoil it, but the way to find the secret mission in limbo is straight up bullshit, but except that one, please don't look up anything else, everything else is really fun to find. And all of the secret missions are unique new challanges.
The ranking system basically averages the ranks in the 3 categories, and then subtracts some of your score based on the amount of restarts (deaths). If you get an S rank in all 3 categories, and you don't die, you will get a P rank. It stands for Perfect (that's actually a lie, it stands for penis)
After you complete the game, its not over yet, there are 3 end game levels (the 3rd isn't out yet). You can unlock them by P-ranking a whole act, these levels are called the P levels. For the first one, you need to P-rank Prelude and Act 1, and for the second, you need to beat P-1 and P rank Act 2. P2 is fucking insane tho (I P ranked P2 btw, it took 2 weeks lol).
*About the lore of ultrakill,* just to touch it briefly:
[Just a disclamer, this is my understanding of the lore, and there might be a few inaccuracies, the story hasn't finished yet, and Hakita is pretty secretive about the lore outside of ingame terminal logs and books] [Also, you might think these are spoliers, but the game doesn't explain shit anyway, so... yeah. Read it if you want to]
Basically in the ultrakill universe, there was no end to ww1, and the world was much more advanced by the time it started. After a while they realised soldiers were inefficient, so they started to use machines powered by fresh blood. (In the ultrakill universe blood is much more than just a fluid, it powers life itself)
By the end of the war, the earth was ash, and people began to live on cities build on large machines called [REDACTED]. So, they created you. V1, to use your incredible speed, and regenerating (blood absorbant) armor. To be able to infiltrate the enemy moving cities. But, the war ended, after the [REDACTED]. Peace was finally achieved, they created later an alternative version of V1 called V2, but it was more a failiure, they didn't needed either version. But, the Earth was a wasteland, and to look for resources, humanity started to dig. And what they found was hell itself.
In hell there are 3 kinds of creatures, dead humans also known as husks, the bigger and smarter the husk the bigger the life of that person was. The flith is the lowest form, doesn't even deserve hands... (your average office worker). There is also Demons, these are the creatures of hell. They are flesh on the inside, and stone on the outside. And there are angels, rare to see them in hell, but you might meet one. The low ranking angels who just barely got into heaven are in the form of abstact shapes, like a ball. And higher angels are in more humanoid forms.
Well, they tried to mine the resources of hell, but what they didn't realise, is that hell isn't just place.
Its an Organism greater than God itself. [Fun fact: God is dead.]
After the [REDACTED], humanity has died. And all that remained is machines... machines that wanted blood... But, all of humanity has died... and where do dead people go? Hell.
*Mankind is dead.*
*Blood is fuel.*
*Hell is full.*

Both Doom and Ultrakill are god tier fps games, V1 is the Unstoppable Force and Doomguy is the Immovable Object
Ultrakill would not exist without Doom. It's an obvious inspiration and a classic, there's no problem with the comparison.
@@BigBait12 while yes, I agree with both being good games and one taking inspiration from the other, that doesn't always mean that comparing them is logical. As Doom is a shooter game built around satisfying a power fantasy, ultrakill is a movement shooter based heavily around skill. don't get me wrong, that does not mean that doom is bad, it just means that they shouldn't really be compared all that much (damn this reply is long. TLDR: They're both good games but they are fundamentally different. uhhh, bing bong)

Legit, this is one of the few games with better movement than titanfall 2
The movement in this game is completely whack but that's why I love it
Quick info, as you noticed, you can parry projectiles, and shotgun bullets actually also count as projectiles
Which means if you punch in correct time while shooting shotgun, you make your shots way stronger
(It creates explosion tho, so don't accidentaly kill yourself)
