I don't think I'll ever understand why so many female players favor the push shot over the pull shot.

Well, that push shot is one of the reasons she is ranked among the top in the world…. So maybe that’s why. Everyone has their own style, female or male.

@@emilietomlinson6086 I get that emilie. But that doesn't address my question at all. The fact is, the movement you have to take to do a push is slower than that of a pull shot. That is why the pull shot was the most common shot, until the snake shot came along. So my question still stands.

Is this a thing in the US? Here in Europe I do not know of any player using the push shot 🙈

@@maximiliangalein9373 I certainly wouldn't call it a thing. It isn't that common of a shot by most pros. And the ones that do shoot a push shot, typically have other shots they will use instead. Tony Spredeman actually has a very good push shot that he will occasionally bust out. But as I stated originally, the vast majority of people who do a push shot as their main shot, are female.

A push shot? I played this game back in the 70's. The only shot more unusual than a push shot, at least back then, was the closed handed pull kick.
