Caste system in Sikhs All 10 gurus were khatri (Bedi subcaste? ) & ALL married Bedi khatri wives. If the caste didn't matter in sikhi, then gurus would have at least married one non-khatri or nominated at least one non-khatri as guru. It didn't happen. Besides there is a local census record of punjab in 1780 when there were only 7 Girls in 25 villages of punjab-all Bedi khatri sikh and Punjabi girls having been victim of infanticide because khatri thought of themselves a superior caste hence problem in finding suitable boy for marriage for the girl with same status . It is true that Punjabi even Punjabi Brahmans were considered as lower status than Brahmans of rest of India. Hence khatri was highest status caste in punjab though much inferior to Brahmans or Rajput's of the rest of India . Even in Mahabharata the warrior king Karn talks disparagingly of salve, kakeye and madra Pradesh (all in today's Pakistani Punjabi) and low morale of their women and unsure rituals of their worship .

As a Punjabi myself, I can tell you that Punjabi singers are always under public pressure. Every single move of them is questioned and criticised by Punjabi media and public on social media. If they didn’t participate or supported the farmers protest in someway their bravery and loyalty to Punjab would have been questioned all their life. There are very minimal actual Khalistani supporters in Punjab. Most people look for opportunities to gain something out of these events. A lot of young people just want to show off how brave they are which was evident from the videos and reels they made during the protests. Some aged people in the protests were the ones who were not respected in their homes but they were getting everything at the protest. Also, Punjabis are very emotional and can get carried away with these things. I would urge you to not label them Khalistanis as this just sets a wrong precedent and will only push Punjabi Sikhs away. Labelling Daljit or anyone else who doesn’t openly support Khalistan is just stupidity. By doing that you are just giving more ammunition to Khalistani organisations.

As far as I know about Punjabi Music Industry, majority of the artists silently support these narratives so that their families can live safely because majority of them live either in Punjab or North America and in both of these places Khalistanis have major influence. I think it is very important to not generalize any Indian community because of celebrities. In fact, it is more important for us to not idiolize any celebrity, they are not our role models. What kind of problems they might be dealing with should not impact our lives because in the end that is what they have chosen to do, we should be focusing on what we can do to improve our lives by drawing inspiration from people around us. Caste system in Sikhs
All 10 gurus were khatri (Bedi subcaste? ) & ALL married Bedi khatri wives. If the caste didn't matter in sikhi, then gurus would have at least married one non-khatri or nominated at least one non-khatri as guru. It didn't happen.
Besides there is a local census record of punjab in 1780 when there were only 7 Girls in 25 villages of punjab-all Bedi khatri sikh and Punjabi girls having been victim of infanticide because khatri thought of themselves a superior caste hence problem in finding suitable boy for marriage for the girl with same status .
It is true that Punjabi even Punjabi Brahmans were considered as lower status than Brahmans of rest of India. Hence khatri was highest status caste in punjab though much inferior to Brahmans or Rajput's of the rest of India .
Even in Mahabharata the warrior king Karn talks disparagingly of salve, kakeye and madra Pradesh (all in today's Pakistani Punjabi) and low morale of their women and unsure rituals of their worship .

In one of the fun question answer game Kapil asked, why does Diljit chage is his contact number frequently is it because of girls.

As a Punjabi myself, I can tell you that Punjabi singers are always under public pressure. Every single move of them is questioned and criticised by Punjabi media and public on social media. If they didn’t participate or supported the farmers protest in someway their bravery and loyalty to Punjab would have been questioned all their life. There are very minimal actual Khalistani supporters in Punjab. Most people look for opportunities to gain something out of these events. A lot of young people just want to show off how brave they are which was evident from the videos and reels they made during the protests. Some aged people in the protests were the ones who were not respected in their homes but they were getting everything at the protest. Also, Punjabis are very emotional and can get carried away with these things. I would urge you to not label them Khalistanis as this just sets a wrong precedent and will only push Punjabi Sikhs away. Labelling Daljit or anyone else who doesn’t openly support Khalistan is just stupidity. By doing that you are just giving more ammunition to Khalistani organisations.
