      I've definitely heard more monster basses from a range aspect but his ability to jump all over and not drop pitch is what floors me the most. Especially with that like 9th interval drop at the end of the tag. Just gorgoeous.

    This is an absolutely stunning performance and piece of music. Daniel’s lead voice will no doubt be transcendent in this art form when we look back many years from now. What a special brotherhood and connection from Dan, Will and Paul in backing whatever message Daniel is giving. Truly special ❤️

      And great mic work. It was his solo but was so well balanced with the rest of the group to keep that dom 7 sounding just like it needs to. Great at sticking out and blending at the same time.

    Wow! You guys just continue to impress! Every time I see the song name I think "I don't think that's going to make a good barbershop arrangement" and every time I am dead wrong! Your arrangements and the way you perform them breathes new life into these songs. Daniel, you sing with such raw emotion and this is what I love about Signature's performances. The epitome of a great barbershop performance! Gold well deserved!

    Brillante ejecución chicos. El arreglo de Theo es extraordinario, pero la sensibilidad que imprimen en su ejecución, lo vuelve sublime y trascendente.

    I have watched almost every performance of all of these different quartets on UA-cam. Many of them were absolutely amazing, Main Street makes me cheer, Newfangled Four makes me laugh, Forefront and Ringmasters give me chills, Instant Classic and Vocal Spectrum are two of the absolute best. But these guys? This song and this arrangement? It started good, and got better, and then at 3:24 when they sang “I don’t wanna hurt anymore”, that last chord cut off on “Anymore”, was so. Clean. Perfect. I listened to it over and over and over again, and it succeeded in one thing that no other quartet did for me. It made me actually speechless. It sounded so pleasing to the ear and I just kept backing up and listening again. Signature is such an underrated group and they need more attention

  • @gregstickler3798
    @gregstickler3798 5 років тому +10

    I’m sorry this is just my opinion
    But I have never enjoyed this quartet
    They do nothing for me
    I have never enjoyed the songs they choose
    I wouldn’t even have them in the top five
    I think the nff runs rings around them
    But what would I know they won gold

    • @squeezemyparticiple
      @squeezemyparticiple 5 років тому +7

      Do you dislike them simply because of the charts they choose?

    • @gregstickler3798
      @gregstickler3798 5 років тому +4

      squeezemyparticiple I don’t think their blend is any better then nff the lead sounds more like he should be a baritone
      It’s just when I compare nff to signature one wins gold and one comes sixth
      When I take each part I don’t see five positions of difference
      I can’t help thinking that judges don’t like comedy
      Look how long it took main st to win
      When I first heard nff I thought this quartet are a gold medal quartet in the making
      If someone could tell me just how the judges actually judge
      I know they break it down into four categories
      But I can’t help think bias comes into it as well

    • @mackindle12345
      @mackindle12345 5 років тому +22

      @@gregstickler3798 they only use 3 categories - Music, Performance, and Singing; when NFF do blend I agree its INCREDIBLE and they can sound as good as anyone, but I'd argue Signature do it more of the time. Signature's sound is very different to NFF purely because their lead and bass's timbres are quite mellow just by the nature of their voices, where as Jackson is a genuine light tenor, so of course there's gonna be a marked difference in how they sound. For me personally, I think NFF spend *slightly* too much energy on making their performances hilarious (which they are) and not enough on making *all* of what they sing sound amazing, rather than *most* of it which, for me, they do (just my thoughts anyway - I love both quartets!)

      @@gregstickler3798 I mean I can agree with some of your points but the nff don't ever blend for me as groups like this so where I hear the overtones through their mics. Not to mention their bass hits a low A maybe a B. I can't hit it regardless so I'm impressed. What part do you sing? I'll tailor why I agree they're better than nff to your part if neccessary, not that I'm that big a fan of either but I definitely can see why this group is better than nff at least how the judges judge. Also how old are you if you think it matters? I'll be 32 tomorrow. Which plays little more to nostalgia as opposed to humor! I agree with you.
