This is a awesome device and inexpensive too. It's more powerful than I thought it would be. It has a wi fi booster attached to the HDMI cable and let me tell you it's very snappy. I love it.

I had the Roku premiere before I upgraded to the streaming stick that was also a pretty good device for the price. I have TCL TV'S with Roku OS as well. I have a firestick too but I prefer my Roku. .
An absolutely insane amount of options that are mostly frivolous. I cant imagine why we need so many options available for things like wallpaper, and other basically nonfunctional options. I can remember watching tv without even a remote control
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I bought a little bit different of one but it works the same as this one. Mine sits on the front or back of tv. I had a Roku tv in the bedroom but i accidentally broke the screen. I had my grandmother's tv from 2013 in storage. I just bought a streaming stick for it instead of buying a brand new tv. It works the same.
@@trr5291 When I travel I bring the streaming stick so I can watch what I want on the big screen without having to log into a hotel's smart tv. Its great.
Thanks! Good info. I wish Roku, somehow, would let us configure the streaming services on the remote. I don't use any of the ones on this remote or my previous 4K remote. I wish Prime Video was still a choice - it was on the first Roku that I purchased several years ago. Also, since I don't have unlimited data, and most hotels do not have free WiFi, I can't use it when I travel. :( Otherwise, a great product, based on my previous purchases. I will probably purchasedthis updated Roku 4K. This review really helped. Would prefer WiFi 6, but I don't guess it will be that much different from WiFi 5 based on my usage.
Sadly those button placements go to who every pays the most for them. As for WiFi 6, we might see it in the future some time but right now it would bring up the price of the Roku too much so it will be a little longer before we see it.
You can always trying just putting in random numbers. They do make it a pain to create an account without one. There are also the options of something like a digital credit card service. Where it is not a real credit card but will make a service think it is one. I have used them when signing up for free streaming service trials.
Yes, Apple TV is a type of streaming box just like this one is. I like Roku more only because I do not have other Apple products and the interface on the Roku to me is simpler.
Roku stick 4K is absolutely not worth the trouble. I constantly no matter what brand new batteries I put in the remote will cause the constant stop of selecting anything for it to evaluate the batteries. You cannot turn off the battery icon on screen and when it checks the batteries, it stops all selections so you have to wait till roku is done evaluating the batteries. I can tell you this I have beaten that remote and thrown it on ground after roku doing constant checks and the remote doesn't break, for that I give 10 stars for the toughness of the remore. 4k Roku stick is not worth buying when you can buy Amazon stick that doesn't freeze selecting/stopping/playing movies so that it can evaluate the stupid batteries. Horrible daily experience every hour so bought Amazon stick and no more bs.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews I didn't think about that. I am afraid to buy another remote and it still happens though. Do you know if there is something in remote that can be cut or blocked off to stop sending the signal?
@@bluecat7574 I am not aware of anything like that. All I can say is most places do have good return policies, so if you need to you could always return a new remote if it is still giving you issues.

Roku has been my go to streaming device for years. Love the streaming stick because they are so simple to bring with me when I travel.

I've tested a lot of streaming devices for my channel but the Roku is the one that I keep coming back to and the one that I recommend always.

The Roku streaming stick works just like my Roku smart TV. I put it on a 10 year old TV. Now it has all the options my 2022 Roku smart tv has.
Yup, and can be placed in any TV with an HDMI port. Great way to make any TV smart.

Yes you are not limited to the cable that comes with the Roku. It is just nice that it is provided.

Sound more like a issue with the remote then the Roku stick itself. Might have gotten a bad remote.
