The one-of-a-kind book takes us deep into the archives to show rare photographs, illustrations, maps, and other items that help tell the story behind how Disney theme parks are designed. A large portion of the book is dedicated to the discovery of how we evovled from small community fairs to world's fairs to amusment parks to world-class theme parks, like Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, and EPCOT. This book was a big deal back then (to me). Probably one of my earliest Amazon purchases, but like you said, just gorgeous, full color art and photos of the theme parks, which you didn’t get much back then. This felt like a companion to that other Disney Architecture book, that was more a focus on all of Eisner’s favorites (Gehry, Stern, Graves).
