The one-of-a-kind book takes us deep into the archives to show rare photographs, illustrations, maps, and other items that help tell the story behind how Disney theme parks are designed. A large portion of the book is dedicated to the discovery of how we evovled from small community fairs to world's fairs to amusment parks to world-class theme parks, like Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, and EPCOT. The authors also delve into how Disney developed its design pantheon and created a rulebook that Imagineers and other theme park designers still follow today.

I had this one on my ebay watch list for a while before I could get it for a decent price last year. Great book. Keep the videos coming!

This book was a big deal back then (to me). Probably one of my earliest Amazon purchases, but like you said, just gorgeous, full color art and photos of the theme parks, which you didn’t get much back then. This felt like a companion to that other Disney Architecture book, that was more a focus on all of Eisner’s favorites (Gehry, Stern, Graves).
