Can you please explain why the Trioxin rules established in the first two movies were changed for Part III with no on screen explanation? Is it a case that the military was using a modified form of Trioxin specifically for use as bioweapons, rather than the original 2-4-5 Trioxin as was the case with Trioxin 5 from Parts IV and V?
In fact, Julie's full zombie makeup required 100 different pieces, which originally took 9 hours but was eventually reduced to 6, not including glamour make-up.
Oh and BTW, for trivia's sake this was directed by Brian Yuzna. He's the guy who directed Bride of Reanimator, he also produced the original Reanimator and From Beyond
It’s funny, I love Re-Animator, and I used to watch this all the time back in middle school when it’d play on Cinemax, and I never thought about it...but I was listening to, I think it was Tarantino’s podcast, (could’ve been Eli Roth’s Horror movie podcast with Tarantino, but I’m pretty sure it was one of the Video Archives ones) and Tarantino gets on the subject of this movie and Brian Yuzna, and he bring up how this movie is basically a Re-Animator movie. Like it’s easy to imagine this starting as a Re-Animator movie.
River Man really makes me think of Morgan from The Walking Dead after he lost his son and was living alone in a town that he was obsessed with clearing of walkers.
OMG I had never seen that poster since I was a kid at the rental place ...I had a crush on that girl everytime I walked in, couldn't take my eyes off it. 😂😂😂 That brought back memories man.... I've never seen the movie though
No, First movie, simple bites did not bring infect people, their a fan theory that each barrel of slightly different based on the host zombie inside the barrel.
You are now finished with the Return of the Living Dead Films, this was the last one made worth watching (imo)! I rank them 1, 3, 2! The best effect was the zombie skull sloughing off the skin on its head! I am so glad you both enjoyed it and congratz on your new "pet dog"! : )
The zombie at the beginning was an actual homeless guy they saw on the street and hired as the zombie because of his appearance. Apparently he made all kinds of demands including expensive hotel stays and a limo to drive him to the set and i'm still not sure how the exoskeleton idea was even intended to work. I mean what do you do to get control of the zombies? sneak up behind them and pull that lever? That doesn't seem like a very good idea or very practical. It also doesn't do anything to help you control the zombies that would inevitably be created as a result of using these things as a weapon. At least the projectile idea makes sense even if it clearly needs some work
The Bio Filter was Turned On. Meaning that it's going to Filter the Bio stuff. meaning that the zombie smoke would *not* spread. He was doing the honorable/right thing making sure that the Bio stuff is contained.
This one is my favorite. I saw it when I was 15 and it definitely had an effect on me. I credit this movie as one of the reasons why I got into goth girls. But to me this is a beautiful love story. Julie tries everything to avoid eating the man she loves but eventually falls victim to her own needs and tries to eat him
Love this return of the living dead sequel the ending still hits me hard even to this day. I remember seeing this on the Sci Fi channel as a kid. Thanks for bringing this back to my attention.
Seeing the special effects again just made me notice how similar some of the prosthetics and puppetry looks to army of darkness. I wonder if there was anyone on this crew who was part of its production.
Great reaction. This was an interesting expansion of the RTLD franchise. Basically, they took the original 'Trash' character and followed her transformation process in more detail. Clever idea.
YES!!!!! The horror convention I often here, I kept putting a request to have Melinda Clarke. One year they finally did at two locations; I went to both. I got Melinda to sign an original painting of "Julie' an she took a pic with it. Awesome times of my life.
Best in The franchise in my opinion. Romeo and Juliet - Zombie Edition and the Theme song and End Credits are 10/10. Juliet was my first crush back in school, and she still blows my mind beyond words.
Personally my favourite of the Living Dead series. Mainly because I saw clips of it at a young age and it always stuck with me. The tone is more gothic horror/romance and not silly jokes (I do like the previous two though). Definitely got Romeo and Juliet vibes from it (which may explain the character being called Julie). Great reaction guys, as always. Side note: Not really important. But I believe he wasn’t turning the bio-filter off - he was turning it on. At least, that was the impression I got from the movie.
I loved this movie cause of Melinda Clark's character!!!!! Makeup is alotta work and contour loved her in siren song also!!!!!! As the demon!!!!! In charmed!!!!!!
Greetings from one of your UK viewers Mr & Mrs Movies. I have been watching your channel for about 6 months and i thought you would never watch Part 3, given how silly it gets lol Well done lol
Mindy Clarke really had to run the gauntlet with something like ninety prosthetics, head to toe. Having to put those on and take them off for days or weeks at a time can get...unpleasant.
I declare that chivalry is indeed alive and well! (.. at least it is as far as our boy Kurt is concerned) Absolutely, the power of love is a curious thing (just as the song says; don't let anyone try to tell you different) and you know its true love just by how willing/blasé this dude is to allow the world around him to die a horrible twitching death just so that he can get his (and in doing so got about as close you can get to necrophilia without actually committing necrophilia: Julie was one of LIVING dead after all; I personally would really like to see how that would hold up in a court of low.) One thing that doesn't hold up is the military's game plan of outfitting these deceased units for combat. Even if you manage to loosen them upon you enemy (hopefully having them pointed in the right direction) what exactly is stopping them from making an abrupt about-face and come after you? Call me crazy but they don't seem the sort that are all that inclined to follow one's orders. But the real kicker is what's to come after: a clean-up crew is sent in with a big unwieldy freezing gun (which carries the fatal flaw of having a time-delayed charge) which they then have to carefully aim and shoot into each and every one of the undead soldiers' heads before packing them up and sending them on home () Far be it from me to to tell others how to do their jobs but damn! As condemnatory as this whole spiel may sound I actually have a whole lot of love for this move (I always have) even back when I saw it for the first time in its neutered R-rated cut. In fact, if I were to do a top ten 90's horror films list which I cant say I ever will as I never really bother with the whole business of ranking movies (frankly, its too much like choosing who's you're favorite amongst your kids) but if I were to make one this would definitely be on it! Right there along with Night of the Demons 2 (another Steve Johnson headed special-effects extravaganza!)
Return of the living dead 3 was my favorite out of them all but I wish there was a secret part because those two deserved each other in a part two of some kind
Now now... 4 & 5 aren't horrible... just their own thing. I actually applaud them for bringing back the fun element after the seriousness of 3. Definitely give them a go, as the bad parts are bad enough to be funny and the good parts are actually fun. The fact that they're a duology with carry over characters is kind of fun.
Wasn't sure if you were gonna watch this one but I'm glad you are! This is the last real movie in the franchise, the rest are just quick cash grabs! So no need to do those 🙏🏻

Never liked they changed how the zombies work in this version. They act mindless like Romero Zombies and the bite infects them the same. The best part is Melinda Clarke as Julie. In fact, Julie's full zombie makeup required 100 different pieces, which originally took 9 hours but was eventually reduced to 6, not including glamour make-up.
Colonel Sinclaire played by Sarah Douglas, who was also Ursa in Superman 2 and Queen Taramis in Conan the Destroyer.
I thought she looked familiar.
Melinda Clarke looks so iconic in this movie, definitely my favorite female zombie of all time
She also played a hot Madam in Firefly!
She’s definitely on par with Tarman as one of the coolest zombies ever.
@@shallendor Beat me to it! It drove me crazy seeing that episode and trying to figure out where I knew her from!

What a fun couple, and great reaction.
FX artists Christopher Nelson and Wayne Toth from the Blumhouse Halloween Trilogy done the FX on this and those Halloween movies.

That brought back memories man....
I've never seen the movie though
...and many years later she was Julie Cooper (The O.C.)...and before that she tried to kill Spawn.
13:12 - "This is the first change from a bite in the franchise, right?" - Presumably bites are how Trash became a zombie in the first film.
I mean, trash was soaked in trioxin rain, and was in a large puddle of trioxin rain when attacked...pretty sure she got the T.
She said the trio in rain burned her skin so she definitely got infected before being bitten.
No, First movie, simple bites did not bring infect people, their a fan theory that each barrel of slightly different based on the host zombie inside the barrel.

Mindy Clarke in this movie...my god. Does things to me.

The Bio Filter was Turned On. Meaning that it's going to Filter the Bio stuff. meaning that the zombie smoke would *not* spread. He was doing the honorable/right thing making sure that the Bio stuff is contained.
Sarah Douglas was the sequel queen. Superman 2, Beastmaster 2, Conan 2, Return of the living dead 3!
The exoskeleton worn by Riverman was not the lightest... it weighed a whopping 75 pounds.
