  • Tulsa is the second-largest city in the state of Oklahoma and 47th-most populous city in the United States. Downtown Tulsa is an area of approximately 1.4 square miles surrounded by an inner-dispersal loop created by Interstate 244, Highway 64, and Highway 75. The area serves as Tulsa's financial and business district, and is the focus of a large initiative to draw tourism, which includes plans to capitalize on the area's historic architecture. Much of Tulsa's convention space is located in downtown, such as the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and the Tulsa Convention Center, and the BOK Center. Prominent downtown sub-districts include the Blue Dome District, the Tulsa Arts District, and the Greenwood Historical District, which includes the site of ONEOK Field, a baseball stadium for the Tulsa Drillers opened in 2010.

True. 100% agree with you. I’m from Dominican Republic and have visited the Northeast (NYC, Jersey City, Boston) and Southeast (Miami, West Palm Beach, Naples, Boca Ratón, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa) on a few occasions. All cities were amazing. I don’t know why but I liked less touristy cities like St.Pete, Tampa, Clearwater, Boca Ratón and West Palm Beach than Miami. I loved Boston tho. And I agree with you this channel shows us the not-so touristy cities of America. All of them seen beautiful, organized, community oriented and full of things to do. Really surprised by Oklahoma City and Tulsa (great overall cities)

Very nicely done, thanks for showing me around my old town. I lived in Tulsa from 1955-1984. Many of the downtown buildings look pretty much the same, cleaner and updated, different names and tenants, but otherwise hasn't changed much. It had a grittier feel to it in the 60's, like most American cities did but they've done a nice job over the years cleaning it up. Thanks again, great video quality, take care.

It is what it is and that is a part of Oklahoma culture, but don't be surprised when liberal people want to leave the state because of it.@@downwiththezionistpsychopa9812

We used to live in Tulsa from 2003-2005. I'm actually from Germany, but my husband was born in Tulsa. We didn't own a car back then, and he worked the nightshifts at the Bank of Oklahoma. One of our friends loaned him a bike, and people in cars passing him threw beer bottles and cans at him. It was dangerous, and no fun. My father in law, who also lived in Tulsa, said when he first visited us in Germany, "so people really walk here?".

People don’t walk around downtown. They prefer to walk down riverside and enjoy the many parks and hiking trails around the city. Downtown is mainly business by day, restaurants bars and clubs at night. You should look up The gathering place. It’s one of most expensive parks ever built. Wichita is almost similar in size to Tulsa. Wichita will be getting a couple taller buildings over the next several years. Hopefully in the 450-650 feet range, As of now our tallest building is like 22-24 stories and 320 feet to the top floor and reaches its true height around 400 feet at tip on the slanted triangles. Tulsa tallest is 52 stories and is 667 feet and was designed by the same guy who built the original Twin Towers. So i am hoping at least one of the new buildings in Wichita is closer to 600 feet.

Yes it was a sunday in a bible belt town, but also downtown is a only a small part of Tulsa as a whole and there are allot of other shopping districts and parks so most of the time no single place is overcrowded except during evenings or special events.

It's just too big and too noticeable. Your earlier videos were so much better without it. I just can't watch them anymore with it in there.
