@@MasterofPlay7 can't say - personally was never a fan of the bright sound that is (or was) klipsch - i've heard they've been making strides away from that aspect as of late
the polks are more dynamically capable but the dali's would be more capable of communicating detail - if you'd like to upgrade the ikon 6 to anything dali or polk please get in touch and i'd be happy to help find something for you !
i have the L600s which are of similar weight . i placed furniture glides under the feet . this allowed me to easily slide them around to find the optimal listening position for my room . when satisfied with the position you want , just remove the glides . i left my glides in place so i could clean more easily . i can move the speakers with only one hand .
for sure! we're KEF dealers as well but the barrier to entry in a like kind format of floor standing is nearly double the cost of these at 4k/pr. so it's an entirely different price point
hi scott despite MANY other brands being this way, i’ve never heard kef to be bright - i can only guess it was paired with something to overemphasize the highs and even likely had them boosted via eq kef are extremely neutral with almost anything they’re paired with
what exactly is the scam? as with most things in life there are levels to this too. midfi is the next step up from consumer grade audio that is available from companies like samsung, apple, bose, etc. but is unable to achieve performance of truly hifi pieces for example you may be content with the performance of a bmw 3 series but its performance is objectively mid compared to an M4…this doesn’t mean that the M4 is a scam it’s probably just not the car for you
@@audioexperience A better performing vehicle can be objectively measured in terms of track times and drag races. Audio quality is the same across the board and highly subjective. The only thing that can look objectively better is the frequency response curve which I can pay 20$ for in ear monitors that look exactly like 2000$ headphones or 5000$ speakers. Scam was a poor choice of words, more of useless comparisons. Sorry but midfi and hifi are useless words that audiophiles come up with to justify the ridiculous prices they pay for their equipment. So you mean to tell me the polk R700 are midfi...and the bower and wilkins 805 D3 are hifi...based on what? Their looks? sound quality? Bose is considered lowfi "consumer grade" audio? It's all marketing schemes and placebo. If you blind 99% of these audio reviewers they won't be able to tell the difference. The problem is that it is very hard to blind them because of matching sound levels and fully covering the equipment.
