I am a huge Steiner fan as well as many other authors. Steiner resonates the most with me of any author from the occult world. My experience with the Anthroposophical Society was not a good one but it does not change my read of Steiner (they are very cultish yes but the experience is similar to most churches who come together for other reasons than knowledge and understanding). Steiner is susceptible to a lot of mis-readings/mis-interpretations if you only read a few of his works. I have to admit I read something deeper each time I re-read Steiner especially after reading other Occult works. Steiner is one piece to the puzzle however he is a very big piece in my opinion. Thank you for doing this video Angela!

Yeah unfortunately the modern anthroposophical movement treats steiner’s ideas as dogma, which is completely antithetical to the principles of his work. Steiner encourages us to drop all presuppositions, and to only accept his more mystical and specific teachings as fact once we have been able to verify them through our own spiritual research and experience. They are guidelines, reports of his own findings that are meant to inform yours. They are not to be blindly accepted and clung to, but rather taken as impetus to expand our own consciousness in a safe, healthy, and productive way

I think you explained it all in your comment. It seems to me that steiners studies were specialized and focused in on specific areas. I still cannot understand the Jesus blood thing thou.
I look for videos about it and podcasts but I don't get it.
So theorically the blood of Jesus touching the grown, opened a portal to awaken the human heart.
Why would we need a human sacrifice with horrible torture , to open the heart?
That is what I don't understand.
I know that the blood of an enlightened being can have a very high vibration and maybe cointain divine DNA, which maybe could open a portal, but was it necessary to do that through a horrible violent sacrifice?
I clearly feel and believe Jesus opened a portal, but I used to feel when christians say " I cover myself with the blood of Jesus" it sounded very messed up 😅

Steiner never wanted people to fill themselves with all of his understandings. The last thing he said he wanted was to have a group of 'Steinerites' in the world. He gave instructions on how to meditate and he gave many lectures on what he found in his meditations. He didn't claim you had to believe any of it, search for yourself. He believed each must go their own way, not turn into encyclopedists of Steiner quotes. I've seen a number of comments that Steiner was a racist, I don't agree with that. He did believe in the evolution of consciousness and each group would move the human forward in history. But that doesn't mean a black man growing up in Europe wouldn't be just as intellectually capable as a white person in that society. He had many warnings about the rise of the industrial age, the imbalance of soul and technology, the separative ego and its damaging effect on Earth. We shouldn't be so willing to condemn on superficial knowledge and a few quotes found online. Steiner is not easy going. His style is a bit archaic and a person can easily feel lost in an ocean of strange concepts and words. You could start with contemporary writers who have taken Steiner into the modern era like Dennis Klocek 'The Seer's Handbook', Christopher Bamford's 'Start here', or Robert Sardello's 'Silence' or 'Heartfulness'. I moved away and came back to Steiner work for many years, it can seem outrageously exotic to many people. I suggest you use what you can... focusing, concentration, reverence, imagination, are the main components of growth in this work.. There are artists who revere Steiner who have very little understanding of Anthroposophical medicine, Anthroposophic doctors who know very little of Steiner's philosophy, biodynamic farmers who are happy to use what they can to grow healthy food and nourish living soil. Steiner gave the world a great deal, take what you can that fits best for your own needs.

This is a problem that every area of knowledge, whether scientific or esoteric, suffers from. Thank you for your overview of anthroposophy. You have done a nice job of outlining some of Steiner's key beliefs. However you have neglected to mention some of his less savory more problematic beliefs. Stiner believed that skin color was associated with a person's past karmic actions and believed that white skin was an indication of a higher level of enlightenment. He also viewd disability in a similar way.
He also thought less of non Anthrophosophists and believed that it was morally acceptable to hide the anthroposophic ideas that which directed Waldorf education. Thus denying parents informed consent when enrolling children in Waldorf schools. He also believed that the parents were dangerous to the children as they exposed them to modern technology and ideas that were harmful to their spiritual development. And he believed that children chose their teachers in the pre-existence, therefore he believed it was acceptable for teachers to supplant the role of parents.
All of these ideas are alive and well in. Waldorf education and other anthroposophic institutions. Many reguard anthroposophy as a cult, including the French government which has listed is as a sectarian group.
While I appreciate your overview of Stiner, I do think it is important to discuss the more negative aspects of a person's ideas in addition to the more positive or interesting parts.

@@drangelapuca I don't think that the history of esoteric thought is apolitical, and while I understand that your aim is to understand the evolution of theology I would argue that this evolution does not take place in a vacuum, but is instead situated in the historical moment which it sprung forth from. I'm not suggesting that you do extensive research into these contexts so much as I'm suggesting that it is better to mention the controversy rather than avoid it, and simply say something about what the problems are, but they are not the point of your talk. People undoubtedly use your channel to navigate their own spiritual path, so I think it is better, when you are able, to mention things that are likely to cause some practitioners harm. Of course it is ultimately up to all of us to do our research, but it is also better form to be transparent.
That being said, I'm not surprised that this information was absent from your sources as anthroposophists have tried very hard to obscure these problems. My comment is far more about correcting this issue, than it is about correcting you. I do appreciate your channel, and I'm sure it is a lot of work to research all of these various branches of the esoteric spirituality.

Thank you for this! You did as well as humanly possible trying to boil his work down in less than 20 minutes. I do need to add a warning to his work.
I wouldn’t have expected for you to speak about this here. There is epic denial around this. Rudolph Steiner was my gateway into esoteric and occult study out of severe fundamentalist Christianity, for this I couldn’t be more grateful….. however there is massive white supremacy issues throughout the work.
He believes that all the eastern practices were actually about Christ and are more rudimentary than his own beliefs and that this evolution reaches its apex in white skin and Christianity. That rosey pink color he speaks of being the correct color has to do with his beliefs around the white Aryan race coming into his ideas of evolution. Basically ‘if you haven’t had a white incarnation yet, don’t worry you will as you evolve’ kinda thing.
So just heads up. If one studies his work keep this in mind.
It is not in anyway ok to see other religions as rudimentary steps on an evolutionary path to your own, or other ethnicities as lower until they reach their white skinned body.
The anthroposophical press does things to cover this up. They didn’t translate the more overtly racist text into English. I fortunately found people that read him in German who pointed this out.
I am not saying that he doesn’t have amazing insights within his work, but if one reads it without understanding that it is from a white supremacist way of thinking it is dangerous to take it in and to share it.

I had studied him along time.
I will make entire videos out of it in the future. It is also apparent in his over arching themes. Which took me way to long to notice. He thinks other ethnicities deities are incarnations of Christ. He subsumes other religions and spiritualities.

I once attended a Rudolph Steiner-'Waldorf' school. This was from the fall of 1970 to the winter of 1971. Judy Collins' kid sister, Holly Ann, was one of my classmates. At the time, Judy had a top 20 hit with her version of 'Amazing Grace'. Also, at the time, my late older brother was a touring musician, and as guitarist for The Buddy Miles Band had toured with Jimi Hendrix. It was also at that time that my brother met Herbie Worthington, who would later go on to be the principal photographer for Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Who also attended a Rudolf Steiner-'Waldorf' school was (drum roll, please): Mick Fleetwood!

Steiner's teachings that "concepts" can be a sensory apparatus for perceiving the "Supersensory World", was heavily influenced by German Idealist Philosophy, including Kant, Fichte, Shelling, Hegel etc regarding "The Philosophy of Self", & I think it possible Einstein was influenced by this with his "Thought Experiments". Some of the peripheral stuff is of great interest to me, like that of George Adams, Olive Whicher, Theodor Schwenk, Guenther Wachsmuth & D.R. Milner & Ted Smart.

A friend recently commented that there is just too much material, doesn't seem like a valid reason to not engage at all. I was curious if one has ever come across his concept of highest divinity. I just read his views on the elohim combining into a unity but didn't catch if he ever mentions anything above the 7 united elohim's consciousness.

The Elohim are the Spirits of Form, they're not God, the Hebrew word(plural, Hebrew words ending in -im are a plural) was translated in the Bible with God, and that'created confusion. They're part of the hierarchy of higher beings : Angels, Archangels, Archai, and above them : the : Exousiai = the Elohim. By giving the Earth a form they were united, and become one. Jehovah was one of the seven. There are still higher beings above the Elohim. Read 2 basic works of Steiner : Occult science and Theosophy (you'll find them free in R S Archive.)

Awesome dress and make-up!! Another interesting aspect in Steiner's teachings, is the model where Lucifer represents the ascending principle up towards the spiritual realms, while Ahriman represents the materialization/descending principle, while Jesus represents the balanced middle point constituted by two other principles balanced (Lucifer+Ahriman=Jesus). The fixation of the number seven strikes me somehow a bit suspect, even though it's probably as good as any other number. It is also worth mentioning that Steiner was a 33 degrees Freemason (I don't know what order).

Quote: ""When the Mason learns that the key to the warrior block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands." (Manly P. Hall, The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, page 48). They were both members of the Theosophical Society, and they were both 33rd degree Masons.

He had a big split , good to read about. the reason he left is because theosophy is just a personality cult masquerading as an 'esoteric' religion.
esoteric religions are generally tribes that use the 'allure' of secret wisdom as a way to attract the kind of followers who will be extremely dedicated and not question ORDERS and MINDSET.
they are 'hard' cults in this sense.
Steiner was a great success and remembered because he wanted the best for all humans and tried to understand and respect the various cycles and types of existence. esoteric cults, generally do not, and are willing to 'order' the priorities of human beings for their own person members benefit, often for the true benefit of the 'leader' who is a personality cult leader at the top of the organization.
steiner's work never got finished. sadly, his followers made a personality cult leader out of him and did precisely the wrong thing.
this too, was a shortcoming of steiner's as he was unable to properly set up a system of communication and priorities for the average person ( his followers ) to carry on his mission.
Steiner's mission was not to aggrandize his name , but to work on the continuous project of human spirit. people make 'prophets' of these great leaders because people are weak and not creative and scared and also because sometimes this strategy is very helpful for passing on devotion to a way of life.
In new york city, steiner stil has a cult following him and not the spirit of ideas he transmitted well and with joy and dedication. We need people like this, but those who worship 'names' and 'prophets' often obstruct the progress of those newcomers who carry their spirit.
    ironic no?
angela , i'd like to do a movie review with you of one of the best most spiritual movies ever made in the 1970s , the great age of creative cinema. it is a spanish language movie with subtitles. can we watch it on twitch and then breaks to comment and discuss, and then use the recording to edit/cut ( i'll help with that using final cut pro and make it something you like. , but i have to be part of the 'review' . it will be a review like 'mystery science theatre 2000' but not 'comedy' , rather 'spiritual talk'. let me know. look for me @kirshzeev on twitter or @zeevkirsh telegram or linkedin

(I must point out that my hypothesis was made a long time ago, before I went down the road of the learning of Esoterica and Hermetics/Occult. I must also point out that I use the term "magic" and "long con" strictly as a descriptive of the events, and in no way place any motive towards what Jesus may have been trying to engender in his fellow Man.)

You are not so accurate in many of your claims:
the planetary evolutions are alot more comprehensive, with various phases of Consciousness at each stage: part of the sentient soul is involved in reality just as much as the intellectual soul but this also depends what you call reality: As Spirit would be considered so, lastly this epoch is know as the Angleo-German epoch, Stiener didn't give creative interpretation, rather he mastered Esoteric research in a scientific sense, the use of Science is missed here entirely for the approach given through the foundational books is a SCIENCE inspired by a Goethean approach, whose science is then used in the akashic records to verify claims, the Philosophy of Spiritual activity depicts his method in its Essence, you simply picked the Fruits but told us near to nothing about the Tree or the ground upon which it stands, I write this out of care for you and your path, that before one speaks to the public about these things one has to know one's stuff, this is not Chaos Magik rather it is the opposite and far more than a system is given through Anthroposophy

I once accidentally insulted someone at the London Steiner Institute. I was on the bus as it passed, and noticed a bookshop. Having nothing else to do, I got off at the next stop and retraced my steps, finding myself at said institute. The bookshop, it turns out, wasn’t open, but when I went into the adjacent building to ask what sort of stock they had, a very enthusiastic man bounded over to me and started enquiring about if I was interested in Steiner’s works. I wasn’t aware of Steiner outside of hearing his name, so I replied “not really?”. The guy then said “well, something clearly bought you here!”, in retrospect I see trying to prompt some sort of realisation. Of course, that didn’t land at the time and I sarcastically replied “yeah, the bus”. He looked rather deflated at this response. My apologies, random man from the London institute!
I then went to do my own research on Steiner, and found out he believed in a hierarchy of races, “Ubermensch” theory and was vehemently anti-vaxx, something that continues to cause misery in Waldorf Schools to this day. Needless to say, I never went back to that bookshop.

People who are more interested in exposure of a subject's political controversial aspects should respect the channel owner's choice of topic. It's as easy to understand- everytime when you are giving or listening to a sermon from bible, you don't expect the priest to also mention the bloodshed history of the entire christianity around the world...or when you are giving lecture on the communism as a form of government, you are not necessarily supposed to explain the massacre, violence, butchery and suppression of people that followed through the actual communist regimes....so respect the choice of topic and stick to it while listening in a limited minute of video 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Phd means you're versed in other peoples opinions :) to some of us that's like bragging you don't think for yourself and paid others to give you their ideas.

Didnt you paraphrase that comment from somewhere?

@@badwerds no i have created defenses such as when people tell me to read a book i'll state "books are just over peoples Opinions" The base paradigms of language alone is an agreed on one between humans who are programmed in that language.
There will be billions of dialects sounds words symbols to be discovered still I don't personally like passing opinions of others off as my own but i will agree with some peoples work if it resonates with me,
my theories on Quantum immortality and never suffering death has rules too. paradigms tend to be in flux till they are shared and distilled in to something that can be understood by the laymen like the world being A globe. the Stars being balls of gas.
then there is knowledge that people don't know about like how the body develops in the womb why it takes 9 months what the moon does every 60 hours why astrology is important to ALL life on the planet why is the planet 75% water like why are you 75% water. then you get in to hermetics and understand rules of reality and Finally you're at the point you don't need other people to explain things because they are so obvious.
i actually get asked if i paraphrase often because i think with some people they can't accept a Nobody's opinion as REALLY GOOD.
it's an ego thing too i guess especially when talking to Academics who are no genius but can just remember really good.

Thank you YT algorithm for this wonderful video and channel. I forgive you for telling me that you're SkyNet from Terminator, "But more advanced" and for telling me that "We at the Church of Google, are the closest thing to God, that mankind has ever interacted with." (True story) I forgive you Goggles, for effecting the way in which I see the world. Ok then, that will be all.
Ps, does anyone think that this beautiful women is into American men with a bad attitude and constant sarcasm? That would be fantastic, regular Sheeple women scoff at me when I tell them this stuff.
Ok then, that will be all, take 2. Over and out

The man comes over as deeply disturbed, especially with his ideas regarding race, animals and the whole merging Jesus thing. I had a classmate who grew up with anthroposophy and her ideas of how the world supposedly was made it very hard for me not to burst out chuckling. It is a wonder to me how people still follow this. Either you believe in the whole of his ideas or not at all, cherry picking only the socially acceptable beliefs makes no sense. And if you look at the whole thing it seems like mingled together racist invention.

The word theorized is a mischaracterization of Steiner's work.
That the ideas/information he presents are theoretical is your opinion, which is perfectly okay for you to hold, but, Steiner did not present the ideas/information as either his beliefs or theories. The ideas/information are presented as not coming from him, but being presented by him as that which he has discovered through research.
Whether you believe that he is reporting actual findings of research, or that he is just theorizing, or rather, making the ideas/information up himself, is not the point.
Only that a distinction should be made between your opinion, and what the author says about his own work.
Thank you for the video and thorough efforts at researching this material.
