Just an fyi but I don’t think it’s good idea to put a piece of furniture over a floor vent. Even if you shut the vent it’s not good to block the vent. Not sure if that’s your heating and Ac or just heating? But the heat and even the moisture from AC can ruin the wood but also blocking it can put wear on the HVAC system. This anyway is what I was told🤷♀️
