the little dozer is a real treat! I'm a retired Diesel tech (×3) who started off on a big farm/ranch operation and tent on to 22 years in the SEABEE'S. upon retirement from that, I worked at several construction co's and a truck dealership, then took on a fleet of school busses (27, just me!) retired after 18 years of that! I'm restoring my 4th cabin now and have alot of other projects in the wings! Really enjoy your videos!
Good things happen to good people. I hope that made your day. The last crawler I revived was a 1947 D-2 Cat 5J. It had sat in Nevada for 20 years with the head off. I was just grateful to get the pony motor started....lol. This should be a fun project. Good luck with the steering/final repair.
That's going to be a great machine to have around the place. They can do so much. Pushing, pulling ,lifting ,moving etc. We had an old one on the farm growing up. It was also often hired out to people for work, certainly paid its way. You got a great little tool there, will serve you very well.
Picked up a 1979 Bayliner Bounty last weekend. Took three trucks and a winch to get it off the ground and on to the trailer. Today I got one of the engines going and started working on the other. Hadn't been run in eleven years. I thought of you when she finally fired up!
So that sat out in a field for who knows how long and it starts up! My lawn mower sits in my garage for six months and it varnishes up and says no way. (yes I know I forgot the stabil) WOW!
Had a 1989 Komatsu D21P that we used to contour our pastures, loved it, worked great until the right side steering brake locked up and we broke something in the final drive trying to get it unstuck. Sold it to a neighbor for $500.
Ha! Bobby and his magic hammer. Fired right up. I love an old mechanical injection diesel. It would be interesting to see how you get the track unstuck. Thanks.
Once again, what an outstanding program, I would love to be there helping you out but, 3 where's Nana, she has not endorsed this episode, better get the seal of approval Cheers Ewen WA
Nice work! Hopefully that track will be easy enough to un stick. I'll bet it's just a sprocket seized with rust. Taking it all apart will probably fix it.
Reminds meof my first day of work when I went into the porjects and the mechanic opened his trunk and got out a big ballpean and handed me a 12" cresent. I was wondering what the heck are we fixing when he turns and says. "Never walk around here empty handed."
It's a good thing you don't attract too many kids to your channel because you just showed your name, phone number, and address on the side of your truck...lmao Another good video Jonathan.
Fantastic rescue. Should have it runnin; in a 1/2hr or so. Have you ever considered running a fund raiser for less fortunate families in your area. I was wondering if you and all your men friends could do a reveal. You know, maybe a close shave and buzz haircuts say with the women doing the cutting etc. Could make it a local event for a children's hospital. I think that would be a great July 4th thing. And plenty of time to build up a kitty. Maybe give away one of your restorable vehicles as a prize to someone in a raffle. Just my way of trying to get to see a smile on your face. LOL Looking forward to the next video.
hey Jonathan do you ever have any problems out of your winch motor our waren winch on our rollback keeps blowing orings on the hydraulic motor body where back meets the center section its a parker motor love watching your videos
That went better than you thought it mite. Bet you are over the moon it starting up like that. But there's always a catch some were along the line . And this time it one off the trakes stuck on what a shame. But at least it started an let move under its own power. So a fairly good win .
Love that little Dozer are you planning new tracks and treasure spots for "new" vehicles on your property now you have it? Johnathan i was always taught to let the glow plugs warm up on a diesel before starting it, any comments ?
1st thing 2 battries doesnt mean 24 volt. 2nd i hope you have an abundance of checks to use. Me n dad had a i/h a 9 the steering clutches were bad every bearing in the drive was bad. Fairly expensive.
If it's a cummins thats ok. If it's a Kamatso that's ok too 'cause they copied US made. In 1930's a chevy engineer went to Japan with the plans of Chevies 6 cylinder . I read that some where. LOL
I know that some of the bigger Komatsus had Cummins engines.Didnt know about one this size.I believe you are right about the Chevy 6 cylinder.Have you ever seen an early 70s Toyota Landcruiser ?The engine looks just like a 235 Chevy.I know a guy that was gonna put one in a landcruiser. The only reason he didnt is because everything was half of a bolthole off.It was that close.
It's really vibration, as a women co worker once told me as I freed up a stuck motor with some taps from a 3 pounder, "A little vibration can be a good thing" She was so much fun to work with ! Didn't GAF about all this sexual harassment stuff cause she could give out as good as she got.
These people are vey good , no none sense people. Run the engine a good hours and empty the tank. Buy a few gallons of komatsu paint, clean, power wash and spray. Just like new. Oh, made in USA? I thought made in Japan?

A hammer the international repair tool, often criticised but so often all you need. Looking forward to Komatsu updates

that's one heckuva machine to work that well after setting so long
Nice...subbed in hopes you document the overhaul. Always said..."you can tell how good a mechanic is by the size of the hammer in his toolbox."
Famous last words' Hold my beer and watch this"!
And we have precision engineering as Bobby uses his favorite tool to fix the alternator
Looks like he fixed the blade with it too at 4:42 ha ha.
Charlie
Looked like his favorite tool was a deadblow hammer lol

Very cool!!!!!! From field rust to running in one shot!!
That old bugger fired right up like it was just run yesterday !
Always good when with minimal work you get it to start right up. Cant beat that.
Nice I love dozers. My grandpa use to drive dozers.
I was suprised at how easily it started. Motor sounded healthy. Nice!
So that sat out in a field for who knows how long and it starts up! My lawn mower sits in my garage for six months and it varnishes up and says no way. (yes I know I forgot the stabil) WOW!

was surprised at how quickly it fired up, looks like money well spent!!
Just got off work, opened a beer and watching my favorite channels new video
Ryan Olander God bless you
Makes me smile every time, many thanks for the video!
I helped a guy pull the left final on D375a years ago, probably weighed what that whole thing weighs. Hell of a job.
Nice, looking forward to seeing more progress on this.
Ive got a d20 p good little dozers easy to work on NICE SAVE MAN lay in there
Good startup , sounds good!
Nice little dozer
Great video!
well that was an easy one!!! a little tlc and thats a good machine! thanks for another great vid!!!!
Engine sounds good. I’m sure you will get that track working.
Ha! Bobby and his magic hammer.
Fired right up. I love an old mechanical injection diesel.
It would be interesting to see how you get the track unstuck.
Thanks.
Man, that's some magic hammer ya'll got there! :>) Thanks, JW! This one is a real winner.
Thank love the vids
Sweet lil dozer!
Amazing what can get done with a few friends pitching in.
Lots of potential for the beast.
Once again, what an outstanding program, I would love to be there helping you out but, 3 where's Nana, she has not endorsed this episode, better get the seal of approval

WA
Nice little Japanese diesel. The older the better.
That thing is sweet
Nice score.
Amazing...
Gotta love a diesel engine for sitting
Nice!
Sweet.
Bobby's favorite tool, yep that will fix most anything.
Interesting unloading when she wants to just run in a circle!
I almost bought a 50's era International TD-340 and it had a locked up track and non operational rear winch drum.
Sometimes ya just need a little, “Tappy, tap, tap.” A few years of sitting to a diesel? Like it never even happened....
Take the seat out and the bracket check your bolts on the right side make sure they are tight
Put some grouser bars and trailing edge bars on those pads and she will push again some day. Steering won't be too bad, done several times years ago.
Was wondering how you were going to get it off the truck - thought you might have to drag it off...track looks tight on this one - no sag
nothing like a man and his magic hammer
Leuk zoon oude dozer.
Nice work! Hopefully that track will be easy enough to un stick. I'll bet it's just a sprocket seized with rust. Taking it all apart will probably fix it.
Hell ya
Well doggies! It started rather quickly.
Anytime I need to work on equipment here on the farm, the hammer is my first tool to choice to start my repair.
Reminds meof my first day of work when I went into the porjects and the mechanic opened his trunk and got out a big ballpean and handed me a 12" cresent. I was wondering what the heck are we fixing when he turns and says. "Never walk around here empty handed."
Are you going to do videos of you fixing this dozer up?
It's a good thing you don't attract too many kids to your channel because you just showed your name, phone number, and address on the side of your truck...lmao Another good video Jonathan.
All right I'm first to see video
👍
Damn!
Time to put a new deck on that truck bed.
First thing to check on the right side, is to free up the brakes then see if the track will begin to turn.
Good luck
They could’ve started any easier that’s what I call a good day
Agreed!
👍👍👍👍
Hold my Pepsi, I got this lol

Well if anyone can get it running it will be Johnboy because he is very good on fixing things !
hey Jonathan do you ever have any problems out of your winch motor our waren winch on our rollback keeps blowing orings on the hydraulic motor body where back meets the center section its a parker motor love watching your videos
Never. I run Charlyn on everything. I prefer Ramsey winches and kinda old school as I still prefer a worm drive over a plantitary.
Bye!
That went better than you thought it mite. Bet you are over the moon it starting up like that. But there's always a catch some were along the line . And this time it one off the trakes stuck on what a shame. But at least it started an let move under its own power. So a fairly good win .
Yup, he can use it to bulldoze new cul-de-sac's !
Love that little Dozer are you planning new tracks and treasure spots for "new" vehicles on your property now you have it?
Johnathan i was always taught to let the glow plugs warm up on a diesel before starting it, any comments ?
Moondyne .Joe some diesels don't have glow plugs they have a Intake air heater.
Thanks thefordmaniac I didn't know that you learn something new every day... if we are willing
I must have a bulldozer now
Just what are those two levers for right in front of you?
🇺🇸
by the way what year is the tractor
this thing needs a wd40 sponsorship
How long had it been standing🇬🇧
1st thing 2 battries doesnt mean 24 volt. 2nd i hope you have an abundance of checks to use. Me n dad had a i/h a 9 the steering clutches were bad every bearing in the drive was bad. Fairly expensive.
I worked on electric golf carts for years. I know series and parallel. It's a 24 volt system on this machine.
didnt even have to change out the spark plugs!
WD-40 or P-B Blaster work wonders
Will you keep it to use around the grounds or fix and sell it?
Not sure yet!
I wish i could find a dozer that size...im gonna ask Santa 🎅
Was the dozer in a fire?
First at last
It looks big until you go up and stand next to it.
Use Bobby’s BFH on that track
Is that a little Cummins or a Komatsu engine?
If it's a cummins thats ok. If it's a Kamatso that's ok too 'cause they copied US made. In 1930's a chevy engineer went to Japan with the plans of Chevies 6 cylinder . I read that some where. LOL

It's a Komatsu 4cyl engine, it's 40 hp.
mechanics- 1% problem solving.. 99% bashing stuff with hammers
I didn't see Bobby hit that right side track with his hammer. Just sayin'.
Also, the image and audio on this new camera is excellent!
I love your wire spool picnic table in the background. You need a new umbrella, tho' ;-)
if it was that easy why didn't ya just fire it up and drive it onto the flatbed?
Nothing wrong with percussive maintenance lol,
It's really vibration, as a women co worker once told me as I freed up a stuck motor with some taps from a 3 pounder, "A little vibration can be a good thing" She was so much fun to work with ! Didn't GAF about all this sexual harassment stuff cause she could give out as good as she got.
...jeesh... i’ve’a nice hammer too...i only show it to women tho...
Fixed it the Russian way with big hammer.
These people are vey good , no none sense people.
Run the engine a good hours and empty the tank.
Buy a few gallons of komatsu paint, clean, power wash and spray. Just like new.
Oh, made in USA? I thought made in Japan?
👍
