Great video Dean. I wish that I could go back today too. You got a great deal on that lot for 70. Some sellers were really good with deals. One did not give me as good of a deal, but it was not that bad.
gotta love those discounts when you dont even ask for them, i got one like that at my last card show with all those HOF vintage ungraded cards. nice pick ups, filling in alot of holes in your set, im working on my team binders, and i think i have almost a 2nd complete set of 1979 topps cards lol.. thought id share that since you bought another late 70s bulk and you having multiple completed sets. set building is fun!
Hey dean nice pickups! I was also at that show and got some really good deals as well. It was bigger than last year and I expect the may show to be even bigger. Glad you were able to get some good deals as well. Maybe I’ll see ya there is may!
Nice video. Nice to see the older football cards. How do you collect so many sets? What is your main focus in your collecting? I narrowed mine down to 1958 to 1974 baseball to stop from going insane. I put together Nm-mt 1962 and 1967 Topps baseball sets and collect some subsets from other years and Yankee cards.
I never know what I'm going to find at a show, so I have about 80 different lists with me. As far as keeping track of it all, I keep sets in binders. I have over 400 binders. I'm 53 so I've been collecting since I was 7 on and off over the years. I buy collections and sell off what I don't want. My main focus is to collect every set that isn't shinny.
1st to comment from Western North Carolina. I went to a card show on Saturday February 3rd , 2024 myself. Dealers are selling raw vintage in pathetic condition and attempting to get prices as if the cards were in nearmint condition. No bargins to be found. Many dealers are pricks. I only collect 1963 thru 1972 baseball cards. I do not collect poor , fair ir VG cards. Cards must be EX or better. However dealers attempting to sell cards that would grade Good or very good at best asking premium prices are delusional. Ths occured in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
I think some dealers overpaid for inventory and are still charging boom prices. My suggestion would be to get to know the dealers and just walk away if you feel it's not a good deal. I collect many different cards from the tobacco Era to present so I can look for better deals and wait on others. Thanks for watching
@@deangearhartyeahicollectit2439 I've been watching your videos for a long time. I sold all my football and basketball sets pre COVID to purchase tools. I had Topps football complete sets 1968 thru 1975. Philadelphia 1966 and 1967 complete sets. I had Topps basketball sets complete 1971/72 thru 1975/76 complete. I currently have no Football, no Basketball and no hockey cards at all ! Zero , zilch . I'm currently only collecting Baseball. Topps only. 1963 thru 1972. I'm working on a 1967 set at the moment. I have. 1968 thru 1972 Topps baseball sets complete. Actually I have three complete 1968 sets. 1963 thru 1967 I am 30 to 60 percent complete. I enjoy your channel
Wow, those 1969 Topps football cards all look pack fresh. Very nice.
Yes, they were pretty sharp.

Thank you maybe we will meet up either there or the Monroeville show.
You did great at the show Dean.
Thank you.
I thought about going, but I'm not buying anything right now. I have one of those Globetrotter Wonder Bread cards. Those are fun.
Lots of other shows are coming up, so I'm sure we will 🏃♂️ into each other
Nice Sanders
I think I got a good deal at 30.00
