- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- Watching Formula Offroad Iceland bring their cars all the way over the USA to race is awesome but over the last few years they have not been able to make the trip. Well that all changed because Formula Offroad USA 2022 couldn't be stopped as 16 cars and crews made their way to take on the blinding dust and steep silty hills of Bikini Bottoms Off Road Park in Dyersburg, Tennessee. They races for 2 days on a multitude of hill climb racing courses to find out who the top dog was. These crazy Icelandic hill climbs drivers even did some Formula Offroad Hydroplane racing or Formula Offroad Water Skipping as some may call it on Saturday night. Stay tuned to find out and let us know which formula off road car is your favorite in the comments.

Been following Formula Offroad for decades. Fearless drivers! Great to see them back in the U.S. again.
They are nuts for sure
Amazing how much speed they get going up a mountain of talcum powder! Thanks Busted Knuckle & Iceland 🇮🇸
It takes a lot of power to get traction in that stuff.
Sure would like seeing more of these vehicles. They are nuts. The combination of rock bouncers and Icelandic vehicles can’t be better!
They are both extreme no doubt
Haha damn glad you posted this video, didn't feel right watching it on another channel!!! LFGGG
Hopefully it is worth the wait!
Never seen the water skimming before. Incredible! Thanks for the expert filming. You're always brilliant Matt!
It one of my favorite things to watch at their events.
They've got tons of video of them doing it regularly in their home country. Some of their courses have it as part of the track even. I've been watching them on here for 20 years lol. It's amazing what they can do, but the hill They're on here isn't doing them justice for how they normally run
@@TheAmericanUhate Thank for that. I will look on UA-cam for their videos. The tyres look as though they will tackle any terrain! Although I've aqua planed in my car, it is incredible to see car travel so far on water. Thanks again
@@brendaspeight2106 not so good for rock crawling IMO.
Wow they are back!!!! The most insane offroad action ever
They are wild
I can only imagine the sound of them rigs down in that holler 🤤🤤
That motor music echoes like a symphony of horsepower
Super cool, I do like watching these guys to. Would love to see our guys bring their rock bouncers over there and race American style! Bet they would get hook on our style of racing and would be beneficial for the companies that make the parts to go international. Just saying, a win; win for all, plus new fans!
That would be cool to see for sure.
I watch these guys every season, they're badass!
No doubt. It’s about time we went back over to Iceland to check it out in person again.
😮What an event! Too bad it was that dusty, they must have been shaking their heads 😆 I see videos of them around rarely…i needed this video, Ty BK these buggies are powerhouses and they fully send a vehicle like a vehicle should be sent! 👌
All they know is full send
The driving at 38:57 is just furiously perfect. Thanks for uploading!
Some good drivers in this sport no doubt
Oh wow!! This is definitely new to me. Talk about spilling. This is super adrenaline for sure. Gotta give it to the guys. Really put it all out there. It's down and dirty lol. I'm assuming here you really need some knowledge of what your doing. Kudos!!! ❣️
It is some awesome racing
Awesome, we don't get anything like that here in Australia, all the best to yous and your loved ones
But you have cool burnout cars?
Ive missed this so much
You and me both!
3-5 5000 gallon tankers sitting atop that hill spraying a mist of water occasionally would make a huge difference in every aspect of this deal.
Can you line that up for us for next time?
Nice coverage. They shoot for more precision and put on a great show. Although I do think that they are better suited for the volcanic homeland tracks
yeah the silt and dust were hard on them
Hello from central Florida. Were do they hide the intake filter to not get clogged?. Love this style of bouncing.
They make big air boxes for them
Great coverage!!! Formula off-road is one of my favorites!!💪🏼
it is a wild form of offroad racing
Man, if you watch this back at their home tracks in Iceland, I don't know how anyone would even want to come race Formula Offroad here in the States.. I hope all of the racers had dust masks on, at the very least.. The viability has to be trash on some of those runs as a driver and a spectator... Glad they came.. Sorry I missed it.. I'm just now actually learning about it. Thanks for the video coverage!
It was tough conditions for sure. Not much they could do about it.
Thank you Iceland 🇮🇸 !
they put on a show.
That Dust is on another level.
yeah it is!
Wow amazing
It’s wild what they can climb
First time I saw these guys was in the late 70's on Wide World of Sports . Freakin awesome .
They have been racing up crazy hills for a long time
Love it!! At least parts are close!
they bring a lot of spare parts
I like Simba and the yellow one that used to be call The Sledgehammer #123
the yellow IRS one showed out
I remember when I was a kid they ran those kind of tires on the back of the side by side drag’s at the half time show of the monster truck race’s way before they even raced monster trucks they just ran over shit but I remember those drag cars loved those!!! They called it a mud bog but it wasn’t they flew across it !!!
Mud skimming is fun to watch for sure. We have a series called mud outlaws where they do that.
Awesome
Some amazing machines
These look more capable than the big rock bouncer's has nobody got huge paddle tires for their LS power buggies- would be a sight to see
A bouncer in high range could handle the 35” paddles pretty good.
@@BustedKnuckleVideo don't believe you your going to have to show us😂
@@crazymtbrider If they come back next year you might just get your wish. 😬
So cool of them to bring the big guns thanks for no comments
They brought the A team for sure.
These guys are used to "impossible hills". So they climb them anyways... 😁😇
It's not only pure horsepower & paddle tires, it's also driver skill and reading the hill. But that dusty powder was surely a challenge to them... 🤟
True!
Would be nice to have a little tech info, motor, transmisson stuff, this was awesome!
We will try to get a little more technical next time, I got carried away with the adventure!
@BustedKnuckleVideo sounds great, youre on the right track for sure. 👍
Man I could hear some girls screaming as that orange car went flipping down the hill. These formula cars are nasty
That was another bad roll for sure
I want to see one of these Formula Offroad cars run some dunes, like Glamis.
their suspension wouldn't make it much fun
Was thinking a similar thought a while back.
Easy enough to add longer travel suspension, if they thought it was needed.
Now you rock bouncers need to go to Iceland to attempt what these guys do, the skimming in particular. The water is slightly deeper where they do that.
It’s not super deep. I be a bouncer could do it
@@BustedKnuckleVideo well let's see it, oh and they usually start about 20 to 30 feet from the water, they don't use a long runway to build speed for skimming. Be kinda cool to see you guys try that, it would make rock bouncing more interesting to see more technical rather than send it.
As usual awesome dedication on these videos we all appreciate it 😎
Glad you like them!
Thank you
You're welcome
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Morning Slim!
these guys are crazy! i like it!
no doubt
I really enjoy watching them at the gravel pits they run at but that dust is just terrible !!!!!
gravel is where they shine, and volcanic ash
How about skimming half that lake and then a smooth transition up a hill to keep momentum; hill then becomes a reckon to work with which will lower speeds, but allow feathering the gas to perhaps an awesome hill clim in the end.
YES!
would be cool if that terrain was available
Really cool but all that dust like gave me anxiety lol
try being the driver or the camera man...
@@BustedKnuckleVideo lol I know right. Absolutely brutal.
Great 👍 video
So it’s duck tape and zip ties 😂
Thanks!
The car with the hell cat motor looks like it’s the size of 4 seater RZR with a hell cat stuff inside
It is short looking for sure
These guys make rock bouncers look like girl scouts.
how do you figure that?
Red Neck clay hits different than that volcanic ash. It be like that sometimes...
Little harder on parts for sure
I hope they come back, america loves this shit to bad the hill was trash. I thought it was nice as a spectator but I don’t know shit about this sport. We admire all they go threw just to get the car over here y’all are crazy an we appreciate it!
Conditions were tough for sure.
I was just wondering if the 4-cylinder turbo guy was there I think he calls his vehicle the cube
not this time
Can't believe everything they'd go through all the trouble and expense to come over here to run in a dust bowl. Crazy !!
can't help the weather, we were in a drought
Id like to see a rock bouncer compete against them
Like this? ua-cam.com/video/Syuze5j5Z3A/v-deo.html
@@BustedKnuckleVideo yes like that thanks 👍🏻
After watching the video, I felt like I needed to take a shower,LOL (a lot of dust)
It was brutal
Where do u find events like this. I been off-roading all my life and never seen one. Is it cause I'm from Alabama? Lol
This happened in Tennessee, you just have to pay attention
RIP to all the air filters, you severed a great time...
They were struggling with all that dust.
how is this scored? how do they determine the winner?
there are gates they have to make it through, there are no timers
Viking racing..
exactly
Why doesn't this have 2 million views. This is the most ridiculous motorsport I've ever followed. When my dad first got cable in 1999. He had recorded this one night to show me the next day. And I must have watched it 10 times. These guys are so hardcore. And they are not afraid of that skinny pedal.
It should have more views for sure as these guys are nuts!
ICELAND HEART USA
We love having them come over and race
@@BustedKnuckleVideo It would be fun to come over to US and see this. maybe later this year :)
you can see the rock bouncers and these guys all at the same race
Badass awesome
such crazy hill climbers
Water skipping after 22:43
it was even dusty at the water!
Kind of hard to climb a mountain made of silt.
true
Proof that viking culture is still alive.
true
Guess this facility has no water truck, should have been soaking it down 3 or 4 days prior to the event.
We were in a drought so they water truck didn't do a whole lot of good
that INSANE car just doesn't have good luck over here. at least it wasn't as bad as last time..
Facts
How about "Formula Offroad Czech Republic Returns To Tanzania"? That's a great series you're neglecting.
Can always count on your comment to be wildly random 😂
@@BustedKnuckleVideo 4 out of 5 podiatrists agree naugahyde is necessary for good dental hygiene.
FOI FTW
Winning!
Wow! Really dusty! They dig deep!
they had a hard time in all of that dust
Anybody else curious what a rock bouncer with paddles could do on these courses?
Like this? ua-cam.com/video/Syuze5j5Z3A/v-deo.html
That dust must be terrible to see through. Yeesh.
yeah it was rough
Seems like they started getting used to the trash soil like chalk lol
its a different terrain for them for sure
No bouncers having a go this time?
No this time
Real shit show with all that dust.
Yeah no kidding. Want to bring us a water truck next time?
@@BustedKnuckleVideo what happend to the watter truck thats at the top of the hill when the bouncers are their.
@@johnniebrown257 they had a fire truck dump water down all the courses. It just made a mud hole at the bottom of the hill. It has been a drought for over a month and there isn’t much making water soak into this strange silty soil.
@@BustedKnuckleVideo maybe we will get lucky an get sum rain. Eather way still cool to see them guys just send it.
nice crashs
Lots of good ones on hill 1 for sure
Been watching icelandic racers for guite a while and I havnt seen KFC finish a run yet
it has it's moments
There’s no way I would wreck my shit on the wrong type of terrain like this. Painful to see.
It’s not their first rodeo. They knew what they were getting into.
Dude I live close to Dyersburg
and you didn't come to this event?
Doidera 👊🇧🇷
🙀👍👍
👍🤘👊🇺🇸
That dust is terrible!
you are telling me!
It was hard to see how steep the hill is. Until they start rolling over and over and....
exactly
Dust?
Why didn't they get the local Fire department or a swimming pool company to stand by with a lot of wate,r to hose down the course. Seems like it would have been right neighborly of ya.
Because they couldn't even get to the hill most likely and this was during a drought
Need more dust
I am not sure if that is possible
A bit dusty🤯
just a tad due to the drought
You got to be crazy to want to do this, it like invest a ton of money into a specialty vehicle then drown it in silt dust to try to kill its engine, then attempt a water crossing to drown it. It’s the ultimate double sided coin with a fuck you at the end, and the prize for the win isn’t even a fraction of your investment! Gonna pay if you want to play but you also got to be crazy to want to
But man it looks like fun!
That has yo be the dustiest course I've ever watched them on.
yeah it was bad
It's so dusty it doesn't look like a good time for the drivers or spectators.......
yeah drought will do that
They must have stole this idea from usa ? Iam sure i saw this at motorsport channels in the 90s
nope it started in Iceland
Give the visitors a chance! That one section was nearly impossible. I have watched all but 2 fail and smash their cars up. That`s not entertainment. 10 mins in and can`t watch it any further.
Well they all have their say in the courses.
@@BustedKnuckleVideo OK. Just my thoughts. Thanks generally though, I really love this sport. Very interesting TC or WG.... may the best driver win
To much horsepower to much dust to much carnage and way to many DNF’s.
Still a good show.
That course sucked! Feel like it hurt the overall event. I know it should be challenging but damm! Iceland guys won't come back ever. After destroying their trucks!
they have done this every year they come, they decide on the courses and want to put on a good show for the crowd
Dry & powdery, shit conditions for car, driver, spectators.... H20 Needed~~
too bad we were in a drought
Hills should have been wet.
you want to bring a water truck next time?
That ain't worth a damn. Can't do nothing in all that lose dirt
that is what they are built for loose soil like sand and gravel
Back ground music fkn sucks 8o8 WTFUDGE
it is intro music, GTF over it
Why didn't they put down some water! These guys will never come back to the states! And it makes for shitty video, can't see anything!
they will be back. We were in a drought, they dumped water down but it dried right up.
Those are great I bet they get blasted in the face by the front tires throwing stuff
It was rough conditions for them for sure
Icelanders going over and showing you all "whats up" LOL get that cheated up TC buggy on some paddle tyres and lets go!!!😂
Horses for courses, I know LOL
You would be surprised how well a bouncer on paddles can keep up with these guys
these guys need good sand courses the trucks do so much better there. the dirt courses are just kinda meh for them.
hard to find big sand hills in the USA
Way to dusty
Yeah wish we had some rain…..
A lot of boogers were made that day.
All the brown boogers
