Ymgwie is my age, and when he speaks about things from the 70s, etc, it makes sense to me. Like everything in life we have to choose what we are going to do, and commit to it. People like Yngwei have an obsession with being the best, and that's why they become the best and bring value to our lives. They are rare, and that's why we love them. Yngwei included!

BEST interview I've seen with him. You mixed it up with him, asked great questions, and let him speak. This was excellent. Worth multiple watches. Yngwie seemed really natural, relaxed, and seemed to really be enjoying it. I enjoyed this IMMENSELY. VERY interesting conversation.✌
@@JonathanGrahamMusic Thanks for this Jonathan, this is the best interview I've seen of him so far. I've never seen him "open up" like this in a loooong time. Well done sir!
Saw Yngwie on 12/4/21 at The Apollo in Belvidere, IL, what a show. Let me tell you, I was not prepared to be blown away. If you think he ever "left", I am here to tell you the dude is back in a big way. Lean, mean and humble with ridiculous chops, the Swede is here to remind you what made him famous. Two weeks later, I am asking myself how this is possible at 58 yoa...he looks 35. Do not miss his show-it is a must see. By the way, an intelligent interview with great chemistry. Easily one of the best I have seen in years with Yngwie. Thanks!!
I think he's still narcissistic and somewhat arrogant, he's just learned how to hide it better and keep it in check. He's still a great guitarist though.
Well yes, he single handedly created a highly influential genre of guitar playing, has sold millions of records during his lifetime, sold out stadiums in his 20s, and was arguably the most revered/feared guitarist during his prime. Hell, if I was a teenager and had that magical bona-fide rockstar combination, I'm sure it would have messed with my head a little bit, no less because the rockstar environment during the time leaned towards the excess anyway (just look at any 70s and 80s rockumentary). Even Steve Vai said somewhere that he was also young and arrogant to an extent at the time. He certainly looks like he's mellowed down a lot. No doubt deep inside he's a nice guy, and it really is nice to see him bring that out nowadays.
Man! Yngwie its a very carismatic guy! This interview its far one of the best that I ever seen... The questions are deep, even the chemistry between Jonathan and Yngwie are amazing! And man the history of his father... Oh man, Amazing!! The entire interview its amazing! We need more of the maestro.. Well, more is more actually hahaha... Thanks for sharing this!
Great interview. I remember watching the Leningrad concert guitar solo when I bought the VHS in 1990: still remains, for me, one of the most astonishing uses of the electric guitar ever. Also, I love Yngwie's cover album, 'Inspiration'. Even the artwork is amazing: stormy night, ancient ruined Doric columned temple, and a rainbow!
Yngwie's new album is fantastic and aggressive, Yngwie is like a family member to me only much more influential, for 30 plus years my entire life had his music as a soundtrack, not to mention if it wasn't for Yngwie i'd never pick up a guitar i am certain of it. The interviewer looks and sounds like young Doogie White.

Great interview! Having been an Yngwie fan since the 80s I’m often bored hearing interviewers direct him to the same old stories and responses but this was refreshingly different. You’re obviously a big fan and found the perfect balance here. Loved your reference to the Inspiration album. Brilliant LP but one of the appeals to this is the amazing vocal contributions from the guests. Great interview, nice to hear a prepared interviewer asking a bit different that the usual things. Hope you get credits when Yngwie makes a classical record 😊
For a guy everyone says is arrogant and egocentric. He's far more interesting and interactive with the interviewer than most any other guitarists I've seen.
