That is truly stunning looking and sounding. The collector being made from a split pipe with wedges welded in was a nice mix of pipe+sheet metal work. Definitely convinced me to make my own uel turbo manifold. Bravo
This makes me want to make my own. Unfortunately I don't have a tig welder anymore. I really hope more companies start fabbing up uels for hondas, including uel turbo manifolds.
I don't know what to call them. I drew them up in cad (several steps from smallest to my desired inner size) then cut them out of 1/4" plate. After that I stacked them, welded around each "step", and finish shaped with a grinder.
Hey mate the sound is really aggressive and probably moreso than my stock ej20g wrx. I think this is because your headers are designed with a big difference in length, which therefore gives it a more pronounced “rumble” sound. Do you agree with this?
This isn't a performance design, the buyer wanted a particular sound. So packaging was the primary design concern. This still might make top-end power over the very restrictive North American stock header though.
Hi. Because there is not very much aftermarket support for B20A engines and headers. Is there information for pipe diameters for the discontinued DC sports header example ?? Just interested to make my own or taking another honda header and modify it to make it fit for B20A9.
OBX still makes a header that fits B20a/B21a, it's good for what it costs. I don't know the exact sizes the DC used but eyeballing it they look like 1.5" primary, 1.75" secondary, and 2.25" collector. Tube lengths and routing are close to the stock one.
Yes, but it would not be ideal. I would do lots of practice/tests to get the technique and amps right so you have good penetration. If you are using stainless you will also need to back purge.

That’s what I wanna do for my rsx
Man I wish I was knowledgeable enough to do this. I want to make it into a turbo manifold

I'd love to hear how it sounds
that's some bad ass welding skills
this is so awesome, can’t wait to install it!! thanks again
so how's it sound? this was for you?
Nice man looks great
Nice man, looks really good!
What ballpark should I expect to pay to have this service done? It would be for a jeep WK2 with the 3.6 pentastar v6 hehe
What a great choice of music! A refreshing experience compared to the million-and-a-half time lapse builds with stupid dance music
Very nice work. Do you have a website where you offer products for the 3g?
amazing !!!
Also, what is the diameter of the flange?
what diameter of pipings are used?
@153 what are those kind of dies called to press an circle into a square-ish shape

Where did you get the flange?
It was custom cut. You can contact 1funryd about them, or I think Foundry3 Studios could get you one as well.
What gauge tube did u use ?
16 gauge.

How does it sound? Can you please ask the owner to make a video? Thanks
Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/J5RHRaCCCc8/v-deo.html
Just wondering. How that is supposed to work properly ? Based on the firing order would it be better to connect 1-->4 and 2-->3 ??

@@Prelude3g so you make to order?

How much for you to make another one for a 90 lude ?
Not making any more parts at the moment.
Please notify me when you start back I want this type sound
Amazing top quality work as always.
Are those red straps multiple earths? Never seen that before
Those are just silicone hoses.
Would you be willing to make one for kseries for the right price ?
That looks awesome are you guys gonna be selling these?
No, this was just a one-off for someone.
Do you remember what you used to make it?
Can I do all this with a scratch start tig

Could I order one of these?
I'm not selling them.
If you ever do or start producing them, I’d be interested in buying some for my 89 si.
We need to hang out.
Make me a pair there’s no one selling them . 😢
