"I Love The Night"
That night her kiss told me it was over
I walked out late into the dark
The misty gloom seems to soak up my sorrow
The further I went on I felt a spreading calm
Then suddenly my eyes were bathed in a light
And the lovely lady in white was by my side
She said "Like me I see you're walking alone
Won't you please stay? " I couldn't look away
She said I love the night
The day is OK and the sun can be fun
But I live to see those rays slip away
I love the night
There's so much I can show and give to you
If you will welcome me tonight
If only you had been there my dear
We could have shared this together
No mortal was meant to know such wonder
One look in the mirror told me so
Come darkness I'll see her again
Yes I'm gonna go 'cause now I know
She said I love the night
The day is OK and the sun can be fun
But I live to see those rays slip away
I love the night
There's so much that I can show and give to you
If you will welcome me tonight
If only you had been there my dear

Oh I was hoping to go to that I’m in Seattle they’re great guys I got to meet them because of this!
It was a good show! Looks like their next gig will be clear across the country in NH, on the 29th. They'll be in Reno on Aug. 4 for Hot August Nights. They are even going to do a show in Honolulu on Dec. 4!
Cruising the Boulevard at Myrtle Beach back in the 80s with this Cassette playing in the Clarion at 3am but not too loud as the Two Seater had a Removable Top.
Man I've always loved this song. Cool video, too.
@@ColonelPanic007 🙏🤘
Love Albert and Joe on this one!
Amazing song! Takes me back to my teenage years.
My daughter and I were there front row in Kokomo Roger! What a great show and fun time it was! We have tickets now to see them in Valparaiso, In. on July 27! Rock on B.O.C. fans!!!!!
" I LOVE THE NIGHT " AND I JUST LOVE B.Ö.C ........ GREAT SONG!!!!
Probably my favorite song by these guys. Yes, the video could've been better, it came out in 1977 I believe. I wasn't born til 1982.
Really love the chord progression.
The engineering alone is a solid 11. Always loved this tune. I saw them in Beaumont Texas around 1980 and it sounded better than any stereo could touch, everyone connected was a true crafts person, from the band to the roadies. It was magical! 👌🤍🤘😎🕊
Loved this over many years
Not to mention the line, "No mortal was meant to know such wonders"
Every time I hear this song played any where, this is the video that comes to mind. Perfectly done.
Wow, this takes me back in the day.
your cute
The video is a bit weird and like the other dude said its out of context, but man the song is great, BOC is awesome, they are the greatest band ever
I have always liked this song since I heard it in high-school
Great Tune.. The 70s were the best!
Blue Oyster Cult Rocks! Will be seeing them again in Kokomo, Indiana 4th of July.
My friend and I shot it for school with the permission of Blue Oyster Cult. I know the cowbell player. Thanks for the comments.
very cool !
What you saying you guys made this video?
That is the deepest, most historically accurate video I have ever seen for a song I've loved my whole life. subscribed
Well dang I’m honored that you’d say that. Thanks for stopping by ☺️
@@metaphoria3 The song came out in the 1970's on Spectres, I think '77, but young adults were listening to it in 1982-83 when I was a kid. It took me back to my childhood.
Are you serious? Historically accurate how? This has nothing to do with history, let alone the song.
@@CrowBoy-p7f I actually really like the simplistic, open ended symbolism. Better than today's videos which insist on making everything literal
I have loved this song for years!
