- This is a Basic Engineering (Q&A) video about "Where Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) is required as per Pressure in Firefighting System?" in Urdu/Hindi language. Here I have explained your question's answer about pressure valves of fire fighting system. It is basic learning information about the firefighting or water supply system. It is also important for HVAC/MEP technical staff. Here sharing my experience and knowledge that will be helpful for Engineers and Technical staff about this topic.
I have explained in detail, those are:
1. Fire Sprinkler
2. Fire Hose Station
3. Fire Hose Reel
4. Hose Connection
5. Pressure Reducing valve
6. Pressure Restricting valve
7. NFPA-13
8. NFPA-14
9. Fire Pump

@@TanweerAhmed pressure in main riser pipe line after PRV would be 12.1 bar I mean to say if pressure increases in day time if the pressure in riser pipe line before prv may be 15 bar so once pressure comes to the springer orifice after pvr what would be pressure 12.1 bar asper NFPA13 & once sprinkler brust the water showers as the same pressure of springer like max 1 to 3 bar correct ??
You have very good knowledge about Fire system keep it up thanks for giving me nice info - from 🇮🇳 india
If sprinkler burst then pressure to be reduced and then fire pump will run automatically to maintain set pressure of PRV.
Good guidelines
Thanks
Sir Ji please make separate video on Press Reducing Valve , Make types of PRV valves Design calculation....
Ok noted
So nice and good information sir . Please explain how we calculate pump size ?
Thanks...ok noted
Bht khoob osm.
Sir please make vedios on hydrants system for high rise building as per NFPA.
Ok noted
Good
Thanks
Dear Sir, greetings... Thanks for sparing your time and sharing the valuable knowledge. Further, kindly elaborate that since min pressure required at sprinkler head is 15 psi in light hazard, do we not have to install prv at every floor level in sprinkler main branch to maintain 15 psi at last sprinkler of every floor. You said that prv is required if pressure is more than 175 psi which sprinkler cannot handle. so prv is not required upto 175 psi, but keeping such a high pressure will give very high discharge from sprinkler as per Q=K*P^(1/2). This will empty the tank very quickly and not last for required duration. So do we require prv at evry floor in sprinkler branch line?? I hope i am able to explain my query properly. Pls clear my doubt on the same. Thanks in advance & god bless u for your service..
1st point: Sprinkler orifice or hole is small therefore flow of water to be 15psi or small up/down pressure as per K-factor.
2nd point: Sprinkler design pressure means max pressure, if water pressure increases then sprinkler burst or damaged automatically. Therefore 150 or 175 psi is max design pressure limit.
Question which i understand from above person if there is 100 psi pressure in pipe line .is we required to install PRV or not? If not then why?
Thanks a lot sir , greatly explained
Welcome
Nice Tanveer brother.
Thanks
Assalamualaikum ❤️ sir pump room pe ek video banaye
W.Salam,
Already video available
Assalam alaikum Sir, please make video for fire pump start and stop pressure.
My video is available
Go ahead
Thanks
Excelent Sir
Can u prepare a vedieo on FM 200 system design, installation and operation.
How it will integrate with BMS and Fire Alram System.
Thanks and noted about FM-200
AOA sir ap ne Class 1 ka btaya k pressure 12 bar se zyada nhi hona chiye aur class 2 main 6.9 bar se zyada nhi hona chiye agar pressure range main hai to PRV ke zarorat nhi hai iss hisab ae class 3 main to hume definitely prv ke zarorat hai. Am I right?
Yes right, for Hose reel /Hose rack need PRV
Could you please make a video on Fire Pump selection? What GPM pump should be selected for which system? Thsnks in advance. God Bless.
Ok noted 😊
Nycs sir ji
Thanks
Tanweer sir. Greetings. could you please make a video on water mist system designing
Thanks, yes I will upload video on mist system but it will take time

Sir, for a Complete city hydrant network project, what will be the pump capacity? Hydrant network may be of 30 km approx.
As i understand it should be 500 gpm considering 2 hydrant in operation at a time. Please suggest.
Sir i also want learn this. You are a good Explainer
Confirm later
Is there an english version of your successive trainings ?
No
Sir, I am facing one problem,
in our fire fighting system main line prv pressure suddenly come in zero when fire fighting system start on operation
What is the problem
Where are you inspection this pressure? When system start?
Plz make a video ul listed non UL listed and FM approval
Ok noted
Plz explain me what is non UL aproval
Ok
AoA sir hope u fine
Kum videos bana Rahay hain ajj kal....
Kindly confirm PRV stand pipe k sath weld hoTA HY yan flanged PRV hota HY aur pipe k dosray end par flange weld hoo gi.
Flange weld with pipe as per built-in prv flange size
W.salam, you are right, now a days, I am busy with other works.
Thanks , hope u will do something in BQ estimation Of MEP
insha'Allah
Plz sir fire fighting pump capacity kaise decide kare o batao na
I am working and learning about this. Will upload video, Insha'Allah
could you please make a video on fire fighting pump and what should be must cut off and cut in pressure of all fire fighting pump!
Kindly watch my video "Main components of firefighting pump Room" this detail is given

Sir hamre yha pressure kabhi badh rha hai kabhi kam hora hai ky reason hoga
Check your pressure transducers and its sensing pipelines
What should be the pressure at ground floor pump for a single story warehouse (high class category)
Below 15 m , wet sprinkler system please?
As per standard requirements min to max which is explained in video
Thanks!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Koi bhi ek example leke batao, head kaise calculate kare
I am working and also learning about it. Will upload soon video, Insha'Allah
Dear Engr
What is the maximum residual pressure for Class 1 hose connections? What i understood is for Max Static pressure of 12.1Bar requires PRV but is there anywhere telling about using prv to restrict maximum residual pressure for 21/2 hose connections.
Watch my standpipe pressure requirements video
How much pressure must be in the 50 hose to get 2.5 liters of water per second?
Check yourself and inform me
Why?
100 to 175 psi pressure for 65mm Dia hose pipe connection recommended by NFPA-14
Fire Fight aur Hvac Sy niklo Bhi Jan...MEP main aur buhat kuch hy valves par clip banatay Rahay tu hoo gya kam.
