Thanks a million. Was gonna bail on my favorite duck waders. Aquaseal rocks!
Works like a charm! Thanks for watching!
Happy to see it worked! 😄
Worked great! No leaks!
I “discovered” a hole high up last week! Spent the rest of the day with a cup and a half of water in my left boot, 🤢. I’m gonna give aquaseal a try before I pull the trigger on new waders, thanks Huntingpros!
No problem! Thanks for tuning in! I’ve done several Aquaseal patches on my current set of waders. All lasted!
awesome! great to see a repair instead of buying brand new, thanks!
Thanks for watching bud! 😀
Great tutorial, thanks for the information!
Thanks for watching 👀🙂
Oh thank god for this, now I can fix my waders!
Glad you enjoyed 😉
I used aqua seal on my wetsuits in the past. Not to keep the water out lol but it seals neoprene really good.
I used a popsicle stick to apply it.
Popsicle! That's a good idea! Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
I used window silicone before. It lasted a fly fishing season but then gave out again. I’d be interested to know if this will last for several years. Good video.
Yeah I've used similar products. From what I hear, Aquaseal is a superior product for neoprene. Thanks for watching!
Nice to know man. Thanks for the educational video.!!
No problem! Thanks for watching 👀🙂
Awesome vid!
Thanks!
Thank you sir!
Thanks for watching!
They actually make an aquaseal neo specifically for neoprene. I found it while I was looking into the fd that you used in this video. Thanks for the vid! I've gotta get mine fixed. Mine is just on the heel of the neoprene bootie so I'm hoping it'll withstand the friction from me walking
Thanks for the comment! Honestly, my Aquaseal FD patch job has lasted since I did it! Used dozens of times in both warm and subzero temps. Good as new!
@Huntingpros oh I wasnt saying you were wrong for using that by any means. Just had saw that they had a different product that's supposed to be specifically for that. I ordered the patch kit and the aquaseal so we'll see how it works. Glad to know yours is still holding strong. I use my waders quite a bit for fishing. Few times a week usually so I'm crossing my fingers that it holds up
I’ve got the same issue so I’ll try this out
It works great! My waders are holding up perfectly.
Yeah it's nice to know that this type of glue repels water and makes everything waterproof after fixing a small hole in the waiters. I have no problem sewing up something and making it look good. But you still have to put some type of high quality blue on it. That will make it so that water will not get inside your boot. That would really destroy your day thanks for the demo this was really helpful
Thanks for the response! It truly is a great product. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 👍
Glad I saw your video I was bout to go spend anotha $200 or so on some more waders gonna do this instead
Honestly, I’ve repaired mine 7 different times now. The Aquaseal fix has saved me season after season while ducking hunting. Never once has the Aquaseal application leaked on me. It actually creates a stronger product than the original neoprene.
I have install docks and boat lifts and remove them for winter for over 10 years now. Plus many other marine related construction. I use rtv silicone left over from automotive projects because it flexes well. I found black works the best. The blue don't hold up to muck amd lake water as well. Neoprene dries out and becomes prone to ripping. I buy waders new waders every spring. But first couple jobs I use last years waders. It does help to hose off nasty muck and lake water after jobs. And insides should be cleaned and sanitized. I feel in once and got swimmers itch. Had to throw away that pair of waders.
Wow thanks for the informative comment! I'll definitely try out RTV silicone sometime! Thanks for watching.
I use 5200 marine silicone. The only down side is it’s white but it sticks amazingly if the area is clean with brake cleaner. I got 4 years out of my waders boots after they started cracking.
That's awesome! I've heard about that stuff online. Where did you find it?
@@Huntingpros you can get the small tubes at Canadian tire in the boating section. I also use it on leaks on boats to. It comes in big tubes for a caulking gun for big jobs.
@@blackduckns7537 right on! Good to know! Thanks for sharing 😀
Wicked!
Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
Why didn’t you put a patch ?you might save seal cream and looks better . I believe they sale patches with it. Thanks 😊
I didn’t have a patch. I have been using this on a weekly basis with just the Aquaseal and it has help up tougher than the original product.
Why did you choose the FD over the Neo meant for neoprene?
It's what I had on hand and it works great as well on neoprene.
