This season was incredible. Character development, serialized storytelling, amazing fights. A freaking live action anime. The show went full Endgame at the end.
One thing that makes King-ohger so great is how ensemble it was. Never devoled into "Red ranger and everybody else" show. So many sentai shows from 2010s loved to called themself a team a make big speeches about friendship and teamwork but only Red does 90% of heavy lifting while everybody just watch from sidelines. Kingohger is one of the rare shows were everybody feels like a equal at the end. Truly a new standard.
This Season was phenomenal. Every Character was great, i was waiting for finally having an Insect theme Sentai, AND we had it. Dude what a shows.
One of the best seasons we've had in a long time, to the point I'm sad to see it go

After finishing the review, god I couldn’t agree more. While I am excited for the wackiness of BoonBoomger I have never been so upset at a toku show being over in my life. I’m not as big on tv shows compared to movies and games just because it’s difficult for me to sit down and watch an entire show and not get distracted with something else, but for Kingohger I was glued to my computer

Episode.
The fact that I wasn’t bored by a single episode and felt like it was all killer no filler just helped it so much for having me watch 10 episodes minimum every day this week.
I’ve already said in my other comment how much I love this show but I really just have to say it again, the suits, mechs, characters, villains, fights, THE DAMN ENDING JUST BEING AVENGERS ENDGAME!!!!
This show was peak in tokusatsu like I’ve never seen before, and I can confidently say my top 5 sentai are
1. King-Ohger
2. Shinkenger
3. Dekaranger
4. Kiramager
5. Lupat
And I’m so happy I woke up to see a notification for this review and was even happier to see it was 2 and a half hours. 10/10 show and review, god I want to watch this show again and I’m probably going to some point soon.
I'm gonna try my best to watch King Ohger despite the fact that when I initially watched it, I was kind of at a low place.

In terms of the aesthetics, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger has the best of them, the armor-cape-sword vibes (my personal favorite) to their suits, the bug visors, Spider Kumono's dressyness crossing with the Spider-Man vibes, the bug theme mechs with the 80's Transformers vibes, the badass slow-mo fight scenes, even Kawagata Ohger's power up form with the entirely gold armor with the added Kabuto horn like crown. Overall it's a new kind of King Arthur story with insect themed Sentai heroes who are empire rulers coming together to prevent war.

To you Marcus, I especially give you the crown Jacob for your best efforts as well. If only Matt was around and still podcasting along with both of you I'd give him a crown, too, his best efforts.
This is probably my favourite SentainSeries
King-Ohger was a fantastic show.
This season is the first to make me care about the mooks and make me feel actually bad about them
I was hesitant on Kingohger as it didn't seem like it was keeping up with the comedy like Zenkaiger and DonBros. But MAN was I wrong. I loved this show. I love the motif, I love the characters, the writing was on point. I hated Racles, but they did his redemption arc SO GOOD. Everything made sense instead of them just saying "Eh you're good now" everything was planned. God this show was great. Sentai is 3 for 3 so far. Kamen Rider on the other hand......
Zenkaiger never interested me and I’m on the fence (leaning towards yes) about Donbrothers, but King Ohger was the first post-Gokaiger Sentai that made me go, “I don’t care how. I am watching this.” So I found it, watched it, finished it a few days ago, and loved it all the way through. Even if the site I found it on only let me watch it in 480p, I didn’t care. The characters, the story, the action, that final attack on Dugded’s stupid head, all of it was wonderful. Phenomenal show. BoonBoomger has some massive shoes to fill and if the clips I saw of it are anything to go by…I’m worried. Very worried. I guess we’ll see what happens but regardless, King Ohger is a masterpiece, closest we’ve gotten to matching Jetman imo!
Edit: I just wanted to say that I have seen Donbrothers and BoonBoomger. I don’t really like Don Momotaro (he’s too OP and loud) but otherwise Donbrothers is pretty good. BoonBoomger actually wasn’t as silly as I thought it would be. I kind of like it!
BoonBoomger easily beat King-Ohger in its first episode. This series is not Super Sentai nor is it even in the top ten of best, but it is the worst.

But it’s your opinion and I certainly don’t want to disrespect you for a different opinion. I loved it, you didn’t and that’s totally fine.
I do hope you end up enjoying BoonBoomger though, cause I’m certainly excited to start watching it.
@@MaxStarScream personally king ohger 1st episode bring me back to watching sentai(last time i watch sentai was gokaiger) and now watching the 1st episode of boonboomger although still good it's nowhere as hype as king ohger. Again, my personal opinion
Let's not forget the fact that we had both geats and king-ohger at the same time. 2 amazing shows. Will probably never happen again.

King-ohger is my new favorite Sentai. It's so good from start to finish. 1 year ago when you guys did first impressions I said that Racles was my favorite character, and 1 year later Racles is still my favorite character. He's good as a villain and a hero. I like every character in this show from the heroes to the villains they're all great. I can't think of one character I disliked. All 7 of the King-ohgers had a great story, they all did a lot for the plot and they're all well acted, and I love how the final fight was just Dragon Ball Z lol. That was great, and Kamejim reminds me of Brajira from Goseiger. He's acts like he's working for the original villain but turns out to be a bigger threat than og villain was. But not as big of a threat as Brajira because Brajira was the main villain. Brajira is more like Dugded an almost undefeatable final/main villain. Everything in this show is just great honestly. This show is amazing 10/10 for me. I love this show!! I'm so sad that it ended. I just hope that Boonboomger is at least half as good as this. I could talk about King-ohger for hours it's so good. I hope in the King-ohger Vs Donbrothers movie we can finally get the 7 King-ohger roll call. That would be great. Anyway 10/10 and I hope Boonboomger is a good show!! Episode 1 was pretty decent. So I hope it continues that way and maybe get even better!!
Totally agree with you guys. We really see a progression in sentai (Im not keeping with other toku series so..) when It comes to character development and storyteling that is becoming even more a pleasure to watch. With King-Ohger we have all plus a very ambitious series on many aspects (theme, costume, visual effects, so many side characters) and it paid off big time. Heats off for the cast, producers and writer (that really wrote It all beginning to end). Im also ready for something for chill/ back to "basics" with BoonBoomger as long they keep It up with the good storyteling and characters development. Thats something that I hope sentai keeps It, no matter the theme, If is a serious, dramatic or comedy series. Specially that we are getting closer to 50th anniversary. King Ohger definelly proved that they can make a really bold 50th anniversary séries.
Before I lock into the video for a glorious 2 and a half hours, I’ll go ahead and say my thoughts.
I absolutely adore this show.
I’ve been watching tokusatsu for 13 years starting with Shinkenger which had continued to be my favorite sentai and toku for as long as I’ve been watching these shows, and I’ve always wondered if I’d ever watch a show either Sentai, rider, or ultraman that would ever top it.
And I can’t believe I’m about to say this but Kingohger has toped Shinkenger as my favorite Sentai and toku overall.
I will admit there is heavy recency bias cause I binged this entire show and the movie over the past week but as it stands right now, I think this show is fantastic and I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen this show to do so as soon as possible.
I'm trying to watch Jetman all the way to Kirameiger and I'm halfway through Megaranger at the moment.
I Love King-Ohger And It's The Best I Was All Over This Show From The First To The Last Episode And The Theme Song Woah.
As of writing this comment, I'm on episode 34. I haven't watched any toku outside of Geats since Zenkaiger because I got a bit bored with it and couldn't really appreciate it, and even Geats, I needed to rewatch it to fully appreciate.
To say that my flame was rekindled while watching King-Ohger would be an understatement. I don't think I've been that hyped for a sentai series ever since... fuck, ever since Shinkenger, back when I started watching Sentai in 2013/2014, or LuPat back when it was airing. Everything is top notch.
Sentai has really been on a role lately, Kiramager, Donbrothers, King-Ohger, even Zenkaiger which I thought was a stumble was still pretty good. Super Sentai is has a strong start in the Reiwa era.
Because of how much I loved Donbros I was very hesitant coming into Kingohger but very quickly both the show and team became one of my favourites in sentai I will say personally anytime the show focused on Yanma and the Nkosopa crew was the best he's definitely beaten out Ayase and Joe as my favourite blue in Sentai
Man i feel horrible for not catching up with super sentai. Hearing how great this is, ive been distant from the franchise since kiramaiger. Honestly its cuz either i have had so much distracting from adulting so much or recent seasons havent been thay much interest. But man i should def get back to it missing the hype and excitment as a fan of tokusatsu. So i can't wait to start watching this starting with this season after how long it is. So excited!!

Pre review thoughts: I think King Ohgher was a very very good show. I think all of the characters are good, although Black never really clicked for me personally. But the standouts were Yanma and Jeramie for me. Both brought so much life into their characters. I like the suits, Mecha, arsenal. The green screen is a little hit or miss for me personally, but I appreciate the changeup. But the plot and villains in this show are great! Dugded is a top 7 villain for me in sentai, but I do wish himeno and Grodie got a final battle of some sort. Great show overall. Top 7 Sentai for me

How I love being so funny
King-Ohger continued to disappoint me. My friend is rematching it to give it another chance, but he is finding it to be worse than the first time. Glad Boon Boombger shows promise. Never will I re-watch this abomination that they try to fit into Sentai. Also, Gira is now in my top ten worst reds next to Ban from Dekaranger and Lucky from Kyuranger.
