I'm currently wrapping up my 4th run in the 15 gallon bags that were part of the complete build a soil kit i got last year. Still in the same soil. I have done numerous chop and drops on each grow. Worms are thriving. On this my 4th run I have been using the Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 for bloom along with boosters of your flower nutrient mix. Also using the Alfalfa ferment with the molasses and the buds are bigger and more plentiful than ever.
Short answer to these questions: Yes you can overdo it on fulvic but not humic/humates. Fulvic when overused will cause twisting and contorting of new growth which will be noticeable. When it comes to stretching it’s part genetics and part environmental parameters: If you can keep your night time temps close to your day temperatures you can inhibit stretch to some degree.

That's cool, the ac unit with a humidifier is what I have for the first time and the ac keeps it at about 65 to 69 and the humidity fluctuates from 55 to 65 % depending on the day. It won't stay at 60 dammit
For the wine fridge, (it works I have one) look at bento boxes / square containers instead of jars. Also look for flat shelves instead of the bottle-racks. Better option than a wine fridge but I thought of it after I bought the first ;) Lots of fluctuation in a regular fridge because of constant opening/closing.
I appreciate the growing in small pots discussion because some folks like me who live in apartments just don't have the space to accommodate a large 15-30 gal pot. The biggest pot I can use is 7 gal, so I will be re-amending along the way and using the Eden veg and flower water soluble nutes.

Just discovered your channel. Great information. After 50 years, just started growing again this May. Using 7 gallon grow bags and a mix of organic potting and raised bed soil fortified with 1/4 cup of organic bone meal and Espoma Plant Tone 5-3-3 slow release organic fertilizer. I mix in 3 tablespoons of white vinegar per 1 gallon of my well water to adjust the PH from 7.2 to 6.8. I activate my soil with 3 tablespoons of organic llhydrolyzed fish emulsion and 1 tablespoon non sulfur molasses per gallon of water 2 weeks prior to planting. I then continue to use the fish emulsion up to the start of flowering. I then switch over to ground banana peels dissolved in water once a week. 2 weeks prior to harvest I flush with plain water. I have had decent results. I grow outdoors on my balcony with only 6 to 7 hours of direct sunlight and use autoflowers. What do you think? Any suggestions?
New grower, want to make the switch to true living soil. For a larger container like a 20 gallon how many medicinal plants would you plant per bed? Trying to keep a perpetual cycle, how important are cover crops for keeping the soil life thriving? Can cover crops replace or supplement the need for top dressing? Love your content learning a ton.
No till works better in plastic containers, from my experience, especially in a smaller container. You can also put a 5 gal fabric pot in a plastic trash bag and that will keep the moisture in the fabric and encourage the roots downward if you bottom feed by pouring into the bag and letting it soak into the fabric pot at the bottom.
Just my input. Been running no till for about a year now with autos and 3 gallon pots. Just top dressing with dry amendments and castings at the start of grow and about a month in then they're on autopilot. I don't even PH my 8.5 water and used it straight out the tap for a while (I use air stones in a bucket now to oxygenate the water). Happy growing!
I've been using a wine fridge for a few months now to dry my herb since I don't have a stable environment. With a fan blowing on an inkbird, I can keep the fridge at 62% humidity and 55F temps. I'm drying my second batch (3 plants in 7gal pots) in the wine fridge right now. Chopped and hanging! Cheers!
Bruh u the Boss...... I been sitting watching All ur videos.........I wanna say I've been watching grow videos for 4years ...... But no body have more knowledge than u.... Ur Teaching is un matching...... Please keep up the good work
Am I correct in inferring that, in a 5 gallon it’s less desirable to “no till” and just top dress/compost tea vs “re-amend” with additional inputs that have now been depleted from the last grow?
Att'a boy!! Keep being true to yourself, don't get to big for your own britches. Its awesome to see good people prevailing in this economy. Congrats on your success & thank you for the wholesome product. Stay blessed 🙏
Sorry to re hash the question again kinda .. I have a 4x4 and a plant count of 4 I can’t fit 4 30g fabric pots in a 4x4 tent would it be better to have a 3x3 bed in the middle and run 4 plants in the same soil or 4 x 7g tall fabric pots so I can fit 4 individual plants in there own pot Or I’ve been looking into earth boxes but can’t fit 4 in there either would 2 running 2 plants each be better trying to do organic in small containers is hard lol if anyone has any input would be much appreciated
i just ran 2 earthboxes in a 4x4 with 2 plants each worked very well, ive been thinking of getting a 3x3 bed myself i like the idea of having much more soil i believe 3 earthboxes will fit in a 4x4 also if you go that route but 2 does do the job
@@johng8290 good yield and quality then ? I really do like the way the earth boxes work think I’ll grab 2 and give it a shot 3 makes plant count weird here and as long as I can fill the space and have power left for flower time I’ll be super happy
@@trevorgreen5650 yeah great yield and quality i flipped to flower around 3-4 weeks after transplanting into the earthboxes from my cloner i wish i would have gone another week or so longer b4 flip to really crush it
I was rushing and accidentally put 100x times the amount of humic acid (raw powder/chunks) in a soil mix and didn't give it any time to settle/cook/whatever. It locked out nutrients (Fe 2+ & Ca 2+ I'm pretty sure) and my clones were sorta burning and failed to grow for 1-2weeks. Dunno if that's helpful.
If you know what you are doing you can do it, I had & have 5 gallon notill pots with no issues. You have to be on top of things for sure though. Easy to go wrong, it’s been a journey & lots of learning due to running the 5’s. I been using 10’s & up for the most part now. I only kept two 5’s gallon pots with plenty of cycles ran through them. I do no till in one gallons pots as well. Way harder to keep it going for sure but it’s possible 😎♻️
Thank you for all the knowledge. I like how you show us everything you do including the issues and mistakes and how to correct them. Season 4 should be 2 quadrants indica and 2 quadrants sativa, to highlight the timing of the different stages of flower between the two. That would be awesome. You would need a 8 week indica and a 12 week sativa. Just incase 8 turns 9 or 10weeks and you could adjust veg time so you don't undergrow indica or overgrow sativa. Then you can dry and enjoy the indica while the sativa still ripens for your headiest stash!!
Thank you so much for doing these videos on top of everything else you bring to the community! I can’t imagine shooting and editing these on top of running the store, and working on your own huge garden. I wish nothing but success to you and your team!

Humic acids and fulvic acids provide a number of physical, chemical, and biological benefits to plants and soil. These include increased plant nutrient uptake, increased root growth, and improved soil structure. Yes you do need humic acid for cation exchange it increases it of course you can do without it you can do without a lot of products I mean damn the plants grow on just water great video good detail
I'm on day 8 and now that half my moisture has left, I am dropping temperature and humidity for the remaining 4-5 days. I don't do this before 8 days due to risk of mold. To much water inside the buds in the beginning. From: 60°F To: 55°F Results: slows dry From: 60% To: 65% Results: slows transpiration
Awesome season guys. Love the content, it’s a huge help. So, for next season I have an idea/request. Grassroots has recently come out with a 1 gallon bottomless pot that you place on top of a bed once the roots have established. I’m about to flip my first run using them but am struggling to find any content about the how to of using them. Is there a chance that next season you can run a bed using these bottomless pots? Thanks again for all the content.
Im about to get a 5x5 tent and start using 5gal pots for 6 plants. Ive been watching the vids but still not sure what i need as for soil and soil amending after my run. From what im getting to start i need 3.0 recipe and craft blend with tea feedings. Can anyone let me know if im off?
Your grows are some of the best no till...and you constantly use research tools to improve on it. They're not the best grows I've seen, but you'll get there. Shame you don't ship to Canada.
Do you think a 10 gallon pot would be good enough to take a plant through its life from seed to harvest with a 6 week veg ( 2 week seedling / 4 week veg ) ?
Freezing the weed if it’s dine properly is just perfect to stack things for longer than 6month and keep everything perfect … you would be surprised how it’s working so great

Greatness as always BAS. On the next FAQ could you do a deep dive on seeds? Photo periods, Feminized, autos, hybrids, etc. Why do people not like feminized seeds and what's the difference from them? I did my first run with photos looking for the ONE but ended up with pollen sacks on all the bottom nugs and I kept clones from them and now I am scared to run them again because of the pollination and seeds I might end up with. Should I throw out the clones and start over with some marshmallow og and mount trop cookies and maybe beefcake d if I can find them. Also could you name some seeds that are stretchers or yielders or your favorite kinds to run? I get stuck looking through a million types of seeds and can never be confident that I am choosing the right pack. Thanks again for all you do and ALOHA

15 gallon pots!? I'm A fan of Buildasoil and I thank you for all the tutorials, but I don't think Jeremy really knows how out of touch he sounds to the average poor home/hobby/medical grower who barely scrapes by with a day job when saying they should use 15 gallon pots. For example, IL medical patients are allowed 5 plants. Just the cost of (15x5) 75 gallons of base soil for me with no amendments is going to be around (1.5 cubic foot Bag Foxfarm Ocean Forest @ roughly $21.99 = 11.22 Gallons of Soil. 7 Bags = 74.80 Gallons) $154 just for the base soil!! It was $32 for a 1cu. ft. bag of Buildasoil 3.0 from my local hydro store. If I used 15 gallon pots (1cu ft =7.48 gallons) I would have to buy 10 BAGS. That's $320 JUST FOR THE SOIL. I don't know any home/medical/hobby growers who have that kind of money.
Yeah, it's more of a method that's worth trying, but it's not for everyone. The thing that I do like about the Buildasoil mix is you can reuse the soil because it's all organic, I just put them in black trashcans, and let them sit in the sun for 6-12 months, add a little compost, and it's good to go.
You could do what i did, get the biggest fabric pot that fits in your space, get some promix or something like it from the store near you and spend your money on craft blend and a few red wigglers so you can start a worm bin and make your own soil
Its an investment to grow ur own meds. U can cheap it the fuck out or get quality products... or even mix ur own and save money but youll be paying in the labor.... 30 gals is where its at. Better then getting shitty sprayed medicine and paying outrageous prices. Maybe you should grow one or two plants if ur pockets cant afford jus sayin... you dont have to buy anything from b.a.s. u can literally find and make evrything urself lol stop being lazy nd get to work 😅😅😂😂
I'm running (4) 15 gal pots. 2 bags of promix filled all 4 about 80-85% full and still have about 1/3 of a bag left over. 2 bags of promix was a little over $100 here in IL. Didn't fill completely to leave space for topdressing/mulch
@@jb159 and apparently the nutrients, top dressing and multiple other things you would still need are free.
Outstanding
New grower, want to make the switch to true living soil. For a larger container like a 20 gallon how many medicinal plants would you plant per bed? Trying to keep a perpetual cycle, how important are cover crops for keeping the soil life thriving? Can cover crops replace or supplement the need for top dressing? Love your content learning a ton.
im growing in a 1 gallon pot 12/12 from seed and they are doing great!! about 3 weeks til they are done and straight gas
They're way beyond that, brah.
that smile talkin about next season we all know that feeling! love these keep up the great work!
Jeremy, you should try grove bags instead of your jars, it will save alot of space to allow for even more flower.
Top dressing is really easy . You can definitely do living soil in pots. No till doesn't really make sense in containers to me.
"I just smoke it fast", literally I woke the baby with the loudest guffaw 😭😭😭
I've been using a wine fridge for a few months now to dry my herb since I don't have a stable environment. With a fan blowing on an inkbird, I can keep the fridge at 62% humidity and 55F temps. I'm drying my second batch (3 plants in 7gal pots) in the wine fridge right now. Chopped and hanging! Cheers!
Bruh u the Boss...... I been sitting watching All ur videos.........I wanna say I've been watching grow videos for 4years ...... But no body have more knowledge than u.... Ur
Teaching is un matching...... Please keep up the good work
Ive maintained quality for over 2 years by keeping the well dried and cured flower in a fridge….. I highly recommend it.
Thanks
Am I correct in inferring that, in a 5 gallon it’s less desirable to “no till” and just top dress/compost tea vs “re-amend” with additional inputs that have now been depleted from the last grow?
I hope the autoflower smoke isn't just good but great! If it is would you consider having an entire quadrant to just autos?
Me too I'm about 2 or 3 weeks from harvesting my 1st autos I'm really hopeful
Would love if they devoted a whole quadrant to no till autos in different containers 10,15,20, and 30
For you guys who use Buildabloom, how often do you apply this product during end of flower 🌸?
We watch you from central KY hello everyone , BAS way !
Shout out from Lexington.

Always a good day when Jeremy and the buildasoil team uploads a video
If you know what you are doing you can do it, I had & have 5 gallon notill pots with no issues. You have to be on top of things for sure though. Easy to go wrong, it’s been a journey & lots of learning due to running the 5’s. I been using 10’s & up for the most part now. I only kept two 5’s gallon pots with plenty of cycles ran through them. I do no till in one gallons pots as well. Way harder to keep it going for sure but it’s possible 😎♻️
Would 15 gallon be big enough to take my plants from seed to harvest with a 6 week veg ?
One of your better faqs
Season 3, phenomenal, cant wait for season 4. Please, please, please do the indoor veggies. I grew tomatoes the BAS way outside this year and they were the best I ever ate, I cannot go back to grocery store tomatoes. I'm in 100%. I bought a bunch of stuff during the summersale and cannot wait to start my first BAS grow soon as the weather cools down.
Your channel is awesome!
Let's see a sog in a 4x4 bed. Idk why more pieple don't do that method. Barely any veg time. And my yeilds are better with sog.
Facts
Humic acids and fulvic acids provide a number of physical, chemical, and biological benefits to plants and soil. These include increased plant nutrient uptake, increased root growth, and improved soil structure. Yes you do need humic acid for cation exchange it increases it of course you can do without it you can do without a lot of products I mean damn the plants grow on just water great video good detail
I'm on day 8 and now that half my moisture has left, I am dropping temperature and humidity for the remaining 4-5 days. I don't do this before 8 days due to risk of mold. To much water inside the buds in the beginning.

Great questions n even great answers. Can never get enough of these.
I need to increase my tea application. Adding more nitrogen items
these are epic keep em coming! cannot wait for the smoke report on season 3. love those!
My order just shipped 😁 Thank you!!
Thank you for your advice,is OK to put seeds in the refrigerator
Im about to get a 5x5 tent and start using 5gal pots for 6 plants. Ive been watching the vids but still not sure what i need as for soil and soil amending after my run. From what im getting to start i need 3.0 recipe and craft blend with tea feedings. Can anyone let me know if im off?
Have been applying the information Ive learned from Jeremy and Gwen into my vegetable garden outside. It works! Great people, great channel!
Good Information, Thanks
Your grows are some of the best no till...and you constantly use research tools to improve on it. They're not the best grows I've seen, but you'll get there. Shame you don't ship to Canada.
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question, I greatly appreciate you guys! Can't wait for the smoke report video :D
Thanks for the FAQ. I love these. Can’t wait to see the smoke report. A total loyal to the soil fan. DB da OG 😊
What do you think about Leighton Morrison’s method of bio mimicry with different horizons in a pot?
Do you think a 10 gallon pot would be good enough to take a plant through its life from seed to harvest with a 6 week veg ( 2 week seedling / 4 week veg ) ?
I grow in ten gallon pots from may to October they can get as big as 8' one plants 14 oz bud if you do it right in Michigan
@@alanweaver3284 thats great !
Did you have worms and mulch ?
Were you top dressing and how often ?
Freezing the weed if it’s dine properly is just perfect to stack things for longer than 6month and keep everything perfect … you would be surprised how it’s working so great
These series are the absolute best. Extremely informative and fun to watch. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for season 4! Would love to see some landraces in the future!
Cant wait for your next run
POT FARMER DANCE SONG %
I got out my pipe stuffed it with pot
You better believe it held a whole lot.
I whipped out a lighter thumbed up a flame
Sucked down that smoke which comforts my brain.
I tried alcohol smoked cigarettes
They did nothing but give me regrets.
My mom had arthritis could not walk around
I rolled her a joint she danced on the ground.
I thought I was losing my lovemaking knack
After I smoked some to me it came back.
Soon I decided prices were high
I searched for some ground I wouldn't have to buy.
I bargained for seeds from smokers all around
Got in my truck and drove out of town.
I walked through the woods where wild birds nest
Found me the meadow I thought was the best.
I dug up the ground sowed all my seeds
Said a small prayer for strong, healthy weeds.
I watered at night with a five-gallon pail
Mosquitoes went hungry for I wore a veil.
Seven months went by; I thought I would die
Till the Halloween moon was high in the sky.
At night I went out, in a camouflage suit
Used my corn knife to chop down the loot.
I hung it up to dry where it couldn’t be found.
Came back and got it, when it had turned brown.
I trimmed off the buds, stuffed them in bags
Called all my friends and passed out free drags.
In less than a week my crop was gone
I flew to St. Thomas with a love hungry blonde!!

I love the knowledge bro. I hope to as versed as you one day
Great episode
I use five to ten gallon pots and I use recycled soil or I use compost and my babies are very very healthy
Great video lots of good info
I've binged so many episodes of Build-a-Soil in the last week that I've had to watch this one on my phone, in my garden, hiding from my wife so she doesn't tease me any further about my man crush on Jeremy! 😄
LOVE LOVE The videos.... These videos are like my Zen time.... Just Me and The BuildASoil videos.... Keep up the great work!
You can overdo Humic acid imo. Fulvic is hard to overdo tho. Too much humic can clog the roots even tho it is chelating the nutes
Jeremy and Gwen,. Hello I hope this comment finds you doing well. Where is the farm update ?.I love everything you guys do for the community. You guys rock, Knowledge is power and I thank you for that. So how is the farm and the new pig ?.I wanna know how the farm is going?. It's amazing that season 3 is almost done where did the time go?. I have gained so much knowledge on how to do things the BAS way.I am excited to see season 4. Please keep teaching Jeremy we all appreciate that you are forthcoming with the knowledge. Best wishes to you and the whole BAS crew.
I got a question 🙋♂️
Build a bloom 2-10-5 , when to apply and how many times, whats in it , interested in purchasing this for the flower room in my notill setup !!
Thanks a lot in advance if you get to my question 🙏

Thanks again for all you do and ALOHA
i find a lot of the cultivars i run have some nanners show up on the bottom buds, always a good idea to clean up the bottom to prevent unwanted seeds
@@johng8290 hmm.... with regular seeds only?
@@dragoniousmaximus7304 i mostly run regs, i could be mistaken but i think ppl prefer them for breeding because they are more stable and also have males to be able to breed with , that being said ive run some really nice fems b4
Thank you for the video very informative
I keep my wine chiller or "Cannachiller" (trademark pending lol) at around 12°c (54f). I have found this to be the best temperature for long term storage, just don't leave the door open by accident :/ I put a few dessicated packs in for any condensation build up cos of this haha
Pigs and chickens can both feed on and turn compost
So basically you're just being an contrarian a-hole on behalf of the country club stoner crowd when nothing I said was wrong and my math was totally correct. Cool Red Herring bro. Glad you have enough money on to care.
Thank you so much for doing these videos, This is lit!
