What does the complete unit cost if you have someone do the 3d printing for you?
what is appxoimate cost of materials?
Ahah merci, lance toi !
I love it. I just bought my first mini cnc router, a Sainsmart Genmitsu 3018pro. I just installed limit switches and a z probe. I'd love to have a 3d printer to print parts like you did. I can see so much potential with this machine.
Thank you !
This is like a work of art to me. I admire the ingenuity and appreciate the amount of time that went into this. Thanks for sharing with us. I've already got leadscrews and aluminum extrusions ordered and on the way. As soon as the plans are released, my Prusa will be busy printing for days. Keep on creating!
Thank you for motivation !
HEY! Did u get around to making this cnc and if yes do you think its still a good option to start making it today?
@@ronreynolds5580 I did build it. It worked ok for me. The design was great but my mistake was trying to build it bigger than the plans and printed parts out of PETG. PETG was just a bit too flexible. PLA+ would be a better option. If I had made it smaller and printed parts from PLA it would have been a lot more solid. Not sure if it's still a good idea to build today because of the higher cost of parts and how hard it would be to source them. The designer of the machine was super helpful. Take a look at Sienci Labs -Longmill. That's what I ended up getting. Good luck!
So yeah... I just ordered the Creality Ender - 3 and bookmarked this page. Nice work!
Thank you !!
This looks amazing, looks way beter and maybe even more solid then some of the other budget cnc’s on the market. Thanks for sharing!

Bonjour
Très beau travail et belle réflexion bravo ! ;)
Hi there,
nice work. Thank you for all your efforts and work and for providing all the data.
A note about the X axis:
The rollers in the middle of the 3 rollers are of no use to you. On the contrary, they cause you additional problems. If the middle rollers are higher than left or right, then they either tilt left or right. 2 castors are better and are sufficient in terms of stability. You can see that later in the milling image.
I would use eccentric bushings (Aliexpress) to be able to adjust the rollers at the top and bottom without play in all axes. You can adjust this again and again depending on the wear on the castors. You can't do that with your liners.
You can also use M10 (or M14, which have a 2mm pitch) threaded spindle. They are cheaper, only you have to make the nuts yourself and change your design with regard to 3D prints.
I removed the Tr 8 spindle in the Z axis of my 3 printer (anet A6) and installed an M8 threaded spindle for it. I made the mother myself on the model of the Tr8, so that this fits 1: 1 in the picture. No more adjusting the Z-axis if you have to thread the filament in the extruder.
best regards
W. G.

I would like to have one like yours
Thank you very much !
Bonjour, alors là, alors là je suis bluffé. Quel boulot, quelle merveille! Waooow. 1000000000 pouces bleus
Merci beaucoup c'est motivant !
Absolutely brilliant! Very excited to see the STLs released and build one myself!
Excellent work!
Thank you !!
hey did you ever get around to building this and do you think its a good idea to start building it today?
Any possibility to see this 3d printed cnc parts upgrades to aluminium parts made by this machine itself :)
Hi !! In this project it is seen that there is a significant investment of hours, both in assembly and installation, as well as in printing parts, not to mention the money invested in aluminum profiles and others. but more satisfying is seeing that everything works perfectly after spending so much time and effort. Good job friend..👌🏻😉
Cool alors, vraiment propre ton boulot ! Merci de le partager !
Excellent Work!!! I am building your previous CNC, modified to work with laser, pen and cutter.... I am waiting for this heavy to build my real cnc !!! Your work is Amazing!!!

Astonishing project! Great engineering and beautiful, neat design! Thank you for sharing!

@@createforcuriosity225 What is your website? This is a Life goal project now! VERY good work!
Thanks :)
This is createforcuriosity.com
Amazing job , starting for ideas, designs, handwork and assembly.
Thank you !!

Can you provide the link for the cutting tool bit and the 3d flange at 2:22? (extrusion v-slot cutting tool)
Very nice looking. I am looking forward to seeing some projects.
Thank you !!
It seems underpowered for that size. I'm sure you put a lot of time and effort into building and designing it, so, congrats!
Thanks !
It's not really underpowered actually, it works pretty well in various machining
Hi Creat for Curiosity, wich filament did you use to print the parts? Thx Gabriel
Hi, i used ICE Filament PLA from amazon :)
Were do i find the file for the Part we first see at 18:46? I Can not Seem to find it in the download package??
I cant wait to make the cnc and improve it, looks nice and rigid. Can I ask some questions ?
1 can you upload an English version.
2 how did you cut v slot in your 2040 aluminum extrusion in the horizontal side.
Thnaks !
You have english subtitle and an article on my website ^^
I cut v slot the same way with a makita mount that you can find on thingiverse ^^
@@createforcuriosity225 Thanks for replying fast. When you are going to upload the files in thingiverse

Waow, quel boulot, j'adore !!! bravo vraiment !
First i would like to congratulate your project, in my opinion the best DIY CNC ive seen till now. I would like to ask, what do you think, would be possible to add a CO2 laser to this same CNC so i would become a 2 in 1 CNC mill and laser cuter?
Thanks !
I think its possible to do a 2 in 1 CNC with a laser diode, but will be difficult with a CO2 laser
my carpel tunnel hurts just watching all that assembly.
Ahah
I am new to CNC and have been watching videos for weeks everyone saying their machine is best, and then charging $2k for it. I was getting discouraged but then I found your video and I watched the whole thing with excitement! I am so looking forward to building your machine but what should I NOT print if I'm waiting for the Nema23 version? Thanks for your Awesome video and what a great job!!!
Thanks !
It's a good question, I will made a page on my website to know what is common between nema17 and nema23 version
I built a mpcnc. Now i have seen this machine and i am impressed. That is my next projekt. The parts from my mpcnc become recycled in this cnc machine.
Excellent job !!! Very well designed and engineered. It's a monster Mostly Printed CNC. Thumb Up. :-)
Thank you ahah
Brillant work. But I have problems to get the trapezoidal screw T8 with 1500 mm. Were you get them?
Thanks ! I got it on aliexpress :)
It is not much better to cast all the parts in aluminium ?better stability?
Yes it is but I upgrade it little by little
Great build! I like the 6x3 C Beam extrusion idea, although it's unfortunate you can't utilize the space inside for a cable chain or linear drive system.
Awsome build. But now the question. Within 1 month I will be assembling the smaller model, could this carriage be assembled in that model? It seems more sturdy and more good looking. Thank you for sharing your files.
magnifique travail !! tout mon respect

Fantastic design, congratulations
Thank you !!
Is there an STL for the router jig to cut the V tracks in the aluminum extrusions?
Could you please show how you made v-groove on 40mm side of 20x40 aluminum extrusion? For 20mm side you have a jig which you can center with tape...
On 40mm side too, I have a thingiverse page for it
Looks nice and robust. If love to see your review video of this build, not just the build itself.
What was the size of your extrusions and cutting area?
How much weight/pressure does it take to make it flex?
Will you also be posting you bill of materials?
I will post this as soon as possible
Nice and Clean build. Great Job !!!
Thanks !!
You are getting really good at this. Wonderful build. I wonder if additional horizontal V slot wheels on the X axis (perpendicular to the wheels on top) would increase or decrease stiffness.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you !!
Do you think building something like this using linear bearings + ballscrews would improve it?
What kind of torque do you put into the screws on the printed parts?
The best design ever. How much plastic did it used up and what material?
thanks ! I used something like 5kg of PLA !
Did you try to machining the aluminium? Is this CNC has enough power to milling the aluminium?
Yes and it works pretty well ^^
@@createforcuriosity225 I noticed that you planned insert Nema 23 instead Nema17. But 23 has 6 wires, and 17 has only 4 wires. Is there will no troubles to connect to the drivers? And how to connect. You inspired me, and I'm going to build my CNC, according to your informations. But my working field would be 1000x1000x300. The CNC would be milling generally in ABS or in aluminium, and I wonder is Nema 17 has enough torque.
Do all the parts have to be re-printed or can you use some of the parts from nema 17 version?
How will you manage to clean the dust that's going to sit on the top, just on the bearings way?
I have a dust collector that i dont show in video, but you can see it in my previous TopsCNC vidéo
I'm wondering why would you use 5 2040 extrusions for the gantry instead of say one 20100 or even 2080 and two 2040. I might be wrong, but it seems to me that one wider extrusion would be stiffer than several narrower ones. And why did you choose to machine slots into extrusions instead of just buying extrusions with v-slot profiles? Is there some practical reason, other than arbitrary choice?
Oh and thanks for sharing. Great vid ;)
What adjustments did you have to make to the printed anti-backlash nut for the t8 lead screws? I'm mid assembly on my version of this project and these parts are so tight I can barely thread the t8 leads by hand. Advise?
Conseiller?
