That's because some cities have local ordinances to cut down on that stuff being in trash and landfills. If customers want them stores have to charge that. Where I live it's part of the ordinance.
I used to watch this show all the time...for entertainment, not reality. Most fake, staged restaurant show there was and I loved it for that reason. Haha
In Alberta the whole province is charging extra for paper bags……we’ve eliminated plastic bags cause it takes hundreds of years to break down in landfills….so you either bring your own bag or pay a small fee if you should pull up to a drive through restaurant or anywhere else(grocery, retail, convenience. etc.etc)
We pay 40 cents for a paper bag and 80 cents for a plastic bag & if we buy groceries we getting robbed by the government with extreme high prices. Even a bag of chips is 2,50. Groceries are to expensive to buy at 1 place in the Netherlands.
He got Hobbs fired for nothing since he also required her to charge 10 cents for a to go bag. Why do you think she said thanks for sticking up for me upon her leaving.
PETCO in West Palm Beach, Florida started charging customers 10 cents per bag @ check out. How CHEAP is that? That's why now I shop @ PETSMART because they don't charge for bags.
I would be concerned with the fact that if someone is disabled and needed more napkins that would be bad not only because that person is most likely on a low fixed income but yet if something spilled on their mobility device and if they don't have enough to clean it up that could result in a medical device to be damaged because the person would be afraid to ask because they don't have the money to purchase more napkins. With that stane, I would have gone back and grabbed one of the washcloths with some warm soapy water left it out, and let the guy use that instead.
This looks like a setup for tv.
agree.. seems to me too... all acting..
Ive worked on tv and movie sets, believe me every single thing you see is scripted, planned and constructed.
I love when the say teriyaki sauce is messy and next scene a customer spills sauce on his pants lol
He was right about the bags most local grocery stores in our area charge around 10-25 cents a bag.😂
That's because some cities have local ordinances to cut down on that stuff being in trash and landfills. If customers want them stores have to charge that. Where I live it's part of the ordinance.
Only for plastic bags. Paper here where I am is usually free

8:58 You really put my reputation in jeopardy. You gotta go you’re fired.
9:04 Thanks for sticking up for me.
4:10 The napkin incident.
4:53 Alberto just shut up.
This is the greatest show ever
This has got to be staged.
It is the acting is sooo bad 😂
It is. The events depicted happened but are reenacted for the show.
I used to watch this show all the time and this is real. I have seen worse stuff than this particular episode on others of this show.
Terrible acting
Nope
Hobbs should not have scammed customers. That's why she lost her job
4:21 i love that look on his face
They could at least get believable actors for this kind of thing
And the host is the worst of them. Stiff as a board, no personality.
10 cents a bag 😂😂
Can I have a cheese burger please?
Would you like it in a bun?
What?
That's a dollar extra
I think it’s reenactment based on the real stories of the restaurants
This show has been on for a long time... I used to like watching it...
Imagine Alberto charges for the bun meat and veggies for a burger

They are both pocketing extra money into their pockets.
If someone at drive through suggest paying it forward, de cline and cancel your order!
And call the CIA and FBI

When you come back we going to have a long talk sure what about your fired and calling cops on them 😂😂😂😢😅
They charge for paper, plastic and cloth here..
Is this completely staged?
It's real.
Yes, the fired employees are actors hired by the show.
Likely
Thats funny......in Washington you have to pay for bags by law
😂😂😂 this gotta be a skit
Connecticut they were charging everywhere for bags
We have to pay for plastic bags and paper where i live
But it's only like 8 cents
The world now charges 10 cent actually 25 cent per bag 😂😂😂
She a thief.
Thats the bottom line.
Alberto should not be scarring off customers. Alberto is lucky that he did not lose his job
He got Hobbs fired for nothing since he also required her to charge 10 cents for a to go bag. Why do you think she said thanks for sticking up for me upon her leaving.
Seems to be really staged!
Hobbs name sounds like fast furious name
PETCO in West Palm Beach, Florida started charging customers 10 cents per bag @ check out. How CHEAP is that? That's why now I shop @ PETSMART because they don't charge for bags.
Best advice buy cloth bags best thing ever plus you can put 4-5 plastic bags worth of groceries into 1 cloth one
What do you expect your paying them next to nothing ❤❤😂❤
Now charging for bags is law in a lot of states. Alberto was ahead of his time.
This same episode is on the food network channel also. How could they show this bad be on 2 UA-cam channels
10 cents for napkins is ridiculous, 10cents for a to get bags is outrageous
Actually 25 cents for a napkin
I'll just use my shirt as the bag and napkins
This is normal in Holland.

I'd like a Burrito please
Would you like it wrapped?
What?
That's 2 dollars extra
Customers keep businesses running
Most companies would have fired Hobbs and Alberto for those actions. Otherwise the restaurant loses their integrity with it's customer's.
This is so staged it's cringe.
Roberto don’t have a skill for customer service. He should have let go! He doesn’t have the skills
This is so staged it’s ridiculous 🥴🤣
