Saudi Arabia on the human rights council... nuf said.
It seems that it is necessary to repeat, the United Nations is comprised of representatives from the world's nations. 79% of those "secret" ballots cast by the world's nations placed Saudi Arabia on the Human Rights Council (See"General Assembly, by Secret Ballot, Elects 14 Member States to Serve Three-year Terms on Human Rights Council" [www.un.org/press/en/2016/ga11848.doc.htm]).
They feed the poor
@@mr_coffee9917 Do you know what human rights are??? Average internet user today they've all got an IQ -50
The UN is a failed institution, this cannot be argued. Dear Natalie, appeal to emotion has never been a valid argument!
watching this now after what has happened in Ukraine and The UN basically doing the equivalent of wagging their finger at Russia; this did not age well
They only have the power given to them by their member states. If you want them to have the power to deal with wars, you have to give them the ability to.
@@TomBomba So they can do nothing to stop war from starting and then do nothing to stop it. Great organization. Tell me what the UN is doing with China and Russia still in the UN council ??? Nah, it's just a lobbyist organisation for dictators, scrap it and send all the soy people home to get real jobs !
@@terjehansen0101 again the UN isn’t some higher authority it can only do what the nations allow it to do. Powerless, but I’d argue still useful to getting some humanitarian work done.
@@TomBomba The UN has the task to "uphold international safety and peace". It DOES picture itself as THE authority and there is no excuse for what is happening. Also countries can circumvent democratic rules purely by VETO or gather votes to overrule basically anything. There are NO consequenses OR enforcement and that's why it actually stops peacemovements dead in their tracks. It works against freedom and democracy and focuses on feeding the ramifications of corrupt regimes via UN money by rebuilding what dictators destroy.
@@TomBomba It's really like an abusive relationship where one is fooled to think there is no alternative and "this is all we got". The deconstruction of this word salad producing (spamming) organization is in fact a step forward to actually getting some work done. As it is now, the UN act as nothing but apologists which is the opposite of creating a better world, or even just an OK world and feels deeply unnatural.
You are such a Pally propaganda machine. It's frightening....
naw...young...hopeful...determined...naive
Very naive, but as the Useless Nations creeps closer to full breach of it's Charter.
I guess she is wrong
this aged like milk 🥛
LOL"the UN is a moral voice..a peacemaker."..How much did she get paid off to speak that fictitious garbage?....
its her job innit
Great calm performance. No need for anger during your speeches. Please, spread your thoughtful ideas but keep your negatively to yourself and your circle.
This is not how you conduct a discussion. "Only positive comments are allowed". Jeez. Are the people of Syria included in your safespace ? No. because they live in the REAL WORLD.
She is typically saying a lot but saying nothing!
the usa & russia do not need or use the UN to help them with their difficulties, NATO is far more useful, likewise the EU.
In Not falling but lot and lot of evidence. Of Failure.
Blah blah blah blah blah. Young know nothing.
Much said about nothing really to be frank!
heres my donation slpa on ur fcae, and btw how much did ya g????
Does the UN need any member state/ Does it need USA? Russia? Can't it continue to do it's good works with the Saudi s? Sudan? pakistan? Good luck.
Dick Varga Good works?? Are you insane?
@@renasmile sarcasm is beyond you, obviously. Tongue-in-cheek. Consider the 3 nations I mentioned and their records for doing "good works".
nothing to point full speech is crap nothing but can be used as advertisement only
*She seems from Sri Lanka and It seems she is biased because peacekeepers from her country were responsible for unthinkable deeds.
People are so used to dumb rhetoric and lies, that when there is a calm and sincere voice trying to explain in a pragmatic manner,it is not digested easily. P.s: Natalie, you were very eloquent.
You sound like a russian bot. Ever thought of that ? Oh, they PRAISE "calmness" and being "rational". And how did this topc age in your opinion ?
She is saying facts
Well said, Natalie!
Best speaker of the debate!
You probably didn't watch the full debate. I think you should. She wasn't even close to being a good one.
Couldn’t listen to this moron! Feeding so many people - for what? To an ever greater number of poor people who have less and less resources because of the population pressure?
And who, silly young woman = who finds the UN? A breakdown in this please
