@@BristolRE Every year in recent years, most of my family meets up for a curry on Christmas Eve in Chingford as most of them stay nearby, whilst I have to get the bus back to Waltham Cross and then walk the last bit to Cheshunt. Amazes me how quiet somewhere like Angel Corner in Edmonton gets on the way back but seemingly the same high number of buses on the road. Always a pleasant peaceful ride back. Must be an easy shift for anyone who has to do end of service on Christmas Eve, the roads are very quiet which must be nice to usual. Also a random bit of trivia, 2 places in Britain have a Christmas Day bus service, Isle of Wight and Edinburgh!
@@BristolRE Yeah for sure, it's quite a thing to experience. Used the 444 and 217 last night, didn't seem to really pick anyone at all. Barely a dozen people on it. Probably why the commercial routes end so much earlier, weirdly the last non-TFL route out of WX wasn't the 310 but the 13 at 7:45pm! I think it's a good thing though that a transport system can accommodate even small numbers of people who want or need to travel. It must be good for social and economic reasons.
@@aaronsmith9209 It should never be about profits, it should always be about providing a service, which is why I am against privatisation, because privatised companies have to make a profit and satisfy their shareholders etc
As I have said before Peter thank you for taking the time to make and post the video.
Much appreciated.
Happy Christmas to everyone.
Thanks, and you're welcome
Merry Christmas

@@jf4950 Thanks
Merry Christmas to you and all the bus drivers who keep London moving, even at 11:30pm on Christmas Eve, the bus was easy to catch. Just impressive.
Thanks, even when the trains and tubes stop, we keep going lol

@@aaronsmith9209 Years ago Christmas Eve would be totally dead on the roads / passengers after about 1800
