RME Audio interfaces not only provide you with a professional digital audio interface, but also with a unique software tool: DigiCheck, for metering, testing, measuring and analyzing digital audio streams.
With the latest introduction of Metal API and a full transition of 64 Bit for macOS, DigiCheck’s codebase needed some refinements. Instead of doing minor improvements, we took the chance and did a complete overhaul with great new features.

I think it would have to be rewritten in DirectX or OpenGL API to work on Windows. May take some time, but I also hope they release an overhaul for Windows! Scalable UI would be a welcome addition!

Yeah I'm jealous asf how Mac graphics looks so good lol. We need an upgrade on our graphics.
I was so impressed already and now seeing it in its entirely looks so great. Installed it and I already entered into a new dimension of being impressed by the modifications I was really looking for. Loving the dark theme and smoothness. As I work late nights. Thank you for the update!

Well done. I really like that you support your old interfaces. That is one of the reason I have now two working Firefaces 802 and UCX II.
I can run them simultaneously without problems. What I like also is that you support old and new operating systems.
Will you have this new version for windows as well. Or do we continue to use the old version?

Digicheck is the best, I've replace RME with other brand since my new mobo does not have the slot for my old HDSP. I'm eyeing on used RME's digicheck compatible with better and affordable price. Hope soon will be back working with Digicheck.

DIGICheck NG became a necessity because of 64 Bit on macOS. DIGICheck on Windows is still compatible.
@@RMEAudio So no plans for an updated DIGICheck on Windows?
Not that it's necessary, but the updated graphics look much more up-to-date.
@@error8418 also resize and small refinement would be welcome but, hey, Windows users don't need it. They're stuck in the nineties, when music can be done only if you are an Apple user. Very disappointed.
@@Onoa ironically one request from a commentator above for this new mac version is to change the VU colors. Go figure..
Will this tell me what sample rate and bit depth audio is playing back at?
I use a program called ‘informer’ for this purpose but would be so handy if the feature was included in digicheck.
iTunes on PC doesn’t support streaming anything above 48khz in windows. I even installed the android app software I order to install the android Apple Music app on windows and it still was only playing back at 48khz even though it said it was playing hi res lossless.
informer was the only way I found out the sample rate of what was playing.
Does it also give you readouts in lufs? I use izotope informer for this purpose but would love an all in one solution.
Would also be cool if it had ‘loudness penalty’ features showing how much the different streaming services are turning you down.
Do you have any interfaces for Atmos that allow you to do trinnov type speaker timing adjustments?
@rmeaudio there is a way to change colors on the warning etc? I was using different color for warning on the meter and also different color on the analyzer, now with the ng 0.90. I can’t find a way to change colors 🤷🏻♂️😬

Fantastic! Always great news from RME! But... do you have any idea about when the FIREFACE UFX+ will be available? I ordered it more than a year ago (february 2021)... and I am still waiting for some news!

who did you order it from? I received My UFX+ two weeks ago, I ordered from Sweetwater in December. so RME is still putting them out.
@David E when you said they are still putting them out, did you mean they're planning not to anytime soon? I just got mine and worry that I may have purchased an item that will be discounted soon.
@@jackc8120 I have no idea when they will discontinue them. I do know that there is nothing out in that price point that’s does what it does. Sweetwater raised the price $100 around beginning of year, might be because of inflation. It’s a great unit I’ll be using it for many years. I don’t see how it could ne massively improved enough for me to need to replace it anytime soon.
How can I show that little EQ on the front display as indicated in this video on my UFX+ ?
Can those tools be used on a machine (Big Sur OSX) without an RME interface?

Having trouble getting this to detect audio on my 15' MBP - the Babyface Pro is actually not supported on the website so the older and newer are? (Babyface and Babyface Pro FS are listed!)
Babyface Pro is also supported. Have you read the macOS installation guide? www.rme-audio.de/rme-macos.html
@@RMEAudio yes I use my Babyface pro on big sur in Ableton and Reaper with no issues! Full routing working in total mix. Digi check doesn't detect any audio seemingly
@@CamiloRuizHD Babyface Pro does work with Digicheck NG. Please follow the instructions and make sure that you use the loopback function in TotalMix. Also make sure the "Microphone" is allowed in the privacy settings for Digicheck.
@@RMEAudio Got it working! Was actually just missing the step of setting the listening input in Digicheck to a new channel via right click... (Default was Mic 1 / 2) Thank you!!

This video says that DigiCheck NG can be downloaded from the website, but I can't really find it. I don't see it mentioned on the homepage (www.rme-audio.de/), or on the news page (www.rme-audio.de/news.html) or on the DigiCheck page (www.rme-audio.de/digicheck.html). On the downloads page (www.rme-audio.de/downloads.html) I also can't find it. Where is it? 🙂

@@RMEAudio Ah, there are two dropdown menus there. The first one lets me select my audio interface, but when I use that I don’t get to DigiCheck NG. But apparently I should skip that first dropdown menu and use the second dropdown menu. This is quite confusing.

Does digicheck work in Catalina?

Dont know why but on my Macbook Air M1 2020 Logic Pro in rosetta mode, i find the old digicheck worked fine for me, this NG why ever does not work.
RME Fireface UCX via USB runs super stable, just this Digicheck NG is unusable for me at the moment.
Only Apple... The favorite child is the smaller child (as always)
