Nah, people are still on that Wemby feeding frenzy. In fact, his cards have been blowing up over recently with ROY coming up, and especially with the release of the Panini Select boxes. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about on this subject.
There's a difference between crashing and a flooded market leveling out pricing. Wemby is still a buy.

This happens with most ultra modern stars when the market is flooded with a his cards that were just released. To say they will only go down in the future is ridiculously ignorant and laughable. Learn when to buy and learn when to sell, pretty easy.
BUYER BEWARE! 84 Star Jordan being pumped by several channels. Pump and dump. Don’t get caught up in it. The pop reports are going to expand quickly now that grading of Star has resumed. DONT GET BURNED
Yea that’s been going on for a little while. The 86 fleer is his true rookie in my opinion. The star is cool but the fleer is iconic.

All the market manipulators should be banned from UA-cam. If you comment otherwise on their videos (for example if you disagree and say that the 86 Fleer is the true RC) they will delete the comments and block people. They leave just a few. Complete fraud how they operate. They will buy, pump, dump and move onto the next thing while many are left with a huge loss.

Wemby cards are selling now what they should be selling for anyone bought his base prizm and graded it but the silver still selling high and he’s the real deal if he doesn’t get injured his cards will sky rocket again as they should
Pulled a wemby pink ice, kinda salty I could’ve sold it for 700 but I’m confident it’ll reach that again personally. Well aware of new product and player hype been through it before, this dude feels different though.
Wemby will win rookie of the year and maybe even defensive player of the year. Yes the base cards always come down but the numbered parallels should hold steady. His cards will go crazy again in September.

I think buying up Edwards and Maxery rookies 2 years ago was a brilliant move on my behalf.
Agreed that class is stacked, also got a lot of Hali and Melo. Maxey prices should be lil higher imo that kids solid.

LOL, That's what happens when they flood the market with him. Start low pop and slow and get that money and then do it again with more pop and more box's. Panini loves us and we are a stupid America for falling for all these high prices on box's. We are like Rats on crack trying to hustle and buy this stuff. I know I'm one of them but never the less its a gimmic to sale.
They will continue to dip since so many are still being ripped and fat packs haven’t even been released yet. However this will stabilize and then recover but all depends on his play next year

That last 79 o pee chee Gretzky psa 8 had bad registration and was pretty off center too to bottom. Not all 8s are equal.

@phillipreed6599 Pop won't let wemby play on a slightly sprained ankle. The spurs isn't the rockets, sending out their stars before they are fully healed.
Wemby also takes better care of himself than Yao and Sampson did.
@@SpinSatx if we revisit this in five years and he’s played all five years, I’ll give you your flowers. But history has shown that teenage joints, especially ankles, handle a 30-40 game schedule no problem, but the full NBA grind breaks them. I don’t think you are right, but I am hoping I am wrong

Instead of buying cards from your local sports card store , walmart walgreens target meijers etc , China has an endless amount of the sports cards and memo that America wants. How is possible in so many states not to find retail , but can easily order american made sports cards from China ?

Only reason Wemby cards are crashing atm on raw sales is because china reprints started surfacing but graded authentic cards are still at value imo
Wemby's aren't crashing. They're still hot, especially the new Panini Select's. Didn't know about the China repro's though.

You can still buy prizm retail for msrp, meaning wemby base and silvers still have a ways to fall. Once we get into the true off-season and optic is out, it'll be probably the best time you'll get to buy his prizm cards
psa 10 prizm Wemby comped less than $59 when it used to be $200 . All cards are dropping to less than $5 on ebay . All Era's cards basically comp for 1 to two dollars + shipping which proves value suppression in the hobby for decades .

Sellers on eBay are still asking like $150 for his base panini prizm card... BASE!!!! Only thing stopping wemby is injury. The kid is a winner, has the right mindset, the right attitude and is on the perfect team for him.
The odds of him failing, are low.

Wemby had a great rookie season and deserves recognition. The problem is the fact that there are so many Wemby cards out there. A lot of investors will regret buying so high early on. FOMO is real and I get it when a rookie shines like he has. He has a thin frame and the NBA is a league with many players that are much larger. The long schedule is grueling and many get injured every year. I hope he stays healthy and has a great career as he seems like a great young man. I have not purchased one Wemby card as I think the prices are absurd!
2022-23 Bowman’s Best University #51 Victor Wembanyama…. Currently has a gem rate of 4.6% for the base in PSA10 with over 1800 graded. Compared to the refractor gem rate @34%
I just sold a base Prizm Wemby for $125 CAD. lol. Wemby is literally the only rookie in all of sports right now worth investing in.
Nothing more than off season prices going down, happens to literally every card. Still a buy and if a dip continues, massive buy in opportunity

Yep. I like to collect some of the cards, but the fighters just don't sustain long enough in the spotlight to retain the value of the high points. There might be some staying power long-term on the retired goats...but even those, I'm not sure.
There are some many Wemby cards out there that I'm sure you'll be finding them in bargins bins for years to come.
I think Anthony Richardson will be hot at the national and heading into the season. His cards are way to cheap

how can you go wrong buying Wemby rookies with PSA 10 for $50? It might not be the big crazy cards, but the basics already rated are nice...you should be fine...now those Elly and Edwards cards...whoop whoop

Wemby will be a great player for sure! However we all know 2023 prizm was printed to the moon! If collectors can avoid the FOMO (I’m trying myself), I feel in a year or two these will be much less across all grades. Panini got lucky with this one! So much hype with wemby
Numbered cards will still hold because of the rookie aspect... base are base and who cares about those anyway.

Exactly pumping cards is not working for you guys it's going to backfire and you won't be able to run away with all your money people will remember stop pumping the cards come on geff be the first one to take stance things will be better and you can show everybody but you're a bigger man than they are with different ways to influence and for us to spend all of our money on something that's going to crash and pray because you said to get it invest invest so do the right thing be the first you got a great empire going on make a difference
Penix was crazy. But most crazy..? Packers trading up when a rod just won mvp and still has plenty of time to go was more crazy to me. And KC trading up and picking pat mahomes when Alex smith was playing as well as he had and Watson still being in the board was at the time crazier. But even crazier that dude is turning out the be the best player of his generation.

Why isnt the 1984 Star Michael Jordan 101 mentioned? The PSA 7 has sold 3 times in the last 2 weeks for $30,000+ (up from 22-25k in the last 3 months and 20k a year ago).

Market getting saturated with way to many products and inserts. Does not make sense that every player has 10 different cards in 1 brand. This is getting insane market prices will catch up and drop again like the 90's.
Plus with Panini false advertising items that you should get and get nothing. I opened up 4 boxes of nba prizm not 1 star card and 6 doubles. It's getting insane and Panini doesn't care.

99% of basketball cards are complete garbage. Other than a few goats, anyone who buys anything other than vintage goats or super rare inserts are just burning their money.
