Hi Dev! I won't say why (no spoilers) but having Karlach in your party at certain point of the story will highly increase your options to have the best and (as Neil said) most badass endings for Lae'zel (and may be for Dev'zel depending on your choices). That being said, I recommend doing Karlach's mission so you won't lose her. The mission is just pick one item and hand it to Dammon, so no big deal, no fights even. I'd also like to add that you were awesome in the portal battle, it was just bad luck that those archers had their dose of ranch before they started shooting at the portal. You really improved a lot. We're proud of you 😁
@Devora Wilde : Daredevil Proximity is an effect from Shadowheart's currently equipped gloves, making her NOT have disadvantage when she performs Ranged Attacks from too close... which means full-powered Guiding Bolts even when she's in melee ;)
I don't know what I find more funny in Dev's encounter with Malus: her horror or that she didn't even try to understand what his dialogue was about and was shocked when the nurses killed him.
OMG I'm watching this while playing my own game, and as I'm watching Dev freak out about Dev'zel and Gale having (really I know it's the platonic version but the looks they're giving each other are... not quite matching the vibe), I find Karlach. And Gale is the one to speak up. "She's a bit rough around the edges but I suppose I can be smooth enough for two." DYING.
Recently I’ve been missing a lot of the lives and it’s been a total bummer, so I’m really grateful these get uploaded to yt. Just makes the day better :)

so much chaos lol I LOVE it the mausoleum is a big one it has puzzles, lots of them, it has several fights, but you can avoid at least one with dice rolls 😎 your fav. it has good loot. and of course you get to solve the mystery of the nightsong that you have been hearing since act 1 :D I think that part of act 2 is fantastic and you'll hopefully enjoy it very much, and hype you up for the climax of act2 PS: not solving the shadow curse doesn't really matter for the story, I personally missed the opportunity to do it in my first play through, and it changed about ZERO things. besides it is a ghost town anyway nobody lives there anymore.
I know I'm rather late to this, but you can use druid shifting to became a small animal and go through cat holes and burrow holes. You can also use mage hand to go through, which can be useful for levers and such

But I've just seen the video where you were telling how some fans of BG3 wrote you about killing Lae`zel when they had a chance. and I want to tell you...People are always toxic and they do so to hurt others... I LOVE YOUR CHARACTER! She is honest and always says what she thinks, she does not play the role and does not try manipulate/ And I like it very much! I have never romanced Lae`zel but she is always is my best friend in my game. My tav is Fighter and Lea`zie is my best friend and sister-in-arm! And you are the best actor of this game! Thank you!
You've been given some slightly wrong intel when it comes to the mausoleum. Going in there does not stop you from being able to do other quests in act 2. You can do almost the entire mausoleum part before it locks you out, the game also tells you/warns you when you reach a point of no return, so you'd be perfectly fine doing the mausoleum part whenever you want.
Yeah, so playing this for the first time, Dev has absolutely no idea when the "point of no return" is. Which is why I suggested just not going into the mausoleum. You know this information because you've played the game already, and so do I 😉 There are also a lot of puzzles and fights that happen in the mausoleum which are, historically, things that Dev has struggled with, which is why I suggested waiting to do them.
when? it only gives you a slightly different narrator line when exiting act 2, and you dont get thaniel's buff in the end battle in act 3. there's no actual cut scenes for lifting the curse
Pleeease save Halsin, the battle is totally doable and he's good to have around for many reasons, including entertainment and polyamory. His personality really shifts in Baldur's Gate. Also you do get things out of having helped end the shadow curse.
