I love how you still worry about prices unlike some other youtubers! You still realize some of us don't get sent shit constantly and have to pay for things 😜
I'm SO glad that you finally spoke the truth about those palettes. I watch a few people that get PR from Natasha Denona, and they've all been raving that "It's so worth it, just splurge on it, you won't regret it! I got lucky and didn't have to pay for mine, but I would if I had to!" I feel like it's almost a disservice to your viewership to encourage that "treat yoself" mentality and almost urge them to buy such expensive products (unless your channel is clearly targeted towards high-luxury items and all you use/review is Chanel and the likes.) A treat for me is a MAC lipstick, not a $200 palette. I barely hear any reviews of these where the price point is put into perspective, and where the audience is being told that they don't NEED products this expensive. Very few people even touch on the fact that these are not your every day girl's makeup, and just because every "guru" has one doesn't mean you NEED one. So thanks for keeping that in mind, Sam. No disrespect to Natasha, I'm sure the palettes are pretty damn good. But I'll be happy to just admire the artistry and pretty palettes from afar for now, at that price point.
OhHiAndie actually when you do the math and consider the price of the shadows (each shadow in the palette is a full size single that you can also buy as a single), it really IS worth it. It's over $700 for 28 singles (70g total) or $239 for the palette (also 70g total). It's one of those things that if you do your research on the brand it's very apparent that the value is there for the product.
Finally a UA-camr who is truly honest about the Natasha Denona palettes! They are ridiculously expensive no matter how good they r! I will forever trust ur reviews! U quickly jumped to the top of my favorites!! 👍
agreed. It's always "they're expensive but they're worth it blah blah". Okay but there's way cheaper products that you rave about so how can you say ND is worth the obnoxious price ?
Karima McKimmie I just wanted to tell you that I am also a huge fan of your videos as well as Sam's. You are both so talented and just absolutely beautiful. I also trust both of you completely when it comes to giving an honest review and I just wanted to say thanks!
I've been following you since early Batalash days, and idk Sam...I love you. Thanks for staying humble and always making me feel like I'm a friend just chillin with you during your videos. I hope you never lose your candidness, it's what's kept me engaged and loving your videos for so long. Thank you!
Not sure I'd have the patience for sweating in a cramped showroom for Glossier. Small quarters with a lot of people terrifies me haha. I'm looking forward to a full UFO Oil Review! Great video 💕Thanks for being honest with us!
I feel like you're the Simon Cowell of makeup lol you're so hard on products, but we appreciate it because I feel like you're so honest. i can feel the honesty through my ears lol
Thank you for getting around to Sunday Riley products! I get as far as loading them into my Sephora cart and I never get the courage to click checkout because ouch. Yes, I'm a big kid with big kid bills and big kid responsibilities and I too want it to be wonderful and give you goddess skin and then it can be my hero too. Will be waiting for progress reports
I am honestly loving your more natural makeup lately girl, the look makes you look so beautiful as you literally glow and are for sure so much more comfortable with your own skin
I love everything about this - the beautiful plants in the background, your gorgeous wooden table, you look incredible especially the lipstick, and your eye makeup, blending goals, I love how salty you are about Glossier, me too (I'm in australia) and I love that you care about the prices! Thank you 🙌🏽 for all of this! 🙌🏽
Yes! Sunday Riley & Drunk Elephant completely changed my skin. I fought the wagon for a long time, trying cheaper stuff. After Christmas I bit the bullet, went all out with plans of returning what didn't impress me. Nothing got returned & I've already repurchased Drunk Elephant Framboos. I can only use Good Genes when I'm having dry moments bc I'm an oily beast. But AM I wash, go over with Biologique Recherche P50 (amazing product), combine C-Firma with the Ordinary Buffet & done. I don't use any cream moisture, breaks me out. PM I just do a little Luna, Framboos then Buffet for xtra moisture. I use to struggle finding foundations, getting them to look good on me. Now, unless it's just an oily nasty formula, I can slap on whatever. My skin looks 10x better than it ever did in my 20s.
ALSO a skin care line I've heard tons about on its own and in comparison with higher-end skincare lines is the Ordinary! Would you be able to do a review on some of their products? They're legit like $5 USD, it's insane
I enjoy the fact that you don't buy into everything that people try to sell to all of us. It helps so much as a viewer because sometimes it really feels like everyone on UA-cam is trying to sell us anything/everything.
One thing I can say I appreciate is that you still think like a regular consumer and not a big UA-camr that gets sent a bunch of stuff all the time. Constantly hyping up expensive af products doesn't really help us in the long run as most of us can't afford it or simply we don't need it.
That's so interesting about the Kylie KKW lippies, they all look really different on me but I've heard a ton of people didn't like them. I'm obsessed with them when blotted, they're my handbag lip products. I do wish they were more matte, like a hybrid between what they are mixed with the NYX matte lip cremes. Also, dat background is looking dayum cute.
I love videos like this, Sam! It's such a breath of fresh air, instead of "every brand and every product is the most amazing thing I've ever tried because I'm scared to piss anyone off to give my followers a real review". Love your no-b.s. ways.
Love how honest you are about skincare at Sephora - everyone raves about how good their skincare is constantly, and not a lot of people research what the ingredients are in the things that they are using
I feel like when I watch ur videos ur actually talking to me specifically and I don't feel like that with any other youtubers (at least none I can think of right now) and honestly I really appreciate that ur just so real and genuine
your beauty room is looking so great. can't wait til you add the artwork to the wall too! also so glad I'm not the only one that isn't all hyped up over the kylie products
The Luna and Good Genes have DRASTICALLY changed my skin, I am seriously amazed. I've been using it for about 7-8 months now and my skin looks better now than it did years ago. I was developing a wrinkle in my fore head and around my mouth (laugh lines) and they're almost completely gone. I also had a lot of bumps from scarring on my chin from years of cystic acne and I'm starting to notice a difference there, too. Worth every penny, especially since the product is seemingly going to last me a year.
Thank you for always being so honest and keeping true to your audience! you're my fave youtuber to watch just because I love how non-gimmicky you are and that I feel like I'm sitting down to just hang out with a friend and talk about beauty. you were also the sweetest person and so down to earth when I met you at osheaga last year at the nyx booth. anyways, short story over, keep doing you, much love ok byeeee
I adore you and your honesty about how so many products get rave reviews when they are really just hype! Your true talk is inspiring. Your the best! Would love to hear more about UFO as you use it! 💕
I was the EXACT same way with Sunday Riley! I use the UFO oil and Tidal at night and CEO in the morning and within a week a noticed a drastic change but I was so skeptical because I know how my skin is. It's been a month and a half and I can't even been to describe how happy I am with these products!
Love glossier and always will. Their products are amazing and I'm from Canada. I'm lucky enough to have a family member in the US where I can get products sent to me. But amazing and natural products.
Bioessence squalene oil is AMAZING, I have used all sorts of oils and nothing compares. I used to get Josie Marans argon oil, but squalene matches the oils that are produced by humans naturally. So pretty much after using it for a month breakouts rarely happen and old acne scars are fading. You would love it I swear.
I wonder if you like the YSL rouge valupte shine lip products, IMO they are exactly what you describe hydrating, glossy, and sheer color. Also I completely agree about skin care in Sephora, however I have found and come to love pretty much the entire Drunk Elephant line. I have/had problem skin too and the nighttime glycolic serum worked wonders.
I always trust your reviews/opinions on products because you come at it from such a professional point of view. I don't ever get the feeling that you recommend any product just for attention or a paycheck. Thanks for always being real.
Piece of Cake is literally my life. As a nurse I need something easy and low maintenance to keep in my pocket and it is just the prettiest. I'm on my third and it's almost out. Ordered a matte shaker to try and it should be coming today!
Samantha Ravndahl looks so beautiful! I live in Vancouver as well and I'm looking for the new shades of the butter blush, do you know which shoppers carries them? I love the formula and want to try the new shades! Canadian problems...
I really like the Darphin ideal resource line for my" adult acne". it helps with acne, texture and fine lines. it smells good too and I always feel fancy using it
So glad glossier ships to canada now because I ordered and fell in love!!! Tip for the cloud paint (if you don't already do this) : apply it as the last product before you set your face (I use a micro beauty blender) it is beeeaaautiful ahh
So my skin was not behaving a couple months back and i was struggling because I cannot for the life of me afford all this expensive Skincare and I thought well everything good i that expensive right? Not. I then entered the beautiful world of korean skincare where they manufacture 100 times better ingredient products for at least half the price. Check out Cosrx - their blemish line is great, but also ste snail musin essence helps calm inflammation along with all its 30 other benefits.
if I buy a 300$ something eye shadow palette that sh*t should change my eye color and make me see thru the dark
karennba lol right! Screw that. High key haha
karennba I agree. I better turn into supergirl for that much money
They better fix my eyesight so I don't need glasses anymore too
karennba A-fucking-men bitch preach
The shadows are amazing and it's a significant savings off the shadow for buying the palette vs buying 28 of her shadows at full price.
I love how you still worry about prices unlike some other youtubers! You still realize some of us don't get sent shit constantly and have to pay for things 😜
YESSS THIS. I agree
Keiawna Johnston yesssssss totally agree!!!!! Keeping it REAL!!!!
That's true but I would STILL want to know what a UA-camr thinks of an expensive product that I want but never can afford.😅
Can we talk about how gorgeous Sam looks in the thumbnail..... I mean....
Winter Meadows I know, right! She looks so fresh and glowy!!
Winter Meadows I know right! What's on her skin?
Artliker1234 is this where we point out, she covers that in the video?
Just teasing ya, have a good day!
+Artliker1234 I see u EVERYWHERE 😄
jill campanella ayyy you have good taste then
I'm SO glad that you finally spoke the truth about those palettes. I watch a few people that get PR from Natasha Denona, and they've all been raving that "It's so worth it, just splurge on it, you won't regret it! I got lucky and didn't have to pay for mine, but I would if I had to!"

OhHiAndie I have one of them and they are good but not life changing ! So thankfully she's honest about it !
Jordana Vargas honestly for me it's the palette I reach for the most. There isn't another palette in my collection that touches the quality.
Agreed. I'm saving for a viseart palette instead ☺️
agreed - ive heard they arent that great
THANK YOU for being honest about the ND palettes. the hype on them is gd insane
Finally a UA-camr who is truly honest about the Natasha Denona palettes! They are ridiculously expensive no matter how good they r! I will forever trust ur reviews! U quickly jumped to the top of my favorites!! 👍

I love the way you're doing your makeup lately.
same! a little more natural
Man, words can't describe how fucking much you've inspired me to go more natural with my makeup.
I'm becoming convinced that you and I are preference twins. 90% of your reviews read my mind 🤔
Karima McKimmie I just wanted to tell you that I am also a huge fan of your videos as well as Sam's. You are both so talented and just absolutely beautiful. I also trust both of you completely when it comes to giving an honest review and I just wanted to say thanks!
Karima McKimmie Two of my favourite UA-camrs!!!! ❤❤❤
I've been following you since early Batalash days, and idk Sam...I love you. Thanks for staying humble and always making me feel like I'm a friend just chillin with you during your videos. I freaking love you so damn much. You're so honest and humble. Thank you for being you.
I feel like you're the Simon Cowell of makeup lol you're so hard on products, but we appreciate it because I feel like you're so honest. i can feel the honesty through my ears lol
The shade you threw at Glossier made me LOL. Too bad I think the cloud paints are bomb.
The cloud paints really are money.
"you're sweating profusely...which is kind of the look they go for"
girll i love you 😩😂
Sunny D lmaoo that killed me
I rather buy 300$ worth of skin care rather than just one eyeshadow palette
I completely agree!

Olivia Jacobsen thats a review we need from you sam
LOVE the beauty room! Awesome to see makeup organization that's not just stark white. Way to be unique 😉
This background is so serene. I love it. And the white shirt with the blonde hair and light makeup. Perfection! So calming
You have got some nerve making me fall in love with a fucking $62 eyeshadow... shit.
Tina Marie it's some bougee ass shit. I bought it, never used it and returned it lol.
my skin has been so bad lately it's beyond frustrating! i'd be super interested to see a video from you on what products have helped your skin!
Your hair is always goals. You must spend a lot on your hair since you change it up so much. Props to whoever does it.
You look absolutely stunning in the video. All of those dewy products and just so incredible!!!!! I need that foundation! Thank you for this!
I love that you are a UA-camr that has the same shipping issues as the rest of us Canadians! I am pretty salty too...
I love your beauty room esthetic... everybody on UA-cam all seems to have the same white furniture and decor. Yours is so unique and I love it!
you're pretty much the only UA-camr who's reviews and recommendations I take seriously. You're transparent and don't fuck around, I dig it.
holy shit, sam, i think this is your best look..... keep the blonde! HOW can you get more stunning everytime, goddamn it
I enjoy the fact that you don't buy into everything that people try to sell to all of us. It helps so much as a viewer because sometimes it really feels like everyone on UA-cam is trying to sell us anything/everything.

Still loving your honesty! Always so straightforward and it enhances you beauty. I'm mesmerized by it. I agree with you about ND palettes. Insane
I loveee hearing your reviews on products, man. Makes me really want you to do an all time faves or must haves in each category 😭🙌
I would love to see how you work with the Tom Ford cream and powder eye shadow!! your makeup looks amazing!!
It's 1am in Scotland and for the first time I'm thankful for my insomnia.
Love how honest you are about skincare at Sephora - everyone raves about how good their skincare is constantly, and not a lot of people research what the ingredients are in the things that they are using
Thanks for keeping it so honest always!!! You're the best
Where are your brush holders from? They're gorgeous!!
I feel like when I watch ur videos ur actually talking to me specifically and I don't feel like that with any other youtubers (at least none I can think of right now) and honestly I really appreciate that ur just so real and genuine
You're such a refreshing youtuber to watch because of your honesty and genuine personality that comes through in your videos
Thank you!! Every video I saw about those Kim lipsticks all I could think was every color looked exactly the same!
Yes! Cool contour shades always make me look dead! No matter how lightly I go in and I've tried different ones too!
wow Sam you look flawless!! love that you keep it real when talking about products. might have to try the facial oil out myself.
I wish other you tubers were as raw and honest as you, they need to start taking notes. So much love for you.
"i'm just gonna see myself out. I'll take a couple days, but like I'll see you later." hahaha

Your skin looks SO SO good! Just thought you should know that it already has made such a great difference.
I absolutely love how you keep things so real and always give an honest opinion, never stop Sam, love ya!!

Love glossier and always will. Their products are amazing and I'm from Canada. I'm lucky enough to have a family member in the US where I can get products sent to me. But amazing and natural products.
I love how real you are and I truly respect that. Thanks for putting out amazing content!
I love how honest you are in your reviews. Interested to hear how the Sunday Riley products work out for you. Keep us posted!
Have you tried the Milk highlighter in Lit? It's dope af, not too sparkly pretty dewy and buildable!!
On my 20th bottle of Sunday Riley Good Genes. I love it! Bought UFO for my daughter. It really does make a difference.
Love your eyes in this video. Are you wearing the Tom Ford duo, and if so, in what color? Thanks so much. Love you and your channel!
I absolutely love your personality and sense of humor!!
yes please do a tutorial on the star palette I have it but dnt now what looks to do with it,, need some inspiration
hey Sam, what shadow is on your eyes? It makes the blue pop and i need that in my life! x
Taylor Rose Totally here for it 🙋🏼 it is GORGEOUS
Taylor Rose she replied to another comment that it's the Tom Ford bronze one. I agree it's gorgeous!
Legit she may have sold me on those Tom Ford shadows. O.o
OMG, that Glossier shopping experience reminds me of shopping in the former Yugoslavia in the 90s.
Your eyeshadow looks amazing! What are you wearing?
Kendra Quigley the tom ford bronze one!
Samantha Ravndahl looks so beautiful! I live in Vancouver as well and I'm looking for the new shades of the butter blush, do you know which shoppers carries them? I love the formula and want to try the new shades! Canadian problems...
Your skin is looking really good! Foundation routine = 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I really like the Darphin ideal resource line for my" adult acne". it helps with acne, texture and fine lines. it smells good too and I always feel fancy using it
Would love swatches of the matte juicy shakers
So glad glossier ships to canada now because I ordered and fell in love!!! Tip for the cloud paint (if you don't already do this) : apply it as the last product before you set your face (I use a micro beauty blender) it is beeeaaautiful ahh
I am 100% on the Sunday Riley band wagon! I started with good genes first also and quickly added UFO, Juno and flora to my collection! Love them all!
I love your natural look lately, you look so good!
Totally love your reviews on stuff! I love the hanging plants and vases on the background 😍😍
Literally the honesty in his video is what made me subscribe. Actual thumbs up girl I am impressed.

so I came here to learn about makeup and now I want to know where i can get those cool wall plants
Do you mix the UFO oil with your foundation? If so, does it change the longevity of your makeup?
I looove your makeup in this, so nice that you're embracing a more natural skin look. ❤️
