Hi. Do you think it would be possible to extend the wires that lead to the spark? I wonder if it would be possible to have the controller in my hand and the spark happen 1/2 meters away from me, if the wires were extended? Thank you.
Now that I know how to get it open I want to make a long extension tube for it so I can light the fireplace with it. I need it to be about 26" long total. Maybe brass hobby tube will work.

Do arch lighter burn out fast easy like stun guns do when fired in air to long?Stunguns are not designed to fire arck in air since it shorts things out.its designed to fire in your surface skin.I have fishing hooks on mine to ack like tazer that arch under your skin in your nerves than a usless dangerous unreliable stun guns that burns out at random time pluss surface stun do not hurt like tazees so you still dead after you stun and piss off the attack but I know this is a lighter video but I was curious if these burn out.I know that stunguns has 2 spark gaps some times third gap to touch skin.First spark gap is internal two plates or gas filled neon type spark gap to start the multilayer.

The mosfet idk but the ic might be a cheap chinese microcontroller or it could be a pwm driver chip
