Mucus in the throat is a very common problem people may face when they have recurring infections above. Invariably infections in the nose and the sinuses can give rise to the dripping into the throat which is called a post nasal drip and then you have mucous secretions coming into the throat. It can be thick sometimes copious and very irritating also giving rise to repeated bad breath. So identifying the cause for that is very important and treatment of the primary cause is essential. So if there is sinusitis it has to be treated and invariably identifying the cause for the sinusitis. It is as important as identifying the sinusitis. Sinusitis can be caused by different reasons. So it's important that you are properly evaluated by your local physician so that the identification of the disease and the cause for it is done so that the problem that you face as thick mucus in the throat is alleviated.
