Great food tour that I might try for myself. I live just over the mountain in TN and it looks like a road trip coming soon in my future. Thanks for the idea of these great little places. I love the mom and pop shops and like to support them when I can. We are loosing too many of them. Cheers!
Awesome video dude. Two places I would recommend in the Triad Piedmont area are: Hap's Grill in Salisbury and PB's Take-Out in Winston Salem. Now if you ever go down east, I have some additional gems. Keep up the great work documenting hole in the wall places that have great burgers.
@@Slash687 Not a total expert in Wilmington but P.T.'S Grille and Winnie's Tavern are pretty darn good. The Original Salt Works should be on the list too. Dairy Palace in Little Washington, a ways from Wilmington, is one of my favorites down east- if you are ready for a road trip and eat at a real hole in the wall. Enjoy!
That was definitely a large Philly in Winston- Salem. Not sure if worth 15 bucks but wasn't skimpy. Dig the planes crossing the street........ The scene with the doggy is awesome !
It's not there anymore, they leveled it and are supposed to rebuild I guess. They did put one in Smyrna about 25 miles east of Morehead, but it is run out of a couple of enclosed pull behind trailers. Everything is cooked in microwaves and little toaster ovens. Never understood what people saw in El's food......it's horrible, and the one in Smyrna is horrible x2!! If you want a good burger near Morehead City, go to No Name Pizza in Beaufort.

@gregwillis7767 I guess the "martini" class ( whatever TF that is supposed to mean )is getting a little tipsy then. If you want to spend the outrageous prices they want for food cooked in a microwave and toaster ovens, be my guest. Putting El's at the highest level of burgers in Morehead, above places like No Name and others (I would eat McDonald's before Els) is delusional....and I think you need to lay off the martinis because they are rotting your brain. And if you think I am in the lower class of people in this world just because I don't eat at Els, I would love to compare payslips.....because I guarantee you I'll hurt your feelings.
Great video I look forward to trying those spots but I must say you forgot a true North Carolina Burger legend and that's Hap's grill in Salisbury NC I live in South Carolina and drive one and a half hours to eat their burgers it's a must try for sure
Was in Pea Ridge N.C.,close to Apex, ordered a burger all the way and got chili and coleslaw on it. Asked the waitress what is this, she said all the way why? I said I meant lettuce ,tomato, and onion. She said oh you meant run it through the garden. Anyway, I ate the way it came, and it wasn't bad.

I will definitely try this place out! Next time you're in the area, check out Pulliam's down the road, get barbecue sandwich and a hot dog. Definitely put the hot sauce on the barbecue. Be careful, Big Ed's is very hot 🔥@lowrollerscraps2477

Awwww I LOVE your fur baby, I do the same with mine, mine is 14 and certainly has his days now, much love to your fur baby, 😊
Nicks is actually in Welcome. The Piedmont Aviation Snack Bar is a hidden gem. Had many a lunch there!

Very simple video, no non stop yapping. I like it

I am east. What do you recommend near wilmington.

EL's drive in. Morehead City. Born in '59, just like me. It's 92 miles from where I live now, but worth the trip.

@@nitrojunkie9027 It was a joke. Actually don't drink at all myself, it's a "James Bond" reference. Just that EL's reminds me of Home.
EL's is more famous for shrimp burgers than hamburgers.
The silent videographer is the best format.
Concord Grill NC-57 between Roxboro and Semora

Char grill is hard to beat. There is another one Cary.
Just come to Gibsonville and hit me up. Nothing like a charcoal grilled burger with homemade fries
Aint even gonna mention Whitevile. Where from 12 till 2 the whole town smells like hamburgers. Look for lines , cars or people.
You should try Johnsons cheeseburgers in siler City and the Rollie burger at Chris's Drive-In also in Siler City
You should check out Chuck's Grill old statesville rd, just in city limits of Charlotte NC
Been to some of them! Thats where horse meat is a delicacy!
Pete's burgers in reidsville's the best
If you get back to NC, you may want to head to Belhaven and stop at Farm Boys for a good burger
Glad to see you eat french fries with mustard
I thought the mustard went on the biscuits, not the taters. Perhaps I'm wrong. Been a while since I have seen the movie
Are you dipping your fries into mustard?!!
You need to come to Mamies Drive in dinner in Laurel Hill, NC.
You should rank them as you go!

Very interesting. I would've been confused too!
👍❤️
Brooks Sandwich House in the Noda neighborhood. And that little place in Cherryville I've always heard about.
I have to agree about Brooks but I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's closed down the City finally got their wish

Don't forget about South 21
New sub 😊
I had no idea there was a place to eat at the Winston-Salem airport.
Mostly for airplane workers, but they're blowing up as a place for the public. Check out their Facebook page!

Big Mama's in S.C burger with bacon Definitely a 2 hander
Salisbury please!!!
I totally agree Hap's is in a league all by itself
How about doing a review of the Food
Like Rocky Balboa said... It's edible. ;)
Tobacco road; How about some 🐷whole hog?🐖
Since you mentioned it, I'll go to Kepley's in High Point, just for you!

Can't they afford plates?
Great video. I recently did a video at Nick’s. How was the place in Reidsville?
I liked it. Went back a second time. Not mind blowing, but it's down home and good. Friendly staff.
That burger at Pete’s wasn’t impressive. I hope it tasted better than it looked.
Nick”s looked more like what I’m looking for.
