Keep up the grind brother. Keep in mind that you are in a beautiful environment everyday and many of us would love to trade places with you. Even if the fish arnt biting
Great video Rich, some schoolies finally showing up on Nantucket here. Thanks for helping me thru the winter! Have a safe trip north when you head back. Take care, Brian Macort.
Hmm, your “bad” day was looking pretty good to me. Remember, a lot of your supporters from the Great White North would love to boat a Redfish AND a Snook on the same outing. Love your work; keep it coming.
Great video I like that popper, rapala's and lg spoons.. Now the rapala's I use are on the large side at least 5 inches and surface ones, in other words floating or shallow no mid water or deep a fish will always come up off the bottom to get it.. I'm not telling you what to do I catch more fish and I like it that way. Ok so when fish are not biting or stop biting its because maybe they ate their fill but more likely its because sea monsters have entered the area and spooked the others away, so you keep trying knowing whats going on cause on occasion one of those is going to slam that line
Rich, thanks for keeping it real on this channel. Sometimes I get really discouraged by my own lack of success out on the water. It’s hard to remember that ups and downs just come with the territory...That even the best fishermen struggle from time to time.
...Rich....never mind you didn't "get 'em in the boat"....those two strikes and hookups on snook were awesome.....thanks for posting.....the video and audio quality of your posts are outstanding......keep 'em coming... :)
Always a good watch, I notice you just give a quick straight pull when retrieving your cast net, give fluffing it with a few short pulls after it hits the bottom to draw the braille lines/lead up tight prior to it lifting off the bottom so you dont create an opening when you first start pulling.
I know, not the best day but those two top water strikes would sustain me for a couple of days at least. I’m dying to put up your inshore rod against some northerns when the ice finally goes away in North MN.
Maybe a few things you can try different is changing out those trebles for in line hooks on that top water plug and also try belly hooking your live bait instead of through the nose. Those two tricks have helped keep more snook pinned on the hook. Try it!😎
Excellent job patterning the Island. Both those plug fish were big . Those livebaits are tiny!! I have a buddy that smashes fish with little baits. I like the big baits but they al work. Used to tell customers that Elephants eat peanuts so why the need for big bait??
Rich, never caught a sbook but do you think the topwater lure being 'thrown' could have been due to applying too much pressure and enabllng the fish to easily head shake on the surface? The water film against fhe buoyancy of the lure affecting the hook hold.
Still good stuff Rich, we all have those days. Only gets better after a tough day like that, a monster is headed your way! When are you coming back up to north/MTK? Cheers man, be safe.
I live in Sebastian,on the Sebastian River. We’re u fishing the East or West side of the IRL. And were you North or South of the Inlet. Just want to get an idea , if you fishing were i fish. Thanks
It doesn’t matter. It closes after it hits the water and starts to sink. He may have gotten a little more “open” time but it is diminishing because it is closing as it sinks. He threw it pretty far.
Hey Rich, we haven’t seen you on your boat in like 5 months. I swear you took it to Florida and had videos on it, then it vanished. What happened? Did you sell it? Also, when are you headed north again?
What are talking about ? Sebastian Inlet is some the best fishing in the world ! They have Snook there twice as long as my leg! The Trout there are huge as well. The Redfish are fat like slobs ! And if you are not careful, The Goliath Grouper will haul your ass out to sea ! You want great fish, go to the "Inlet" !

Schoolies and 30 inchers are showing up in CT. Finally lol
Always a good day when you post
Tough luck on those amazing snook! It was still super exciting to watch! Thanks, Rich!
Much respect for still showing the slower days!
This is my favorite way to start my day off. Watching these. I can't really pinpoint why. But i do know i find them therapeutic.
Rich, great material as always man. Haven't missed one of your videos for as long as I can remember
As a kayaker my how cool is to stand up in you kayak and toss your cast net.

Not my worst day! Still enjoyable for us to watch. Thanks!
You need to get up north, the Striper fishing is amazing this year!
Dude you got some exciting days ahead in that spot!!!
Hey man, they don’t always go the way you wish but still loved the video. Keep up the great work! Fish on 🎣
Awesome video Rich!!
Ordered 12/16 recieved 2/3/21 over all seems nice will have to wait for warm weather to use. Will have time to upgrade , great info on you tube .
Bad luck on those good Snook, mate, just one of those days when nothing seems to stick. I'm sure you'll be back and nail a few!
Great content sir. Darn, you're good with that cast net. From a kayak no less!

That is a cool fishing spot.

Like always, amazing content. Keep it up!
Another great video
Goog, beautiful spot fishing,,🥰🥰🥰🤝
Great video.
Best fishing channel 🎉
Pretty good day bro keep posting love your videos hope I can be in the water 🔜
I lost a bull reds the other day, he bent the treble hooks. I was pretty bummed but it just motivates me to grind harder.

Yes, too much pressure also can tear a hole in the mouth and as soon as there is a little slack the fish may throw the hook.
Where did you get your car seat covers?? Can you do a video showing your whole inside car setup?
Dedicated brother 💪
Hi I'm Rob from UK 🇬🇧 nice work bro
Still good stuff Rich, we all have those days. Only gets better after a tough day like that, a monster is headed your way! When are you coming back up to north/MTK? Cheers man, be safe.
Aye the day ended on a good note
That’s awesome if you ever in Wisconsin hit me up so you can do some real fishing in the lakes haha
He Rich, next episode stay out a little later so we can have a laugh while the no-see-em’s eat your rear end off as you paddle past the mangroves.
can you tell us about your Visser reel especially in comparison to the VS ?
Gittim.......my man..
Gittim.....
I'd sharpen the hooks on that lure and loosen up a touch on the drag after losing 3 big fish.
Can't have your best day, without havin' your worst day...
I live in Sebastian,on the Sebastian River. We’re u fishing the East or West side of the IRL. And were you North or South of the Inlet. Just want to get an idea , if you fishing were i fish. Thanks
It’s either juicy or morsel with this guy :-)
Use a hook sharpener. You'll likely land alot more fish. At least double, I find.
Everytime you hookup or hit some obstruction, touch up that point!
I gotta nice hook file for $8.
Stone hones work very well too.
Cheapest way to significantly increase catches
I never had thrown a bait net. So, question? Shouldn’t you let the net settle deeper before pulling it back? Or is it that shallow?
It doesn’t matter. It closes after it hits the water and starts to sink. He may have gotten a little more “open” time but it is diminishing because it is closing as it sinks. He threw it pretty far.
@@ShemaYisrael1948 thanks!
Can you do a tutorial video of throwing the bait net?
Disappointing day! It happens!… edit: i commented too early, ya landed one at the end of the vid lol solid day!
i feel your pain i lost a monster over the weekend. would have been my biggest catch.
When are you comming north
What color is that skitter?
Is that a 12 foot hobie ???
When you coming back to Long Island
Hey Rich, we haven’t seen you on your boat in like 5 months. I swear you took it to Florida and had videos on it, then it vanished. What happened? Did you sell it? Also, when are you headed north again?
