After seeing this, I grabbed some black electrical tape and did this to my old wood windows, and I could tell the difference right away! Thanks!!!!
awesome idea. Thank you. I just did to my windows with cottonballs and can already tell an immediate difference. I put electrical tape on the seal of my window to test it out and sure enough that cold breeze is gone. I'm gonna get some of that tape as well to seal the rest. Thank you again! I know this is an old video but I hope others having this issue will see this because this could help you as well!
Awesome tip thank you. It made a huge difference to my very drafty windows.
GREAT idea!! I will be ordering some & getting my windows done asap! Thanks for sharing a great efficiency tip!! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the comment!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will do this to my drafty window in my office upstairs. Also, I appreciate the tip about not sealing all windows because of emergencies like a fire.
Glad it was helpful!
You actually could do every single window in your house! All you would need to “unlock” the sealant is your pocket knife!
Excellent video. I appreciate the level of detail that you showed.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you who knew….it works☺️
You're welcome!
Gonna try this,thank you.
Thank you
Cotton balls are a great idea. Only video I found that solves that little spot.
Is there a permanent solution? I bet in summer the heat will be an issue.
Nice video. I think ill try caulking where you taped
Looks great!!!👍👌👍👌
..
Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
I am here because... I have drafty windows throughout my old house. ☁️🌬🥶
Every winter, I use the 3M Window Insulation Kit to cover windows throughout my house...and then take it down in the Spring, along with trying to remove what tape I can from the woodwork. 🥴 It's a chore and looks unsightly, but...definitely helps to keep much of yhe drafts out. 👌
Wondering how this would compare? 🤔 Definitely less time-consuming and looks much much better, if nothing else, but... How does it compare to plastic-wrapping? 🤔
I just posted another new video that may help with that. Thanks for watching.
@@ryanf.7933 Wow...awesome! 😊👍👍 Thank you SO much...greatly appreciated! 🤩
When spring comes, will the tape come off? Does it leave a residue?
great job!...I can't think of what you would call it, but on top of your bottom window, don't some people put sort of thicker material... like tubing of sorts ..i forget the name..
But how is this helpful when you wanna actually open your window
Great idea! I will be trying this. I have wood windows, will it peel off the paint?
If the paint is in good condition, it should be OK and not peel off.
I thought Jason Sudeikis was showing how to insulate windows! Lol😅
so how do you open the windows when you want them open?
Take the tape off and open them
This solution is really for the cold winters where you are not opening your windows

Did you notice any difference on soundproofing road noise?
Yes. By sealing gaps, it helps with sound proofing as well
Hi Ryan! Do you think 3/4" will do?
I would go with the 1" so there's plenty of adhesion on both sides of the gap.
Dear lord
Then you can't open the window 🤔👎
This will rip off the paint on painted wood windows
