I went to Europe in 2022 (with family, visited four countries for a whole month, applied to Switzerland because we were staying there the longest (8 days)).
In your cover letter, if you are going with family, mention there names and passport numbers and relationship to you as well. Even if you don't write a 3 page long cover letter, it is fine. But clearly show a day by day itinerary and places of stay and how you will travel internally
We showed return flight tickets from India (India to Paris, and return from Athens to India), 5 hotel bookings, 2 Airbnb bookings, Swiss half-fare card, internal railway tickets (eg, Paris to Zurich, Zurich to Milan), one ferry ticket, one internal flight. Everything as if we had already been granted the visa.
Is it all prepaid, like hotel booking and ferry?

I just watched your video how to make a Schengen Visa. It's very informative, I want to visit Europe (starting point is France) with my wife and we have just received a rejection letter. My tour date is 10 th May to 22 th May. This is a group tour arranged by a tour agency.
We both got the same rejection reason is 'The information submitted........ not reliable'
I don't understand what to do, I want to reapply next week. Below are my doubts.
1)In our NOC letter, we have mentioned our leaves one before and one after the tour (9 and 23) and tour dates and places, shall we need to mention only travel dates?
2) Out of 5.2L balance, I hv taken 4L from my SBI Maxgain account where I parked this surplus amount to save the interest just 10 days before the appointment and only mentioned that I transferred it from my another account, I didn't provide max gain account details becz that statement shows negative amount (i.e your remaining loan amount) should I need to submit that account statement also.
3) I had done a sale deed last week, I have not submitted that DD in my account till date. Shall I need to submit it and should I attach an agreement copy, as amount is big.
4) what should I write in my covering letter
5)Most important,should we trust on VFS employees?

Hello please give me some suggestion:
I will be travelling with my wife (self employed) from India
As per the Schengen Visa checklist, personal ITR of last 2 assessment years are needed for self-employed applicants
However she only has 1 year ITR. She has good standing financial details and active last 3 months personal and business bank account statements.
Will it be better if I apply as Family where only the head of family (in this case -myself) needs to attach bank statements?
Or should we both apply as self employed?

I have a few questions regarding Schengen VISA before applying.
(1) I am currently employed but retiring on 30th April. My travel date starts from 10thMayy. How should I declare myself as employed or retire ?
(2) We are a group of 5 friends traveling together in Austria and Italy. 3 are coming from the US, myself and my husband joining from India. Therefore one of our friends has booked the internal travel tickets and hotel bookings. So should I show the friend a sponsor?
(3)Since I am in a transferable job, the address in my Passport and my current address are different.
We are both(me and my husband) senior retd govt officer and Public Sector executive and are frequent travelers.
Would appreciate an early reply based on your judgement. Thank you.
1. You should mention that I am working and will be retiring on this date.
2. Yes you should mention that you are travelling with friends as your internal tickets are together. You don’t need to show your friend as sponsor as you will be paying them eventually and hence they are not sponsoring you.
3. Having different address won’t be a problem

You can mention that you are a student and doing part time to sustain yourself and you have funds as well which you secured before coming to UK. That should work

You need to have very strong finances and home times, if you have that you’ll surely get the Visa even on fresh passport
for which country i apply for dummy flight as i have to enter Amsterdam and exit from Zurich

My France tourist visa was refused for my family of four with the same reason as yours . I had not submitted day to day travel itinerary and my cover letter was very short stating i would like to visit France for 7 days and Germany for 5 days could that be the reason for it ? Everything else was fine including bank statements, itr, flight and hotel bookings .
That must have been the reason for your rejection. Can you check and tell me what was the reason in your rejection letter ?

That’s really strange. Which embassy was it ? And did you ask, if not a4 then how are you supposed to write or print a cover letter ?
VFS people are mindless. You can force and mention that you take consent and then ask them to include it.

When you book your appointment on vfs there you will find an option to book group appointment. Yes you need to write seperate cover letters for all the members. It Can not be same.
