- Masada, a fortress on top of an isolated rock plateau. According to the historian Josephus Flavius, in 70 AD the Romans took siege of this fort for three months which forced resulted in one of the most tragic events in human history.

I climbed Masada! Watched the sun rise over the Dead Sea! Incredible. No lift then. This was 1998. Then climbed back down and floated in the Sea. Went to Jerusalem and Galilee. Backpacking. Just deciding on the day where to go and staying in hostels. Oh to be young again!!! Guys. When our Lord returns to His throne we will all be there to worship Him 🙏 🙌 thank you Jesus for saving me. I visited Masada in the 90s and the cable car did not go all the way to the top then, so we had to walk UP the old road!....all those stairs! Now THAT was hard work, but worth every step. I love your videos, they bring back wonderful memories. Thank you.
Second viewing. This time, after having personally walked there and after having looked down on the Roman fortification, I knew that Sergio was actually among the Roman walls irritating future archeologists. And this time I could feel again the impact that the Lord has had upon this fine couple like He has had on my wife and me. Thank you, and hello again from Utah, Sergio and Rhoda.

Hiked up and down for the sunrise . It was an amazing experience. Exhausted but totally Worth it.
I visited Masada in the 1970s. I took the trail up. There was not safety rail then! Afterwards, the line for the cable car was too long for me, so I RAN down the snake trail. I learned that if I was cautious, and watched where I was stepping, I would stumble and it slowed me down. But, if I just let go and gazed generally ahead, I could fly along at brake-neck speed, completely sure footed. That was the day I learned to let my inner genius guide my foot steps - on the walls of Masada!!

Walking down the road! Yall remind me of me and what I do with my bf and dogs. Only we dont go to ancient places because the only thing ancient in Texas is a buried treasure by the Spaniards and some bones. But we go off the beaten trail on road trips and have discovered some cool little places. Yall are my fav channel. I love history. I learn more about the bible and yall are just the best. In the writings of Italian mystic Maria Valtorta (1897 - 1961) taken from the book "Poem of the Man~God".. Jesus visited Masada with some of his Apostles... On the way climbing to the top Peter being the outspoken person he is never shy speaking his mind.. complained very much about climbing to such a place remarked; "We should have taken the other way, this way is too difficult. Jesus told Peter: "When we are in town and you see the other road, you will thank Me for choosing this one. A man can climb up here, although with some difficulty. A goat can hardly climb up the other one"...
