Justin is the type of guy who's number I'd collect after the round of golf and actually text to play again. Pure class.
Erik says on the #7 flyover "just play music, no talking needed for this hole" then proceeds to talk over the flyover the entire time. lol
Teared up listening to Erik talk about taking his grandfather to Pebble. Awesome
The most beautiful thing about these videos is the poetry behind every player and moment. You start by guessing who is the best golfer; who will break the desired score. Then you fall in love with their stories, their struggles, their accomplishments. An then, after 8 holes, you simply cannot take your eyes away from the video because you see yourself in them. The highs, the lows, the joy, the frustrations. We all have been there. Kudos to the team for capturing the complexity and making something special.

I’ve been lucky enough to play great courses all over the world. Wherever I play from the local muni to St Andrews I come back home and my wife asks if I had a good round and I answer with the usual terrible or great or somewhere in between. Pebble Beach was the only course that when she asked I couldn’t answer because I just teared up. An almost spiritual experience playing at an iconic course surrounded by such beauty.

Congrats to Aaron for low gross, but more importantly congrats to all of you for the opportunity to play pebble and for all being people I would love to golf with! Embodies what Erik is going for with RGC, rather then all the shit talk in the comments about people’s handicaps.
The 7th was just SPECIAL! The Holy Grail for all golfers and to see 3 people experiencing it for the first time was awesome.
Years from now, I won’t remember how each person score, but I will remember the fun this group of guys had out there.

As someone who has never ever played golf, when they got to the point where they were trying to articulate the feeling of reaching hole 7, I feel like the way to describe it is that it is almost sentient. It's not like approaching another golf hole, but rather it's like coming to meet someone. That someone has met people, seen things, and it hasn't gone places but places have come to it. I would imagine reaching the hole as if you're climbing the mountain to meet the sage, and when you've done your thing, you then move on to the next, but hole 7 is still there, waiting for the next person to meet it.
Love seeing the crew out there on the stunning par 3. Well done putting this masterpiece together.

My father loved golf and there is a picture of me running on some fairway in my diaper on Pebble Beach way back in 1967/68. This video got me a little chocked up. Everything about these videos is spot on and a joy to watch.
I'm a new viewer and couldn't be happier. Always wanted to play Peeble and now I feel like I did with y'all. I am stoked about the Bandon Dunes videos. We are going in January 2024 for our 7th group trip. I used to caddie there and have to go back every two years to get my fill. Safe travels and fun golf to all.
Thanks to all those involved in putting this fantastic series together. It's very likely the closest I'll ever get to playing such an iconic golfing venue.

I'm playing Pebble for the first time in a month and this Breaking series could not have dropped at a better time. Got to meet all these guys at the Sharp Park Mad Scramble the day before they shot this. Awesome to see everyone out there! These guys need some putter lie adjustments haha
EAL said something that I will definitely keep in mind next month; don't let the golf get in the way of the experience. Great stuff as always.
Golf course was really difficult today, some decent golfers in this group but no one broke 90. I played pebble before in similar conditions and the low single figure handicappers in my group shot mid 90s as well

I'm a 28 handicap and just played Pebble. Definitely my worst round in the last year and shot a good 10 strokes higher than Spanish Bay and Spyglass (a 112).
You definitely get the yips on the first 2 or 3 holes but after that that your game speaks for itself. So the fact that Mr. 2 was four over through 3 and shoot THIRTY-SIX OVER is just unfathomable.
I feel bad for EAL and the team and you can tell he's frustrated by his silence in moments of the VO. Hopefully this made them adjust their vetting process.
Imagine a goal of 77 and only just breaking 100. That’s wild.
I'm a 9. I've played Pebble 3 times and shot 83, 84, 86. A 2 shooting 77 on his first time literally made me laugh out loud. The 9 on the first hole sealed the deal.

@@ryantunna not really, some very good golfers in National Championships shoot high 90s, its really tough playing Championship Golf Courses from the tips. Even some US Open Competitors shot in the 90s in the 1982 and 1992 US Opens at Pebble Beach, and these were some of the best golfers in the world

The experience no matter what gets in the way of the golf…. If you are a scratch and make a double on 6… sure… you may be mad for a few seconds but looking out at the water and the scene makes you lesssssssssss mad.
