How wonderfully the Hyderabad Brothers have sung this kriti! Sung in unhurried manner, in slow tempo, and rich in sowkhya bhaava, the way Carnatic music must be sung. The raaga bhava of Bhoopalam also comes through perfectly. Perfect diction, superb adherence to shruti, and very pleasant voices: What more can a rasika ask for? And because the brothers sang this kriti with great bhaava, it touched my heart, the anahata chakra, where bhakti resides, and I felt reverence for the great composer of this kriti, Shree Mutthuswami Deekshitar. Listening to this calmed my mind immediately. A wave of well-being spread through my body. Isn't the purpose of Carnatic music, after all, to calm one's mind?

Yesh Prabhu ... very well expressed.... same here.... too bad they sing together now.
Hi swathi05. I am astonished that you wrote: "Too bad that they sing together now." Actually, when they sing together they sound wonderful. When the elder bother, Shree Sheshachari, suffered from ill health, they stopped singing together for a short time. Now that he has recovered completely, they are singing together again. He now sounds even better than he did two years ago! In this video, they are singing together; you can hear their voices when they sing neraval and swaras separately. A few months ago I heard Shree Raghavachari singing alone at the Shringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He sang very well, of course, but I missed Shree Sheshachari. Then, during my current annual trip to Chennai, I heard the two brothers singing together on Dec 21, 2016, at the Arkay Convention Center, Mylapore The concert was grand: They sang a most wonderful Bhairavi alapana. Harikambodhi was the main raga, followed by Shree Thyagaraja's Enduku nirdaya. They sang the kriti as only the Hyderabad Brothers could sing: In unhurried manner, with vishranthi between sangathis, to give the rasika's mind time to appreciate the melody of the sangathis. Contrast their singing with the singing of the very popular Trichur bothers: Often, they flood the rasikas' minds with a torrential flow of overlapping sangathis, with no vishraanthi between sangathis. (The rasikas seem to like it that way, however, and they give the vocalists huge applause whenever they sing like that.) I heard Hyderabad Brothers again, on Dec 23, 2016 at the Ragasudha Hall. The hall was packed. They gave a superb concert. Their wonderful Kamach alapana and Sri Thyagaraja kriti Sujana jeevana, I can still hear in my head. Few vocalists sing this kriti with so much bhaava. I am so very happy that the two brothers are together again.

The album in toto has come up very well. I think Hyderabad Brothers do justice to Dikshitar Kritis as much as DK Jayaraman. Wish they also release album on Navavarna and Panchabhuta linga kritis of Dikshitar.
Sadaananda everytime one hears sadachaleswaram , especially from masters like the Brothers .(The same kriti sung by Amritaji Venkatesh in a more vigorous style is also incredibly musical)
Pl dont compare. Each ones bani is a unique stamp of their own
Incredible rendition by Hyderabad Brothers. We have listened to this countless times. Thank you for uploading.

I remember when I was in my early teens, we used to have a CD with the full set of songs on Diskshitar and this was the first rendition.
I used to listen to this on the loop with my paati and younger brother, and then we used to sing it back.
Thanks to the UA-cam algorithm for bringing such fond memories back!
Divine rendition. Sadachaleshwaram bhavaye 🙏
