I guess the best way to explain how the music should be played would be to think of what you're playing as "allowing the music to Breathe" . The timing marking are to be considered as a "Suggested Guide" to the flow of the music , without Over or Under Emphasising musical phrasing or you end up interrupting the flow of the music. Music is much more satisfying to listen to then Musical Parody (which it too often becomes)
It's my feeling that all Guitarists, regardless of their Player Level, should be paying attention to Rovshan's attitude towards not Overemphasing the lead parts of Musical Phrasing to fit a certain "Style" of how compositions are played, simply from where the Music is from ! Music is a "World Language" not necessarily governed by Traditional Cultural expectations of how countless Guitarists play the pieces. It's what keeps the Music fresh & interesting !
